Can you imagine a so called news network having to sit their so called journalists down and tell them to cease and desist with their blatant lying.

For a real journalist, writing "Fake News" stories consisting of rumor, supposition, innuendo, fly blown conclusions and outright lying for political purposes would be disgusting and contemptible.

But, there aren't any real journalists at CNN and writing that kind of crap is standard practice for political activists posing as journalists.

And, now we get down to the real reason purveyors of Fake News are disgusting and contemptible.

They're disgusting and contemptible because they're leftist lunatic political activists and propaganda artists hiding behind a mask of "journalism".

What's even more disgusting and contemptible are those leftist lunatics who bill themselves as "intellectually, morally and spiritually superior beings" lapping up the lies like mother's milk and spewing out the lies across the American landscape.

Why CNN can't have nice things
Monica Showalter

In an extraordinary move, CNN's staff, from social media, to video, to editorial, to MoneyStream, has been told "No Russia reporting for you!" without adult supervision.

According to the Daily Caller:

No one should publish any content involving Russia without coming to me and Jason,” CNNMoney executive editor Rich Barbieri said in an email obtained by BuzzFeed. “This applies to social, video, editorial, and MoneyStream. No exceptions.” The “Jason” referred to in the email is a vice president at CNN, according to BuzzFeed.

Hear that? No exceptions.

Sounds like someone's been playing hookey from actual news-gathering and has gone off to the peep shows or something.

The leaked memo comes in the wake of a string of embarrassments in the network's Russia coverage, with CNN living up to its nickname, "fake news," bestowed President Trump. How could stories that had to be retracted - downright pulled from the website - be anything else?

It's probably a reasonable response, given that the network's claim about Trump transition team member, Anthony Scaramucci, claiming he was under investigation for Russia ties, turned out to be pure garbage and the network had to apologize to him, probably to stay out of libel court.

But oh, what an embarrassing thing to get out in the journalism world! Not just the order to clear it with the adults, the leaked memo, too.

The thing is, it signals that CNN's reporters and writers don't have sufficient news judgment to report on this topic without adult supervision. Apparently word has gotten around on the left that pretty much any old thing can be made up and any innuendo leaked with impunity to CNN. Imagine the newsroom atmosphere were ever reporter has suddenly allowed himself to be used as flypaper - for scurrilous, made-up, cooked up, invented lies.

Apparently, they've gotten away with it for so long, it's how they do business. And now the executives have sought to stop it and maybe restore the news agency's now missing credibility.

Once upon a time, CNN was an innovator in news production. I remember how the network was known for hiring non-telegenic journalists to send the explicit message that CNN did not hire cupcakes based on pretty faces, but only the most talented and professional journalists.

Their problem now isn't pretty or unpretty faces, but whether their reporters want to report the news or content themselves with being a public relations vehicle for every ignorant, malevolent and partisan wack job on Capitol Hill, the non-government agencies, the out-of-work Obama dead-enders and perhaps their holdovers still in the White House. Does that sound like a dignified role?

Apparently, the execs of the place have taken notice.

Trump retweeted a mocked-up CNN logo mocking the cable channel as the 'FAKE NEWS NETWORK'

FNN Fake News Network!

Trump on CNN retraction: 'What about all the other phony stories they do?'
Rebecca Savransky
06/27/17

President Trump blasted CNN early Tuesday after the network retracted a story published last week tying a top Trump ally to a Russian investment bank.

"Wow, CNN had to retract big story on 'Russia,' with 3 employees forced to resign," Trump tweeted.

"What about all the other phony stories they do? FAKE NEWS!"

The president's comments come after three CNN staffers resigned following the network's retraction.

Thomas Frank, the author of the story, Eric Lichtblau, an editor in the CNN investigative unit that ran the story and Lex Haris, who oversaw the unit, have all left CNN, the network reported Monday.
The retracted story connected Anthony Scaramucci, a top proponent of Trump, to a Russian investment fund run by a bank controlled by the Kremlin.

"In the aftermath of the retraction of a story published on CNN.com, CNN has accepted the resignations of the employees involved in the story's publication," a spokesman said Monday.

An internal CNN investigation reportedly found normal editorial processes weren't followed in the stories editing and publication.

Trump often hits on CNN and refers to stories from the network as "fake news."

