Oh did you expect an answer to that stock character assassination of the unemployed?

By the way..crickets chirp incessantly... so a poor metaphor for not getting an answer.

It's a fact. People turn in the three places they "applied" for each week and collect their pay. I'm sure some actually want a job, but to get paid not to work is too hard to resist for many. Anyway, no matter how you feel about it, that's the answer to your question.

No..its how you feel about it. Very few people prefer operating in half power whether it's wages or locomotion. Get real why don't you?

Have you even known anyone on unemployment? They "actually" start looking fot a job toward the end if benefits. I'm not faulting them for that. Just stating a fact.

Yes Randall. And anyone who has bills to pay and a home to keep going... struggles to live on unemployment for any length of time. Because most people have budgets to match their income. If they have kids, even tougher. You must have some deadbeat friends; and of course there are some such, but they are not the norm.

Most people feel like they paid into it and earned it, when in fact, their employer paid into it on their behalf. Your denial doesn't change reality.

Yes I've known people who were unemployed. Forgive me for pointing out that you don't know"most people" and you therefore obviously got that from one of your preferred sources who paint the unemployed as lazy leeches.

It's no fun trying to keep your life going on half a tank, or less in the case of tipped employees whose actual wages are minimal. For many it's a real nightmare since their homes and credit are on the line.

And sorry.. socialism is when the govt owns the means of production, not when the laws include safety nets for emergencies and hardships. There is very little actual socialism going in here.

Sorry but that's wrong!

It's Socialism when government "controls" the means of production.

It's Communism when government "owns" the means of production.

This is heartening and impressive and all that. It really is. Mammon rewards his own. And you can bet those trains will be running on time.
