So now the Senate are going to try o ram a bill thru with a cardboard vote from a sham Senator. Good luck with that. If the Senste Repubs go asking with it it will mean more losses down the road.Tromp supported thr primary loser and even the winner lost. what price a man's soul, eh? IP: Logged |

Jones winning was actually a blessing. Silver lining and all that. If Moore had won, the Dems planned on using that in 2018. "Who is a friend of Moore?" "Who shook Moore's hand?" BLAH BLAH BLAH The way it stands now, the Republicans dodged a bullet, and Jones' seat is a sure thing for a Republican in 2020. IP: Logged |

Not one fact there. The plan to sneak thru this tax bill with an unelected, puppet Senator right after one has been duly elected.. the massive attempts to sell Moore to the voters who know him and knew better, will not be forgotten. IP: Logged |

What will not be forgotten is the economy after more deregulation and tax cuts. Those clinging to a Jones win as some sort of blue wave are going to be screaming hopelessly at the sky again in 2018 and 2020. Jones barely beat Moore, and he will be replaced with a strong Republican candidate soon enough. Watch and learn.IP: Logged |

That is wonderful communication Your candidate loses but you tell everyone to watch and learn, and that loosing was actually a good thing. So Bannon's type of politics is all about communication after all ? IP: Logged |

Of course, no one wants to lose an election. But this one was a no-win situation either way for Republicans. I think the Dems lost their talking point for 2018. Back to the drawing board!IP: Logged |

The GOP did everything they could to stack the deck for roy moore – including blatant attempts at voter suppression.
As soon as the polls opened in Alabama on Tuesday, reports came pouring in: Voters being erroneously put on "inactive" status and prevented from voting, voters given provisional ballots or told they couldn't vote, voters illegally stopped from casting a ballot due to expired identification. One Alabaman even reported that her precinct attempted to block voters who didn't remember the name of the county in which they were born.
Voter suppression usually goes hand in hand w/ gerrymandering. And the GOP's aggressive gerrymandering in alabama that allowed Moore to win in 6 out of 7 congressional districts (cd), so that doug jones carried his entire win from only ONE cd...when you consider all of the above, plus the fact that 45's "election integrity" panel is still going strong...
And you combine all of the above w/ the fact that alabama is a deep red state that hasn't had a dem senator in 20 yrs...
I wld say doug jones' victory is a decisive one regardless of the 1.5% margin
Take a bird's eye view and see how things look completely different from a higher perch

Keep dreaming. You are deluded if you think a state which voted for President Trump by 28 points isn't going to take back that seat. It's like me saying President Trump is going to win California in 2020!IP: Logged |

LOL!!
There's a perfect story for this Once a hungry fox saw a bunch of delicious looking grapes hanging from a vine. Salivating, he jumped but cldn't reach them. He tried to get at the grapes by jumping from ev possible angle, but just cldn't reach them. Finally aftr an hour of jumping, he gave up completely exhausted and even more hungry than before. As he walked away he tried to console himself by thinking "the grapes were probably sour anyway" Rationalization is a wonderful ability to have...can prevent us from losing our minds, no?

In that same state his approval rating has slipped 2 points and disapproval rating by 9 points since he took office. In fact a poll taken just before the election, showed his approval rating at 50% and prez obama's approval rating in alabama at 52%!! Delusional? Umm, not i'd say
45's "go get 'em, roy" tweets, and robo calls for alabamans to liken choosing moore to the clean, crisp, refreshing taste of diet coke...all fell flat! Guess alabamans don't like diet coke

Much as I admire Randall's positive attitude towards GOP, statistics are very much in favor of a Blue Wave in 2018. Whenever Approval ratings dip below 40%, more than 28 seats have been flipped. And this is the first election where Social Media will be leveraged to the hilt by Democrats. Each and every African American and Latino American is going to vote with a Vengeance to express their disaffection [African Americans for the insult of Tiki Torches, Latinos for the persecution of Puerto Ricans]. Not to mention 70% of White Women with daughters who are vomiting at the GOP for choosing a Pedophile Candidate. Democrats are also lined up for 100% of LGBTQ Vote, 100% of Arab American Vote and 100% of the Vote of those who have or who have friends/family with Medical Conditions that need Affordable Care. About 90% of Jewish Vote is also guaranteed. Jews in America will not live in Jersualem, and they will not forgive the "Jews will Not Replace Us" chant of Trump's Base. Trump's Gambles failed big time. We are looking at a formidable Demographic Surge, as more and more Democrats get registered and rush out to vote. The GOP has lost the narrative. Paul Ryan is chickening out. Mitch and Bannon will keep fighting, the Pedophile Support Tag will stay for decades. Save this post. 70 million votes+ for the Democratic Presidential Candidate in 2020. ------------------ Astrology Articles New Services and short readings IP: Logged |

Not sour grapes. A Moore win would have been a call to action for Dems. Sorry it rained on that parade. I don't believe these popularity polls. People care about their money, jobs, and the economy. Every day we learn more and more about the Hillary fix, corrupt Democrat FBI agents, and bias. Expect more of the red wave in 2018 after tax reform gets real in everyone's paychecks early next year and President Trump's base grows. You don't even want to know how badly the Dem presidential candidate is going to lose in 2020. IP: Logged |

Between your post and iQ's, am gonna save iQ's!! I happen to agree w/ him just a tad bit more Btw, it is the RNC endorsement of moore that has grabbed the pedophile tag, you may think that repubs have somehow dodged a bullet w/ moore's loss...not true. The "BLAH, BLAH, BLAH" is stuck so fast already, you'll still hear those chants in 2018 and beyond
Time to plead to a higher pwr and that sort of thing...

He already has been a call to action for Dems. The fact that he was backed by trump and the RNC is out there, too. It's too late to see this as a silver lining. It was a reality check. The RNC and your president, supported him. IP: Logged |

<< Reality check: The Dems could not have won in Alabama against ANY other candidate but Roy Moore. I know it, and you know it. >> I can agree with this. Luther Strange would have won 56-60% vote share. But why do you now shift the goalpost to "Alleged" Pedophile for Roy Moore when you affirmed that the Jury for conviction is the Alabama Electorate? Kindly stick to "Convicted Pedophile" for Roy Moore. Convicted by the Good People of Alabama. And if Hillary is the stain, why the palpable fear of Mueller's professional probe? One of Trump's cheer leaders wanted entire FBI to be terminated. Nincompoop judges with no experience are being appointed. This is a War on American Institutions like never before. A Few Dollars more will not get the Republic back once lost to Russian Agents and Fascism. IP: Logged |

The voters decided who they wanted. That doesn't mean he's guilty. No one is scared of Mueller. The only thing getting uncovered is how the FBI conspired to protect Hillary.IP: Logged |

What possible reason would one have to believe Strange would have won? He lost the primary..was that due to Repub preference for Moore as in the DNC manoeuvrs last year? The popularity of Tromp didn't get him the nom, nor did it get Moore the Senate. So that is TWO Repubs so far who couldn't beat Jones despite his being a scary Dem.. and two Prezidential endorsements knocked back. V encouraging, yepyepyep! IP: Logged |
