Despite the hook line and sinker swallowed by peoole on both sides.. regardless of guilt or innocence, is it to the political advantage of both sides that this Russia investigation appeals most?

I love Rob Reich.

I especially like his wording on #10

#12

quote:
12. He said he’d create coal jobs. You believe him. He hasn’t. But here’s what he has done: Since 1965 a federal program called the Appalachian Regional Commission has spent $23 billion helping communities in coal states fund job retraining, reclaim land, and provide desperately needed social services. A.R.C. helped cut poverty rates almost in half, double the percentage of high-school graduates, and reduce infant mortality by two-thirds. Trump’s first proposed budget eliminates A.R.C.

Most people have not heard of the proposed elimination of A.R.C. It is one of the most telling. The coal miners photo ops he loved to do, then the first chance eliminate any help for those communities.

The second link I disagree with. The title alone. While I think Trump's Russia dealings take up too much of the front page, Russia's dealings in and of themselves need plenty of investigative reporting.

Broader focus I guess.
The press did the same thing all of last year. Anything Trump; many actually copped to it after the election.

The symbiotic relationship of Trump and Media is lost on people who listen to what he says not what he does

Whatever CNN are (far from perfect lol) I agree with tbis assessment. Ive been saying the same since the press started carpeting the globe with his shenanigans... and CNN above all ensured his election imo

Im not saying the Russia thing is insignificant (tho i deplore our own meddling in other countries' elections these last 70 years at least) but it is also a significant distraction from the rest of both parties' agenda.