Trump early Tuesday also retweeted an modified image of the network’s logo that refers to CNN as FNN, or the Fake News Network.

CNN "ratings are incredible right now," President Trump "good for business"

John Bonifield, CNN Producer Says Russia Narrative "Mostly ******** right now"

"Get back to Russia," Says CEO Jeff Zucker

President Trump is Right About Witch Hunt, "No real proof"

Comes in Wake of CNN's Russia-Gate Retraction & New Rules on Russia Coverage

(NEW YORK) -- Project Veritas has released a video of CNN Producer John Bonifield who was caught on hidden-camera admitting that there is no proof to CNN's Russia narrative.

"I mean, it's mostly ******** right now," Bonifield says. "Like, we don't have any giant proof."

He confirms that the driving factor at CNN is ratings:

"It's a business, people are like the media has an ethical phssssss... All the nice cutesy little ethics that used to get talked about in journalism school you're just like, that's adorable. That's adorable. This is a business."

According to the CNN Producer, business is booming. "Trump is good for business right now," he concluded.

Bonifield further goes on to explain that the instructions come straight from the top, citing the CEO, Jeff Zucker:

"Just to give you some context, President Trump pulled out of the climate accords and for a day and a half we covered the climate accords. And the CEO of CNN (Jeff Zucker) said in our internal meeting, he said good job everybody covering the climate accords, but we're done with that, let's get back to Russia."

Bonifield also acknowledged: "I haven't seen any good enough evidence to show that the President committed a crime." He continues:

"I just feel like they don't really have it but they want to keep digging. And so I think the President is probably right to say, like, look you are witch hunting me. You have no smoking gun, you have no real proof."

"To report not on facts, but instead on narratives that yield high ratings, is exactly the definition of fake news," said James O'Keefe. "We said we are going after the media, and there is a lot more to come."

Desperate Losers at the Fake News organs.

The media will do anything to bash Trump — and now they’re hurting
Michael Goodwin
June 27, 2017

It was many years ago, but the memory lingers of the first time I was embarrassed to be a journalist. It was a steamy summer afternoon and reporters and photographers were shoehorned into a small Manhattan apartment for a civic group’s announcement.

As we waited, a photographer wearing a “Press” card in his battered fedora picked up a bud vase from a table, pulled out the rose and drank the water in one gulp.

The hostess was horrified and shrieked, “What are you doing?” He looked at her as if she were nuts and said simply, “It’s hot in here and I’m thirsty.”

I laugh now at the outlandishness of the photographer’s behavior, but at the time I cringed and wondered: Do I really want to be a journalist and end up like that?

America should be so lucky now. Bad manners are the least of it.

In the sixth month of Donald Trump’s presidency, we are witnessing an unprecedented meltdown of much of the media. Standards have been tossed overboard in a frenzy to bring down the president.

Trump, like all presidents, deserves coverage that is skeptical and tough, but also fair. That’s not what he’s getting.

What started as bias against him has become a cancer that is consuming the best and brightest. In rough biblical justice, media attempts to destroy the president are boomeranging and leaving their reputations in tatters.

He accuses them of publishing fake news, and they respond with such blind hatred that they end up publishing fake news. That’ll show him.

CNN is suffering an especially bad case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, even trying to make a virtue of its hostility to the president. In doing so, executives conveniently confuse animus with professional skepticism, and cite growing audiences as proof of their good judgment.

The bottom line matters, and there is certainly an audience for hating Trump all the time. But facts and fairness separate major news organizations from any other business looking to make a buck, and a commitment to them creates credibility and public trust.

That’s how CNN sold itself for years — boring but trustworthy. Now it’s boring and untrustworthy.

For all its bravado, the network might be having doubts about its course. Its apology for and retraction of a story connecting a Trump associate to a Russia investment fund, and the resignation of three journalists involved, suggest the network fears it has lost control of its own agenda. It also issued a special edict barring all Russia coverage without approval from top bosses.

That’s hardly a solution to a problem that starts at the top. The secret recording of a CNN producer by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas catches the producer saying that CEO Jeff Zucker relentlessly pushes stories on Trump’s ties to Russia even though, the producer says, the subject is “mostly bulls–t.”

Russia, Russia, Russia is a fixation for all the networks, with a new study by the Media Research Center showing 55 percent of Trump coverage on nightly broadcasts was related to the Russia investigation.

