http://theintercept.com/2017/07/06/republican-lawmakers-buy-health-insurance-stocks-as-repeal-effort-moves-forward/

Just as the House Republican bill to slash much of the Affordable Care Act moved forward, Rep. Mike Conaway, a Texas Republican and member of Speaker Paul Ryans leadership team, added a health insurance company to his portfolio.

He wasn't alone

I quite frankly did not know how heavily invested these guys are, no wonder the result of AHCA! No wonder Trumpcare! They make millions.

Aye Juni

I'm listening to Joni/Pastorious to calm my fevered mind.

You cannot youtube but~ if you know "Coyote" from Hejira, or own Hejira, put it on.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6If65D_DXS4

Coyote
Joni Mitchell

No regrets Coyote
We just come from such different sets of circumstance
I'm up all night in the studios
And you're up early on your ranch
You'll be brushing out a brood mare's tail
While the sun is ascending
And I'll just be getting home with my reel to reel

There's no comprehending
Just how close to the bone and the skin and the eyes
And the lips you can get
And still feel so alone
And still feel related
Like stations in some relay
You're not a hit and run driver, no, no
Racing away
You just picked up a hitcher
A prisoner of the white lines on the freeway

We saw a farmhouse burning down
In the middle of nowhere
In the middle of the night
And we rolled right past that tragedy
Till we turned into some road house lights
Where a local band was playing
Locals were up kicking and shaking on the floor
And the next thing I know
That Coyote's at my door
He pins me in a corner and he won't take "No!"

He drags me out on the dance floor
And we're dancing close and slow
Now he's got a woman at home
He's got another woman down the hall
He seems to want me anyway
Why'd you have to get so drunk
And lead me on that way
You just picked up a hitcher
A prisoner of the white lines of the freeway

I looked a Coyote right in the face
On the road to Baljennie near my old home town
He went running through the whisker wheat
Chasing some prize down
And a hawk was playing with him
Coyote was jumping straight up and making passes
He had those same eyes - just like yours
Under your dark glasses
Privately probing the public rooms
And peeking through keyholes in numbered doors
Where the players lick their wounds
And take their temporary lovers
And their pills and powders to get them through this passion play

No regrets, Coyote
I just get off up aways
You just picked up a hitcher
A prisoner of the white lines on the freeway

Coyote's in the coffee shop
He's staring a hole in his scrambled eggs
He picks up my scent on his fingers
While he's watching the waitresses' legs
He's too fat from the Bay of Fundy
From Appaloosas and Eagles and tides
And the air conditioned cubicles
And the carbon ribbon rides
Are spelling it out so clear
Either he's going to have to stand and fight
Or take off out of here
I tried to run away myself
To run away and wrestle with my ego
And with this flame
You put here in this Eskimo
In this hitcher
In this prisoner
Of the fine white lines
Of the white lines on the free, free way

It's incredibly surreal how numb and detached they are ... willing to harm our system and displace so many off affording healthcare.

The latest they offered was more like the large-emergency insurance that schools used to make parents pay for when I was in school and active in sports. Doesn't cover "health"... only snapped-bones, etc. No "sick" coverage.

Really, they are acting against The People, to harm and worsen life-- take away quality of life.

While???? "GOP Lawmakers buy Health Insurance STOCKS????"

That's like acting on inside-trading tips to increase their wealth... as they FORCE people to purchase their private products?

Last week, the place I purchase care from with my insurance, LOST another two health care providers.

It put ME in a care-gap right now, because they seem to be RE-booting me as though they'd never seen me before. Treat me like a new patient.

I take 2 prescriptions that my life depends on. (1 hormone replacement pill thyroid, and 1 acid reducer. I found out they sell the acid reducer over the counter--- I just splurged some money buying this. I have to DOUBLE the dosage to have prescription strength. ...

The Synthroid (thyroid hormone I need to sustain life-- NO Skipping days or I get VERY VERY sick!!)) will run out BEFORE the NEW person sees me--

On that new-patient appointment, they will then make another blood draw to determine my dosage,
which will take 3 or 4 days before the results come in,
which takes another 2 or 3 days for my pharmacy to order that hormone IN to their store -- because new business policies there NOW prevent them from shelving my hormone, planning IN Advance!! The pharmacy adds an extra step -- my pill must 'ordered' (after forwarding a script from doc electronically) to a MAIN Warehouse, who then ships the bottle individually to the store, where I go to purchase it. *shakes head*.
Insurance is a joke sometimes--- they only send "30" days of pills, which "short" each patient during calendar months of "31" days. Throws everything off-cycles... There is 'no' emergency stockpiling allowed for patients (we get hurricanes here--- if something 'happened' I would get SOOOO ILL.)

I asked the pharmacist if I could whole-price purchase a bottle and by-pass the insurance (so I can have an emergency supply). She said I could---- BUT I 'still' need a script.

So---- Question.

Should I go spend insurance dollars at the hospital emergency room, in order to get a script, so I can have the supply on-hand.

I'll have to come up with a sum to pay for a month supply out-of-pocket, instead of insurance $11 copay.

My medicare plus copay will should cover the ER visit. If I go Off-Balance in my hormones, by taking Higher Dosage (old pills), then that (robot) doctor reads that my blood levels are 'too high' and they 'reduce' the amount of hormone and wait 3 mos for another draw... which will show I am WAY WAY too low-- (in the mean time, I know from EXPERIENCE of 40 years, that I could go into a bout with 'depression' when my thyroid levels stoop that low).

The emergency room visit "makes sense" ...

The new doctor can't be seen until the 27th, then dosage script wouldn't be delivered until August.

I've been WITH that SAME Medical Provider for 3 or 4 years now!! They 'have' my medical records---
Doesn't anyone who swore their Hippocrates-Oaths to "DO NO HARM" .."think" about 'consequences' of the live patient OVER the running of a business????

Just wondering... could this be another 'nifty' trick that big-pharma insurance (Medicare part C) is playing??

It's a business trick called "a Wedge" ....

If I wind up paying out-of-pocket for my two pills (one hormone, one over-the-counter double-dosing for close to 100) --- then, I don't get the 'credit' for out-of-pocket contributions for my pharmacy donut-hole thing??

I am soooooooo below the poverty-level, and have qualified for extra-help... which Trump politics is removing from elder-reach now.

I feel like I'm being sucked into a sink-hole-- and, they will lose me, when they button the opened portal up.

I know that the Trump supporters said that there will be no one dying in the streets... ?

WAKE UP Congress!!!!! Now!! This is US!!!!

*Light to Shine Again* ....
Forward Beautiful America!

lyric It's NOT too late!!!

Thanks, Node.

I came across a very good video today, and thought that it might interest you, and some readers here.

This person is an astrologer. She has also been involved in corporate America, even mentions having worked in administration for NSA.

She covers a number of issues, one after the other. She goes over a number of presidential administrations.

If you like history lessons, this is for you.

She gives the unintended consequences of too much 'taxation' .....
She mentions Sanders.

Her strongest point is how people-themselves are continuing to working against their own interests right now.

Found myself smiling and agreeing when she said (paraphrased),

I am not a Republican, and
I am not a Democrat---

I'm a Humanitarian!

(topic) Current Geopolitical Energy- Why we are where we are now (Jean Wiley) [31:29] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9ggVqvHlSI

She recommends these books--
Suggested Reading:

* Noam Chomsky's "Requiem for the American Dream"
* G. Edward Griffin "The Creature from Jekyll Island" {how our current Central Banking system was born}
