Common sense is that law agencies are trying to ensure that "criminal background checks" are conducted ---

in order to further-deter the chances that dangerous people (on watch-lists) could {unwittingly, by an innocent and unaware seller} be able to circumvent criminal background checks, and get their hands on a gun.

Doing this could further "frustrate" access to guns for terrorist activity, and make it harder for those who are possibly-unstable, and psychotically mentally ill to have an easy access to weapons (until they get better).

So, tell us mirage, what is the telephone number to call for a private background check...in case I wish to give a gun to my daughter for her protection?

Those gun grabbing demorat loons are gearing up again to abridge American's 2nd Amendment rights.

Hopefully they will get what they deserve..as they have all the other times they attempted to disarm law abiding Americans. Give them the boot out of office at the next election.

Oh, just so everyone knows, Giffords, who is the genesis of this legislation was shot with a legally purchased firearm. In fact, most shootings were done with legally purchased firearms...except for those in demorat controlled Chicago. Demorats don't seem to give a damn about those deaths...or the gang members who are doing those killings.

Since you DO care about the 'life' of your daughter and her security and safety?, it would also then be really-wise to gift her with Gun Safety 'lessons and training'--
extra qualifications on HOW to use a weapon, and be well-practiced and comfortable using it?

If you go to a weapons-training place near you, and sign her up for lessons, I would logically think that they would know 'how' you-and-she can do a legal-transfer for a (free) weapon between the two of you, and have HER legally-licensed as the proud 'owner' of said-gun.

It would also "protect HER" in case the gun was ever stolen.
She could immediately report the registered-weapon as "missing"-- If it's traced to a 'crime' then, she would have an alibi?, and it would actually help law-enforcement with 'clues' on finding the perpetrator, by narrowing down the field of information for them.

If she's planning to become a school-teacher, then, it would be an added-value to her CV/qualifications? {Bring her more money?? }}

A few days ago, I said ending private sale of firearms...which the demorat House bill does, was just the start of demorat attacks on American citizens 2nd Amendment rights.