That adds up to 353 minutes of airtime since May 17, compared to 47 minutes on Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris climate pact, 29 minutes on the fight against terrorism and 17 minutes on the efforts to repeal and replace ObamaCare, according to the Daily Caller’s summary of the study. It said tax reform got a mere 47 seconds of coverage.

Too much coverage is far from the only problem with Russia reporting. Writing for The Intercept, Glenn Greenwald shows how reckless CNN, the Washington Post and others have been, and makes two key points.

First, that mistakes are “always in the direction of exaggerating the threat and/or inventing incriminating links between” Russia and Trump. Second, that all the false stories “involved evidence-free assertions from anonymous sources that these media outlets uncritically treated as fact.”

He’s right, and I would add another dimension: For all the focus on Russia, the media totally missed a key point. To wit, the Obama administration did nothing about Vladimir Putin’s attempt to interfere in the 2016 election even though the White House knew about it for months.

Of course, most media organizations spent eight years cheerleading everything Obama did, and it’s no secret that members of his administration, along with career Democrats, are the anonymous sources feeding the anti-Trump narrative.

Still, it is remarkable that, if it weren’t for the unproven allegations of Trump collusion, the media would have no interest in the Russia story at all. This despite the fact that leading officials, including both Democrats and Republicans, have called the interference an “act of war.”

But it’s a strange war — one that is important only to the extent Trump can be linked to it. Otherwise, who cares?

A similar selective outrage is happening with daily White House press briefings. Tired of being the mouse in a cat-and-mouse game of torture, Trump’s press secretary, Sean Spicer, has kept the briefings basically intact but ordered live cameras and audio equipment turned off.

Predictably, the press corps has reacted as though Trump has shredded the Constitution, burned the Declaration of Independence and peed in their beer. Reporters are complaining bitterly and some murmur about a boycott, which would be like gouging out their last eye.

The White House Correspondents’ Association weighed in, saying, reasonably, that the briefings are important sources of information. But then it went off the rails, with its president, Jeff Mason of Reuters, saying televising them is “clearly in line with the spirit of the First Amendment” and that “doing away with briefings would reduce accountability, transparency, and the opportunity for Americans to see that, in the US system, no political figure is above being questioned.”

As Mason’s claims grew more grandiose, I flashed back to that photographer drinking from the bud vase so long ago. He was wrong, but honest and devoid of pretentious self-importance.

[b]On the other hand, there is nothing honest about the claim that letting reporters perform for the camera in the White House keeps faith with the First Amendment. It’s just inflated self-interest hiding behind the Constitution.

And really, really embarrassing to those of us who love journalism.

Anyone remember Van Jones? Jones is a Revolutionary Communist who the Marxist Messiah Obama hired for a White House gig. Now, Van Jones is infesting Fake News Central, CNN.

Van Jones: Russia is "Nothing burger" -- American Pravda: CNN Part 2

White House: Everyone Should Watch This Video

CNN Responds: Bonifield Just a "Health Producer"

(NEW YORK) -- Project Veritas' American Pravda: CNN continues today with a video of left-leaning political commentator Van Jones caught on camera plainly stating that "the Russia thing is just a big nothing burger."

This follows the release of a video of CNN Producer John Bonifield, who was caught touting the Russia narrative as "bullsh*t."

According to Brian Stelter on Twitter, CNN released a statement stating that Bonifield is just a "Health Producer" and "isn't involved in Russia or Trump coverage."

Paul Fahri of the Washington Post also weighed in on the Veritas video and Bonifield's position at CNN:

"[I]t never mentions that Bonifield is a producer of health and medical stories, raising questions about how relevant his views are, and how informed he is, about CNN's political coverage."

Jones is one of CNN's most prominent political commentators, and has appeared on CNN in the past attacking President Trump for his "Putin relationship."

On December 18, 2016 Jones said: "Other Presidents tried to say nice things about the Russians -- not in the face of an active attack on the country!"

"I mean, it's mostly ******** right now," Bonifield says in the first video. "Like, we don't have any giant proof."

CNN's Public Relations team eventually was forced by the overwhelming coverage of our video (with no help from them, of course) to give a statement:

"CNN stands by our medical producer John Bonifield. Diversity of personal opinion is what makes CNN strong, we welcome it and embrace it."

