}}It's incredibly surreal
how numb and detached they are ... willing to harm our system and displace so many off affording healthcare.
The latest they offered was more like the large-emergency insurance that schools used to make parents pay for when I was in school and active in sports. Doesn't cover "health"... only snapped-bones, etc. No "sick" coverage.
Really, they are acting against The People, to harm and worsen life-- take away quality of life.
While???? "GOP Lawmakers buy Health Insurance STOCKS????"
That's like acting on inside-trading tips to increase their wealth... as they FORCE people to purchase their private products?
Last week, the place I purchase care from with my insurance, LOST another two health care providers.
It put ME in a care-gap right now, because they seem to be RE-booting me as though they'd never seen me before. Treat me like a new patient.
I take 2 prescriptions that my life depends on. (1 hormone replacement pill thyroid, and 1 acid reducer. I found out they sell the acid reducer over the counter--- I just splurged some money buying this. I have to DOUBLE the dosage to have prescription strength. ...
The Synthroid (thyroid hormone I need to sustain life-- NO Skipping days or I get VERY VERY sick!!)) will run out BEFORE the NEW person sees me--
On that new-patient appointment, they will then make another blood draw to determine my dosage,
which will take 3 or 4 days before the results come in,
which takes another 2 or 3 days for my pharmacy to order that hormone IN to their store -- because new business policies there NOW prevent them from shelving my hormone, planning IN Advance!! The pharmacy adds an extra step -- my pill must 'ordered' (after forwarding a script from doc electronically) to a MAIN Warehouse, who then ships the bottle individually to the store, where I go to purchase it. *shakes head*.
Insurance is a joke sometimes--- they only send "30" days of pills, which "short" each patient during calendar months of "31" days. Throws everything off-cycles... There is 'no' emergency stockpiling allowed for patients (we get hurricanes here--- if something 'happened' I would get SOOOO ILL.)
I asked the pharmacist if I could whole-price purchase a bottle and by-pass the insurance (so I can have an emergency supply). She said I could---- BUT I 'still' need a script.
So---- Question.
Should I go spend insurance dollars at the hospital emergency room, in order to get a script, so I can have the supply on-hand.
I'll have to come up with a sum to pay for a month supply out-of-pocket, instead of insurance $11 copay.
My medicare plus copay will should cover the ER visit. If I go Off-Balance in my hormones, by taking Higher Dosage (old pills), then that (robot) doctor reads that my blood levels are 'too high' and they 'reduce' the amount of hormone and wait 3 mos for another draw... which will show I am WAY WAY too low-- (in the mean time, I know from EXPERIENCE of 40 years, that I could go into a bout with 'depression' when my thyroid levels stoop that low).
The emergency room visit "makes sense" ...
The new doctor can't be seen until the 27th, then dosage script wouldn't be delivered until August.
I've been WITH that SAME Medical Provider for 3 or 4 years now!! They 'have' my medical records---
Doesn't anyone who swore their Hippocrates-Oaths to "DO NO HARM" .."think" about 'consequences' of the live patient OVER the running of a business????
