While delivering the speech on recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, Trump was speaking with difficulty, and suddenly slurred in the last line. "God Blesh the Unished Shhhtets" is what came out. Such sudden slurring at his age is a sign of a mild stroke. Usually he speaks authoritatively, laughs and praises himself and so on. This was one weird speech.....IP: Logged |

Well, the outcome of that speech is bound to to give him a stroke in the future, just a sign of things to come I guess, just a small trailer of the movie.IP: Logged |

I read the transcript first, [usual] then, looking at a vid- what I noticed was that he was being VERY CAREFULL. This speech though, is a slap in the face to many factions, supposedly well intentioned or not.Dementia? Aye he is demented. Is this an early case of an aging brain? I think he is just getting old, and feeling pressure. IP: Logged |

He stayed glued to the teleprompter. The last few words sounded like he was trying to finish without taking another breath but I didn't notice any other slurring. A lack of fluency in some of his reading but..noIP: Logged |

As much as I don't like him, I hope that's not the case. IP: Logged |

It was really creepy the way Pence was standing behind him, as if casting some spell... Twitter was agog with the whole incident. Some are saying Trump is on Coke, some are saying it was just dentures. I hope he has a healthy 3 more years so that he gets royally crushed in the 2020 elections...IP: Logged |

Here's what a report in The Hill says: http://thehill.com/homenews/media/363716-former-mccain-aide-steve-schmidt-trumps-impairment-is-chilling Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) former presidential campaign manager, Steve Schmidt, said early Thursday that President Trump was "clearly slurring his words" during an announcement that the U.S. will recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital, adding that "the impairment is chilling." "I don’t know the cause of it, but when you combine it with [Sen.] Bob Corker’s critique that the president of the United States is unstable, that he’s dangerous, when you look at the private comments that are made by members of Congress around his stability, you look at his actions in recent weeks," said Schmidt, who is also an MSNBC contributor, on MSNBC's "Morning Joe." "The question of his fitness, of his stability, is in the air," Schmidt later added. "And it doesn’t get better when you see clear impairments." The president appeared to have an issue with his speech toward the end of the announcement. Some in the media and many on social media speculated that he wears dentures and they were falling out, affecting his speech. "#DentureDonald" was trending on Twitter for most of Wednesday into Thursday. A White House spokesman, however, attributed Trump's slurred speech to "dry throat."
