I realize it was long.. did you read it? Cos if you're honest you will have noticed that your idea of the American People is often at odds with others'.

Am i suggesting breaking up? No. Don't think the author is either... tho the Tea Party and others have suggested secession at times...

But it is healthy to remember, we're not all the same and we don't all agree on a lot of things. One reason a one party government is a very bad idea and an even worse reality.

Its not news but a paper expressing someone's opinion after studying a topic. I guess it's too many words for those reduced to repeating slogans 24/7.

I think the tendency to move in search of work and housing has undermingled these groups.. it's no wonder they can't tolerate their neighbors.

The point is that many people think they speak for the American People.. despite the fact that the majority tend to disagree with them one way or another.. and it's not all the same way of disagreement. And that a consensus may never be achievable on some topics because of fundamentally different priorities.