CNN is receiving heavy criticism from the President of the United States, and the video was mentioned by the Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders:

"There is a video circulating now. Whether it is accurate or not, I don't know, but I would encourage everybody in this room, and frankly, everybody across the country to take a look at it. I think if it is accurate, I think it's a disgrace to all of media, to all of journalism -- we've been going on this Russia-Trump hoax for the better part of a year now with no evidence of anything."

"Last year, we had to circumvent the mainstream media," said James O'Keefe. "At a Trump inaugural event, I put the mainstream media on notice. If you are in the media and are using deception or malfeasant tactics, you may want to sleep with one eye open."

We all know how accurate FOXXY NUEWS has been over the years, here is a link to demonstrate this:

Sean Hannity is news reader on the FOXXY Network, here is just one of his questionable reads of the news:

"During the (Benghazi) attack, a stand-down order was given, and our troops were told to change their clothes four times."
__Sean Hannity on Tuesday, June 28th 2016

FOXXY NUEWS is approved by our current POTUS-- many of his supporters will only watch that channel. nothing you post will change their minds. They will dance around it, parse words, change the subject, attack the community member.= Anything but believe a provable fact that goes against their mindset. This has happened to me personally too many times to count.

And now this: FOX NEWS
Rated TRUE by Pulitzer Prize holder Politifact.
10%
Rated False? 29%

Since CNN is also beloved by POTUS in the spin cycle lets look at them.

CNN:
True 13%
False 14%

In conclusion, between these two Networks [using solely T/F criteria] who tells Falsehoods more???

It's embarrassing watching leftists try to defend the Fake News Network, otherwise known as CNN. But then, leftists do like their fake news. What else do they have?

CNN’s Month-Long Nightmare
Peter Hasson
Associate Editor
06/28/2017

The last 30 days have been nothing short of a public relations nightmare for CNN.

The network is reeling after a brutal stretch that has seen two hosts taken off-air, one story retracted and another rewritten, accusations of staged protests, the resignations of three key employees and most recently, an ongoing series of undercover videos meant to portray CNN as misleading the public about the Trump-Russia stories that have dominated media coverage of the president so far.

Late on Tuesday, May 30, TMZ published images of CNN’s New Years Eve co-host, Kathy Griffin, taking part in a photoshoot with a mock severed head of President Trump. The story quickly blew up. Influential news aggregator Matt Drudge placed CNN’s ties to Griffin front and center on his site, the Drudge Report.

CNN cut ties with Griffin the next day, May 31, but it was too late to effectively distance the network from the media tornado surrounding Griffin’s actions. On June 3, the phrase “CNN is ISIS” trended on Twitter after Infowars host Alex Jones, a conspiracy theorist who has long supported Trump, offered $1,000 to “anyone who is seen on TV with a ‘CNN is ISIS’ t-shirt or sign.”

That same day, June 3, CNN host Reza Aslan — who has eaten human brain on live television — called Trump a “piece of **** ” and an “embarrassment to humankind.” (CNN has since cancelled Aslan’s show.)

Two days later, on June 5, CNN was forced to address claims that it “staged” a Muslim anti-ISIS protest after video emerged of CNN reporter Becky Anderson directing protesters where to stand with their signs. Drudge featured an article from right-wing blog The Gateway Pundit about the video titled, “SHOCK VIDEO: CNN Creates #FakeNews in London Following Terror Attacks, Stages Anti-ISIS Muslim Protesters.”

The network called the accusations “nonsense” in a statement released on June 5. “Police let demonstrators through the cordon to show their signs. CNN along with other media simply filmed them doing so,” CNN’s statement read. Days later more footage from the protest scene leaked, showing reporters milling about as they waited for protesters to get their posters.

The day after CNN addressed the London protest video, the network suffered another self-inflicted wound.

CNN ran a story on June 6 that claimed former FBI Director James Comey would use his testimony the next day to refute Trump’s claim that Comey had assured him three separate times that he was not under FBI investigation. That story was debunked the same day when Comey’s prepared remarks were released to the public, showing that Comey would actually confirm, rather than refute, Trump’s assertion.

The botched story had four bylines, including those of three veteran journalists: anchor Jake Tapper, chief political analyst Gloria Borger and executive editor Eric Lichtblau, who had recently joined CNN from The New York Times. CNN was forced to rewrite the piece with a correction noting the error.

