Addressing a bombshell report from the Washington Post that President Donald Trump made a “promise” to an unidentified world leader that “prompted an official in the U.S. intelligence community to file a formal whistleblower complaint with the inspector general for the intelligence community,” CNN’s John Avlon said it was a sign intel officials regard the president as a “security risk.”

Speaking with hosts John Berman and Alisyn Camerota, Avlon noted that the whistleblower is a Trump appointee which makes formal complaint all that much more alarming.

“A Trump appointee thinks this is of such concern that Congress needs to know,” Berman began. “The question is: what was the promise, to whom, and what does it say about the president’s notion of intelligence?”

“What it says about the president is that the president of the United States appears to be a security risk and the intelligence community is concerned that the president can’t be trusted with classified information,” Avlon replied.

“Occasionally it goes beyond that,” he continued. “This goes back to early days of the administration when the president disclosed classified information to the Russian foreign minister, and that began a pattern of deep distrust with the intelligence community Here you also see another pattern,” Avlon explained. “You have an acting DNI, acting director of national intelligence caught in between the whistle-blower which can be confirmed by the inspector general. Where is the accountability between the branches of government? Will he be able to disclose what information is out there? Because this Washington Post report is a bombshell and more information is needed for the oversight.”

Later in the segment, host Camerota noted that Trump has a reputation for using an unsecured phone to speak with foreign officials, leading Avlon to quip, “What could possibly go wrong?” before adding, “This is against the backdrop of normalization. We’re getting used to behavior that is irresponsible bordering on dangerous or people showing outright contempt for Congress. It’s being baked in the cake and that’s a real danger and that’s why there needs to be accountability.”

President Trump's response:

“Another Fake News story out there – It never ends!” Trump tweeted. “Virtually anytime I speak on the phone to a foreign leader, I understand that there may be many people listening from various U.S. agencies, not to mention those from the other country itself. No problem!”

"He asked: “Is anybody dumb enough to believe that I would say something inappropriate with a foreign leader while on such a potentially ‘heavily populated’ call.”

Yes Mr. President, democrats and their heads up their a$$es sycophants are stupid enough to believe most anything.

About as high a crime and misdemeanor as one can imagine’: Former DOJ official muses after latest whistleblower bombshell

A former top Obama Dept. of Justice official just weighed in on The Washington Post’s latest bombshell involving an intelligence official’s whistleblower complaint against President Donald Trump, repeated actions involving a “promise” to a foreign leader, and the new development that it involves Ukraine.

The Trump White House, through the Acting Director of National Intelligence, is refusing to hand over to Congress the whistleblower complaint, despite very clear law saying he “shall” do so.

Former DOJ chief spokesperson Matthew Miller, now an MSNBC justice and security analyst, responded to a tweet detailing the Post’s latest reporting from its national security correspondent.

Miller tweeted:
“If [Trump] was promising U.S. government action in exchange for a foreign government targeting a political [opponent], that is about as high a crime and misdemeanor as one can imagine.”

http://www.rawstory.com/2019/09/ukrainian-official-confirms-bombshell-reports-clearly-trump-is-looking-for-kompromat-on-biden/
Ukrainian official confirms bombshell reports: ‘Clearly Trump is looking for kompromat on Biden’

Ukraine’s government is waiting for the green light from President Donald Trump to investigate business dealings by Joe Biden’s son with one of the country’s energy companies.
Anton Geraschenko, a senior adviser to the country’s interior minister, said there currently was no investigation under way, but he said the government would “look into it” as soon as the Trump administration officially asked for one, reported The Daily Beast.
Trump’s conversations with a foreign leader were reportedly the subject of a whistleblower complaint that originated in the intelligence community, and there has been widespread speculation the calls involved Ukraine’s president and assurances of U.S. aid in exchange for damaging information about Biden.
“Clearly,” Geraschenko told The Daily Beast, “Trump is now looking for kompromat to discredit his opponent Biden, to take revenge for his friend Paul Manafort, who is serving seven years in prison.”
The Ukrainian government adviser made clear the country would be willing to comply with Trump’s request once it was made.
“We do not investigate Biden in Ukraine, since we have not received a single official request to do so,” Geraschenko said.

