So, after the demorat House has been in session for only a few days, after vacationing in Hawaii and Puerto Rico...all during the government shutdown, Pee-Lousy and other no load, worthless demorats were planning to take another junket to Europe!

It seems some people think the president is entitled to give his address in person to congress. Televised from the oval office, same result without risk of hecklers such as Obama was treated to. But the speaker has to invite him to the house, and until Wilson this appearance was not a "thing".

On the other hand her trip to Europe/ Afghanistan was part of her job, as Congress has a role in the matters set to be discussed.. So he is stopping her doing her job, and telling her to fly commercial creates a security risk after exposing her itinerary..

Both were making petty statements about their power but one put the others life at risk. Nice.

I don't know who told randall that she eas taking "a hundred members of her family"? The usual off the wall mindreading, or is there a source for that?

I don't think this is an entirely partisan issue. Congress has oversight of the president in foreign relations... -and control over who visits the House. Many Repubs were equally turned off by both gestures

I don't know that it's a matter of being "concerned" or "underinformed." I'm thinking objectivity is the key. It's easier to step outside the narrative, both official and unofficial, if you are not invested in the narrative. This Covington fiasco highlights the problem.

Cat and Jwhop are both obvious examples of this. Essentially well meaning but too invested to see clearly. I think Jwhop a little less so but that's typical of men.

It's not just Pelousy. It's 7 of them plus 86 of their family members (a total of 93). And did someone say "who cares"? The taxpayers were footing the bill. I guarantee if these were Republican trips with almost 100 family members, the response would be quite different from our peanut gallery.