That story was among more than a dozen negative articles about CNN featured on the Drudge Report over the last month, according to a Daily Caller review of an online archive of the site. The Drudge Report often sets the tone for other conservative media sites, and Drudge has kept the pressure on CNN over the last month. (RELATED: Time Warner Shareholders Rebuke CNN’s Jeff Bewkes For Network’s Trump Bashing)

CNN’s nightmare month continued last week when CNN.com published, deleted, and then retracted and apologized for, an article that claimed Trump adviser Anthony Scaramucci was the subject of a Senate investigation for his ties to Russian bankers. Three key members of CNN’s investigative team resigned on Monday for their role in the retracted story. Lichtblau, the executive editor who co-authored the botched Comey story, was among those who resigned.

Late Monday night, conservative activist James O’Keefe released hidden-camera video that showed a CNN producer, John Bonifield, saying that Trump was “probably right” that the Trump-Russia story was a “witch hunt.”

Though Bonifield’s focus is on health — not Russia — the story quickly took off, in part because the producer portrayed the company culture as one that treated Trump-Russia stories as a hunt for ratings rather than a pursuit of truth. He described, for example, CNN president Jeff Zucker ordering the company’s focus “back to Russia” just a day and a half after Trump pulled out from the Paris climate accords, which was portrayed by some in the media as an earth-changing decision.

O’Keefe kept the focus on CNN by releasing on Wednesday a video of CNN commentator Van Jones describing the Trump-Russia story as a “big nothingburger.”

Drudge immediately made the video the lead of his site, captioning it: “O’KEEFE STRIKES AGAIN.”

The night before, Drudge’s lead story was a Washington Post article titled, “CNN’s Russia story debacle came at the worst possible time for the network.” Drudge’s headline for the article read: “CNN IN HELL.”

Also on Wednesday, the New York Post kept alive the scandal around CNN’s Scaramucci story, running an exclusive that claimed the network pulled the article after the Trump associate threatened them with a $100 million lawsuit.

The month of drama appears to be taking a toll on CNN’s employees. A depressed atmosphere settled over the company after the three resignations, CNN sources told BuzzFeed. “It’s been a tough week but I’m proud to work at a place that corrects mistakes and values transparency on them,” reporter Andrew Kaczynski wrote on Twitter Tuesday night.

Kaczynski’s tweet came in response to a celebratory tweet from President Trump, who has regularly bashed the network as “fake news” and “very fake news.”

“Wow, CNN had to retract big story on ‘Russia,’ with 3 employees forced to resign,” Trump wrote. “What about all the other phony stories they do? FAKE NEWS!”

Question for the Trumpets

Wby is no-one disgusted by the campaign images of Trump holding Hillary's severed head? But Griffin's mirror image is seen as criminal?

The Trump version was not only online but on tshirts, coffee mugs and other merchandise widely advertised during his campaign.

I heard no complaint from him nor any of his supporters, quite the opposite it was seen as a statement of macho brilliance

Because it wasn't Trump holding Hillary The Corrupt's severed head...nor anyone connected to Trump's campaign. Trump had absolutely nothing to do with it.

On the other hand, an aging, useless, over the hill, never was, unfunny comedian, with a political ax to grind and a desire to jump start her failed career, in other words a leftist lunatic decided to get some leftist applause by holding up an image of Trump's severed head.

I see. So the image of Trump holding Hillary's head is not Trump holding Hillary's head. But somehow Griffin IS holding trumps head even though that is not trumps head but a rubber mask with some messy orange hair.

Because Trump didn't do it himself.. it doesn't matter that it didnt bother him or any of his fans.

My bad, i thought you might be objecting to hypocrisy. I see its really about protecting poor liitle Don Wan

I've never seen that image before and don't believe it was used at all by Trump or his campaign team for the presidency.

Griffon's display was graphic, insulting and just unnecessary. Even she said she crossed a line. It's disturbing that anyone would want to encourage or glorify the assassination of a president.

The image you shared has photo shopped faces of Trump and Hillary onto Perseus and Medusa, which seems like more of a political statement.

CNN, Fox and MSNBC all have bias. Some more than others. Most of the time we are not hearing news - we're hearing opinions. That's why it's important to read, hear and watch multiple sources.

CNN has embarrassed themselves in regards to Trump and this presidency.
