2016: Trump beats Clinton by 20+ points
2018: Lamb(D), an ADA with no experience apparently beats Saccone(R), a career state politician by less that 1 point in a R+11 district, after being outspent 5 to 1 and facing a full court press from the WH.Here's a thought... Maybe we just are sick and tired of career politicians... IP: Logged |

For the record, Saccone ran an awful campaign. Started by painting Lamb as Pelosi's puppet, Then smeared him with being soft on drug dealers... somehow sanctuary cities came into the debate (like, are there any Hispanics in SW PA? One of the whitest places on Earth?)... And, "I was Trump before Trump"?!? What was that?With that campaign, he deserves to lose.
If I'd been running his campaign, I'd have made him focus on...
1 J.O.B.S. Jobs! Jobs! Jobs! It's the economy, stupid!
2 Values. I share our blue collar values. Our family values.
3 Promises were made to us in 2016. I want to go to Washington to see that they're kept.

And the Republicans better figure out real quick that they need to cut their losses in this one. The last thing they need going into the PA primaries (or general in the fall) is a prolonged court case disputing the election results on top of the gerrymandering cases they're already fighting in PA, not to mention the whole neverending Russia rigged the election for Trump thing...Bush vs Gore is still too fresh in too many minds. Though I am certain that a Blue Wave is intact, Saccone lost because he is a very sick, twisted and evil human being.
In 21st Century America, this ugly turd brain Saccone has the gall to allege that all Democrats hate God. Such kind of blasphemous people have no right to represent Americans.Conor Lamb is an excellent choice for Democrats, but had Republicans chosen a Centre Right Candidate who spoke on increasing job creation, improving infrastructure using proximity to the White House etc, this would have been a very easy victory for the GOP. The GOP is fast becoming their own enemy by choosing to be in one or all of three cults:
Cult of Trump
Cult of NRA
Cult of Fundamentalist Christianity The average American will always choose a moderate economy with Decent, Polite Candidates (who oppose Putin) and Humanitarian Application of Law than a roaring economy for the billionaires, where prdinary tax payers people live in fear of Putin sponsored Neo Nazis, mass shooters and trigger happy cops. This is the core message for 2018 November. Each and Every district where Trump won by less than 20% points is almost certain for Democrats now. And if Democrats get Majority, the RussiaGate Investigation will re-open and Devin Nunes will go into the Dustbin of History for not allowing FBI to stop Putin's meddling in American Politics through mobster cash and hacking. I still feel Trump wont be impeached but he is getting thrashed in 2020 if Democrats get a young Centre Left Justin Trudeaesque Candidate [to capture 90% of the 18 to 29 votes] ------------------

People may be sick and tired of Career Politicians but never are people tired of Career "Human Beings". And choosing a Career Conman versus a Career Politician is just suicidal. Trump capitulated to many demands from Democrats in the budget. He can never eliminate Obamacare and got a paltry sum for the Wall.
Top notch deal maker, could not even pay off Stormy Daniels properly.
Congratulates Putin like a Wuss for winning fixed fake election in Russia where he had to poison opponents or jail them.
America traditionally never negotiates with Terrorists but cannot recall a Republican President bending over backwards to please a petty murderous Tyrant.Something is just not adding up.
By now we should have had 100s of anti-Putin tweets from Trump, making fun of Putin's height etc. And even more strange is the Saudi Tyrant claiming Kushner is in his pocket. With Vanessa ready to carve up Trump Junior's assets and Melania waiting for 2020 to take the Lioness share, Trump really needs support of Democrats to get at least some moral victory.
