Can't provide health care, Puerto Rico gets shamed by your president for a budget being out of whack, thanks to a hurricane they couldn't help, but sure, let's approve ten billion dollars for a stupid wall! IP: Logged |

This will be an epic fail. No wall will keep out Drugs or Illegal Immigrants. 1000 tunnels will be ready before 10% of the Wall is constructed.IP: Logged |

Your car horn honks when you lock your car. It makes you feel more secure... Instead, all you have to do is listen.Physical barriers rarely work, especially if they are not patrolled. Another trumped up mess, isolationism. And-- Americans are paying for it. IP: Logged |

For 1/100th the cost, easy work permits with ZERO Chance of even Legal Immigration [like it is done in Middle East] will solve the problem. Any Fence proposal of Democrats or Wall proposal of Republicans is just a colossal waste of resources. Let the savings be used to stop Yellowstone Super-volcano from exploding.IP: Logged |

If you're such a whizz bang analyst of illegal alien immigration solutions in America, why don't you take your solutions to your home country and tell Indians how to solve your illegal alien immigration problems? Then...you can get back to us here in America about how to solve our illegal alien invasion. "India's Minister of State for Home Mullappally Ramachandran said last summer that almost 1.4-million illegal Bangladeshis have migrated to India over the past decade alone. Ramachandran described the illegal immigration from Bangladesh as a big problem and that the government is dealing with it. The rhetoric against illegal Bangladeshi immigration in India is strikingly similar to what right-wing American politicians say about illegal Mexican immigrants –claiming they pose a threat to the economy and very identity of the U.S. Moreover, some Indian lawmakers allege that many Bangladeshi immigrants also pose a dire threat to India through criminal activity and terrorism." Indians scholars have also expressed their outrage over unrestricted immigration from Bangladesh. Part of Amra Bangali's premise is that non-Bengalis (as well as illegal immigrants from Bangladesh) are exploiting West Bengal economically at the expense of the native peoples. The group complains that, among other things, “refugees occupy 200,000 jobs in the jute mills, leaving thousands of local Bengalis without jobs or means of survival. Millions of rupees leave Bengal annually. Nearly 70 percent of the land and homes of Kolkata are owned by non-Bengalis. Bengal's precious minerals such as iron and coal are sold to other states, and [West] Bengal is forced to purchase such basic staples as oil and sugar from outside the state.” An Indian blogger named Kanchan Gupta described the illegal immigration of Bangladeshis as a “silent invasion of India” and a “grim reality.” “Any effort, no matter how feeble, to raise the issue is met not only with fierce resistance but slander and worse. Yet, the indisputable fact is that Assam and the other states in India’s northeast, as also West Bengal and Bihar, continue to face a relentless tide of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh. This ‘silent invasion’ by millions of people over the years has been encouraged by the Congress [party] and the [Communist Party of India]... Illegal immigrants are not only encouraged by these parties to enter India they are also provided with ‘documents’ to help them settle on land that belongs to others.” Gupta specifically accuses left-wing politicians in West Bengal of encouraging illegal immigration in order to provide more (illegal) support for them during elections. “Their names are entered on voters’ lists, thus creating a vast vote-bank of aliens who legally have no right to vote in India.” he wrote. “Assam is facing external aggression and internal disturbance on account of large-scale illegal migration of Bangladeshi nationals and it becomes the duty of the Union of India to take all measures for protection of the State of Assam because it poses a threat to the integrity and security of the North-Eastern region, he declared. Gupta directly links increased illegal immigration to the ambition of corrupt Indian politicians. Gupta even accused the Communist Party in West Bengal of “disguising” illegal Bangladeshi immigrants as Indian nationals, at the expense of the latter. “[The Communist Party in West Bengal] has... instructed its cadre to facilitate [the settlement of Bangladeshis] as ‘Indian nationals’, often at the expense of genuine citizens,” he wrote. “[Indian] Bengali farmers have woken up in the morning to find Bangladeshis squatting on their land; shops and small businesses have changed hands through distress sale engineered by the party faithful; homesteads left vacant for a day have been grabbed.” Due to their poverty and Islamic faith, Gupta contends, the illegal Bangladeshi immigrants pose a grave security risk to India. “[They] live in ghettos and are prone to religious extremism, and are thus easy recruits for terrorist organizations aided and abetted by Pakistan,” he stated. “Those immigrants who move on to other States across India carry with them radical views and many serve as scouts and foot soldiers for… [terrorist outfits].” Regarding the economic impact of illegal immigration, Gupta charged: “Local wages, especially in the unskilled sector, are being undercut; farmland is being encroached upon; and urban slums are coming up at an alarming rate. In many ways, Bangladesh is turning into India’s Mexico. Tragically, the Government chooses to ignore the reality; the media pretends the reality does not exist.” http://www.ibtimes.com/indias-mexican-problem-illegal-immigration-bangladesh-213993

