"...had they allowed the bulk of Kavanaughs paper trail to be examined...

Nonsense, more documents were produced for the Kavanaugh confirmation than by any other Supreme Court nominee...by far!

Oh, by the way, did you even watch the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings...or are you relying on your information from the leftist lunatic brigades?

It is not number but portion of total that is important. And no, I don't have 24/7 to watch every thing. Nor do you. However I don't rely on any particular sources but a conglomeration. Helps with perspective, unlike deciding beforehand that one source is lying all the time ( except when they say what you want to hear).

Here for instance.. carried by outlets across the spectrum.. were the 100k pages submitted along with the last minute 42k pages no one had time to read? Was it up to the Repubs to unilaterally decide what info could be seen?

I remember complaints about the ACA being too long to absorb in a week before voting... a lot less pages there!

She didn't name him in 2012, so that argument is moot.

The people Ford said were at the party have denied it ever happening. Ford doesn't even know which house it supposedly was at. Zero corroboration. Zero evidence. A thinly guised plot to delay by the Dems.

Ah! But the man doeth protest toooo much. I don`t trust a judge with that type of temper sitting in on my trial.

He said she said. Never a good place to be in for either party.

Actually, it's not he said she said. She made serious allegations, and the burden of proof is on her--not on him to prove that it never happened. The Dems don't care about Ford. They are using her as political fodder.

Even Fox are calling her credible. And, "some saay", Don Wan too.

Kavanaugh doesn't look like a judge to me either.

She came forward before he was nominated. So the Dems held her up their sleeve that doesn't reflect on her but politicians on both sides..

All this might have been avoided if the Repubs hadn't put on the steamroller act.

At jwhop

Fords first communication with her own representative was on July 6th, as mentioned more than once in the hearings. The Dems then sat on it.

For your information, Ford did not intend to "come forward". Ford asked for anonymity and privacy. Democrats sold her out to the press...who hounded her...until she gave them a story. But, your chronology is wrong. Ford did not go public before Kavanaugh was nominated by President Trump.

I never said she did. Apparently we speak different languages, or perhaps you are over invested in proving me wrong? She reached out with her story before he was
nominated. They could have thrust her forward then. The fact that she wanted to retain her privacy doesn't alter the date when she spoke up. It was the politicians who waited till the last minute. She is not a puppet.

She's not a puppet; she's a pawn. Do you play chess? To the Dems, she's expendable. She's a proverbial sacrificial lamb.

The FBI only conducts a background check, not an investigation. The four people in question have already refuted Ford's account, including her friend from the party. The other two allegations are ludicrous, but lying to the FBI will make that nonsense a felony. It's only a week delay. Nothing will change. President Trump said Ford was credible. She probably believes it. Whether anything really happened or whether her "memories" were "suggested," no evidence corroborates her story or implicates Kavanaugh in any way. President Trump is allowing the Senate to do its thing, and he respects the process.

Anyone with a heart would be concerned about ruining the life of an innocent man and his family for political reasons. But it didn't work. He didn't roll over and play dead.

His life is not being ruined. He might not get to be the 114th SC justice ever... like millions of lawyers and judges. He has not lost a child, as pointed out by one of the Parkland parents, nor been held down and smothered, in fact if he had admitted to a binge drinking teen past that he outgrew he would be like millions of other people.. but he apparently feels the need to come across as a saint.. totally negated by his performance Thursday.

Flake is not alone in requesting this investigation and honestly what terrible fate awaits if the vote is put off a week? Unless of course something nasty is lurking to be discovered?

When will you guys understand that yelling and acting scary is no longer an effective way to shut everyone up? He acted like a prime jerk whose candy was in danger of being stolen. Ruined life..ffs
