Former Navy SEAL: Waterboarding, Sleep Deprivation: Just Another Day at the Office Eli Crane 12 May 2018 The recent attacks on the president’s nominee, Gina Haspel, for the top spot in the CIA due to her involvement in the use of enhanced interrogation techniques by our DOD after 9/11 have me confused. As a member of the U.S. military, I myself had to endure many of these same techniques. For the record, I am far from the only one. This is a very controversial topic. Many senators, like former prisoner of war Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), stand in opposition to Haspel’s nomination, stating that “Her refusal to acknowledge torture’s immorality is disqualifying.” Democrats like Kamala Harris were very displeased that they could not get Gina Haspel to agree that the enhanced interrogations utilized in the past were immoral and unethical. Yet many of my fellow veterans of all branches have undergone these “torture” techniques and worse in preparation to deploy into combat zones. This criticism of Haspel by both parties has me asking: If they did this to us and we don’t have a problem with it, why are we so concerned about doing this to terrorists to extract vital intelligence to save lives?...... http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2018/05/12/former-navy-seal-waterboarding-sleep-deprivation-box-confinement-just-another-day-office/

What makes you so sure that those practice sessions are anything like what prisoners actually experience? Have you ever parachuted? If so did you train beforehand for landing? Do you think that's anything like the real thing.. or even more to the point anything like landing in a combat zone? And the caliber of people trying to negate those who do call it torture.. stellar eh?. http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/ 2018/05/kelly-sadler-mccain-dying-anyway.html?utm_source=fb&utm_medium=s3&utm_campaign=sharebutton-b IP: Logged |

In typical leftist fashion, here you are avoiding the voice of actual experience, a Navy Seal who...along with 10s or 1000s or 10,000s of other US military personnel have been waterboarded. You'd rather take the word of idiots like Diane Feinstein, Chuck Shyster Schumer or a host of military service avoiders who have never been waterboarded or ducked a bullet in their entire lives. So, if waterboarding is torture, your little Marxist Messiah, Obama is guilty as hell of torturing US Military personnel. Find him, indict him, prosecute him, convict him of the tens of thousands of counts and lock him up for the rest of his life. And, if leftist lunatics aren't willing to go down that road, then sit the hell down and shut the hell up about waterboarding being torture. IP: Logged |

I think what Senator McCain wanted to do is prevent USA from suffering the Karma of Waterboarding untrained Civilians just because they have beards and Arabic or Iranian Names.Gina Haspel is known to have no conscience and would just call it "Collateral Damage". She is unenlightened. She never suffered. MCain did. Karma punishes callous Nations rather mercilessly. Everything is not about Left Wing or Right Wing. Left Wing wicked like Mao have been far more ruthless than wimpy White Supremacists in America who get a Dopamine Rush when an innocent Black man is shot by a cop. A transparent policy and tight control of Gina Haspel's decisions by elected US officials will surely be the best way forward. Or maybe Gina could test her 7th Degree torture techniques on those who sold American interests to Russian Oligarchs or those who claimed Iraq had WMDs?

It was legal at the time, it was part of training for soldiers to go through it themselves, it's actually not torture (as in causing pain), it leaves no scars or permanent damage, and it got us intel that caught Bin Laden and prevented another 911 type of event.IP: Logged | |