Starting late last year, even before President Donald Trump was sworn in, human rights organizations began noticing a trend: Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials stationed along the Mexican border were turning away asylum-seekers without giving them a chance to plead their case, as is required by international and US law. Some of the refugees were told bluntly, “Trump doesn’t want you here,” or “There’s no room; come back some other time.” http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2 017/08/double-crossed-trumps-immigration-crackdown-has-trapped-migrants-on-both-sides-of-the-border/

India solved most of the Illegal Immigration problems in 2017 after struggling for years. No CRACKPOT in India in Right Wing or Left wing wasted cash on a Wall. [Incidentally The illegals who did come caused a boom in the construction industry when the rest of the World had a crisis. Blame the bosses who got dirt cheap labor. But now all that is in strict control, hardly any problem for past several months.] Manpower was increased on the border, work permits were given and voila, the problem is under control.American CRACKPOTS who want to waste cash on a Wall that will not stop tunnels can use that cash wisely. No White Supremacist will do the hard labor of Migrant Workers. In many Sectors, Sectoral GDP will crash without Migrants. So just issue Work Permits. No Voting rights or benefits. Smart countries do that and become wealthy in short spans of time. Dubai, Qatar, Saudi, Singapore have all used this Model with great effect. IP: Logged |

Is this a bad hombre? Who is going to do this work when all the legal excellent workers and neighbours have been made illegal for no reason? This is the real-life human toll this presidency is inflicting on us. I just had a long conversation with my maid. She was apologizing for being late ... because she is suddenly short staffed. One of the ladies who has worked in my home for years is being sent back to Mexico. She has been here LEGALLY for 17 years. Every year she dutifully reports in and has her work permit renewed. This time she was told "no more" and that she had to return to Mexico. She has a 12-year-old American born son and husband who works hard as a plumber. They have never been in any kind of trouble, have never applied for any kind of government assistance, and pay their taxes.

<< Really? What law passed in India CURED the illegal alien invasion of India. Name that law and post the link. >> No Law has been passed, India just spent more resources on Border Policing, resources for Document Check using a Universal ID Process called "Aadhar" and increased State Government Checks on Local Identifications. In a couple of years, no Illegal Immigrant from Bangladesh who has moved in after 2010 can stay without the Unique ID Card. Its really simple actually, but Will Power is needed. The investment for this is ridiculously low, less than 2 billion dollars for more than 1.3 billion people. US can efficiently do this for less than 1 billion for 300 odd million people. IP: Logged |

Apart from that coming from the globalist/no borders crowd, I genuinely do not understand the outrage over this. The US government - any government - is obliged to protect its borders. It is not obliged to provide your heath care. This is basic stuff. Our vast Canadian/US border, for so long nearly unattended, was an historical marvel. Low crime, prosperity, friendly governments, common language, and similar cultures allowed for this. We don't share the shame with Mexico. Lock your doors in a bad neighborhood. It's not complicated. Protect the borders for people that it doesn't care about health-wise? That makes no sense. Of course, we also have a right to own guns, but no "right" to health care, which also makes no sense. IP: Logged |

The difference is in the racism displayed by trump, and the people who want the wall. I seem to recall him also campaigning with, "And Mexico will pay for it." So where's the outrage over ten billion dollars coming from the american tax payers, over this stupid wall? IP: Logged |
