Dems are having a core strategy of making the GOP look terrible. GOP has full control, they can pass a clean DACA Bill without anything in return just like how Israel was given Jerusalem unconditionally as the Capital.
That one move would get Trump to 50% + ratings as well.
Why don't they proceed?
One single executive order in support of Colored People is not too much to ask. Already the ICE Actions are making GOP look like a Stasi or Nazi Government. Rule of Law is one thing, perception management is another. Like total nitwits, ICE is deporting Dreamers with families instead of deporting MS-13 Gangsters or illegals who have felonies, and getting good press coverage for eliminating crime.
"Trump saves Dreamers by deporting MS-13 Gangsters and passing clean DACA Bill" would have been a winning strategy but then that would make the White Supremacist Base go bonkers and hence in the interest of the deplorable Base, Trump is too worried to perform unilaterally and has to revert to weekend golfing, tweeting against FBI, tweeting against his own picks, belittling/bullying online etc. Democrats will pass a clean DACA Bill in 2020, and depending on their numbers will bring back everyone deported by ICE. A clean DACA bill requires 60 votes in the Senate. If Republicans could do that, they could do anything, including the wall.IP: Logged |

Newsflash: Obama said five separate times that DACA was unconstitutional, but he went ahead and used an unlawful Executive Order anyway. President Trump wants a permanent legislative (legal) solution, and he tripled the number of DACA recipients that Obama had, PLUS he wants to give them not only amnesty but a pathway to citizenship. Dems use DACA immigrants like they use African-Americans--as political hostages to gain votes. If they cared, they would take the deal. What they actually want is for them to be carted out of the country, so they can win seats. They care about no one and nothing but themselves. IP: Logged |

But so many good hard working Dreamers are being carted away by ICE, those whose children and wives are Americans and those who have created jobs for Americans. This is making the GOP look so bad, plus White Supremacists are publicly gloating about this.Dems have won this game lock stock and barrel by astute perception management. If GOP behaved decently and politely with Black People and Latino People, it would be impossible for Dems to hold them hostage for votes. The basic problem is with the White Racist Nature and Illiberal Views of Neo Conservatives and Evangelicals who are just unable to acknowledge/honor people other than their own as their Equal. The Privilege Demands are sickening, they think they deserve gratitude for giving some freedoms whereas it was always a Human Right and they were stealing it all those years. They cannot even give basic respect to women, so threatened they get from Independent Women who speak their mind and Feminists. Seriously, Dems owe Trump for bringing out this ugly mindset of millions of Conservatives who were hiding this hatred with immense Self-Control for decades. GOP is now offering seats to Neo-Nazi Holocaust Deniers, out of all the filth possible. I am not lying, check out the news on proud Nazi Arthur Jones about to be made GOP Nominee from Illinois. The Blue Wave will not be just a referendum on Trump's political performance but of Decent Non-Racist Americans (70% plus of the population) teaching the White Supremacist Evangelicals a lesson of many lifetimes. Its Doug Jones vs Roy Moore in each and every seat from now on till Racism is wiped out from American Conservatives and Evangelicals.