Trump and his attorney Rudy Giuliani are interested in finding out more details about Hunter Biden’s connection with the Ukrainian natural-gas company Burisma Holdings.
Geraschenko spoke to The Daily Beast before reports suggested the whistleblower complaint involved Ukraine’s president, but he confirmed his statements again in a follow-up phone call Friday.
Ukraine is ready to investigate the connections Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden had with the Ukrainian natural-gas company Burisma Holdings, according to Anton Geraschenko, a senior adviser to the country’s interior minister who would oversee such an inquiry.
Trump spoke to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on July 25, the day after special counsel Robert Mueller testified in Congress about Russian election interference.
The White House reportedly considered blocking $250 million in support for Ukraine’s military at the end of August, but that funding was released, and even increased, Sept. 12.
Trump reportedly offered to release that funding if Ukraine agreed to dig into Hunter Biden’s dealings in the country, and Geraschenko welcomed that aid in the country’s territorial dispute with Russia.
“For now, we would like America to support us more, and not only with money but also with the newest weapons in our war against the aggressor, the Russian Federation,” Geraschenko told The Daily Beast. “We want a status as NATO’s special partner, allowing us to buy any weapons in the U.S., including the newest anti-aircraft rockets to defend our country in case Russia decides to attack from the air. Our technology is more than 40 years old.” http://www.rawstory.com/2019/09/game-changer-morning-joe-panel-nails-giulianis-confessional-outburst-as-evidence-for-trump-impeachment/
Game changer’: Morning Joe panel nails Giuliani’s confessional outburst as evidence for Trump impeachment

Panelists on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” agreed President Donald Trump’s phone call to Ukraine’s president should be a “game changer” — and was clearly “impeachable.”
The July 25 call appears to have triggered a complaint from a whistleblower, after the president allegedly offered military and financial aid to Ukraine in exchange for pursuing an investigation into Joe Biden’s son doing business there.
It does feel like a moment in time,” said MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch. “We’ve sat on this set after so many Trump’s snafus and this is it — this is a game changer. If the Democrats can’t smell this. I’ve been going all along, step away from impeachment because when it’s a process thing, when it’s campaign finance, this is the big one. If this is the case, this is the Super Bowl, and the Democrats need to pounce aggressively.”
Co-host Mika Brzezinski said details about the call likely would be revealed, and soon, and host Joe Scarborough said even Republicans — including the Senate majority leader, who finally caved on an election security bill — seemed to understand these allegations were explosive.
I found it very telling that Mitch McConnell caved yesterday,” Scarborough said, “very telling that after doing Vladimir Putin’s bidding over the past several years, and refusing to listen to all the intel chiefs that Donald Trump appointed to protect American democracy against what they call an imminent threat, that Mitch McConnell chose yesterday, as this story was exploding about other foreign interference in American democracy, that’s when he finally caved and stopped worrying about Vladimir Putin and started worrying about protecting and defending American democracy.”
Scarborough called the allegations against Trump impeachable, and former Bush White House aide Elise Jordan said they obviously called for impeachment.

"About as high a crime and misdemeanor as one can imagine’"

Oh do please knock off the horseshiite.

This isn't about President Trump.
This is about protecting Joe 'Plugs' O'Biden from charges of official corruption...and Obama as an accessory.

A Ukrainian prosecutor was investigating Biden's son, Hunter in Ukraine in, I believe, 2016. The charges involved corrupt natural gas deals by a Ukrainian businessman whom Hunter Biden worked for.

VP Biden gave an ultimatum to the Ukrainian government, fire the prosecutor who's investigating my son or $1 Billion in aid to Ukraine would be withheld.

The businessman was convicted but the investigation of Hunter Biden was killed.

All this horseshiite is to protect the viability of 'Plugs' O'Biden in his quest for the presidency.

I expect that people who post inflammatory material would at least try to find out what it's all about.

You never do.

Lastly, President Trump is in charge of foreign relations for the United States. Trump can make any kind of deal he deems in the best interests of the United States. Such deals are only subject...some times..to approval of the US Congress.

Deep State deflecting Biden's Ukraine scandal with whistleblower complaint
Thomas Lifson

Even though the details are classified, Deep State intelligence community operatives are leaking enough that we can assess with a reasonable degree of confidence that the latest scandal being peddled by Adam Schiff (among others) is as phony as the Russia conspiracy theory he pushed until the Mueller/Weissmann report turned out to be a dry hole. The favorite outlet for Deep Staters, the Washington Post, reveals that it is all about Ukraine:.....

"Prosecutor was leading a wide-ranging corruption probe into the natural gas firm Burisma Holdings that employed Biden's younger son, Hunter, as a board member."

U.S. banking records show Hunter Biden's American-based firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC, received regular transfers into one of its accounts — usually more than $166,000 a month — from Burisma from spring 2014 through fall 2015, during a period when Vice President Biden was the main U.S. official dealing with Ukraine and its tense relations with Russia.

The general prosecutor's official file for the Burisma probe — shared with me by senior Ukrainian officials — shows prosecutors identified Hunter Biden, business partner Devon Archer and their firm, Rosemont Seneca, as potential recipients of money...

....Biden had publicly boasted about his threat to cut off U.S. funds to Ukraine:

Two years after leaving office, Joe Biden couldn't resist the temptation last year to brag to an audience of foreign policy specialists about the time as vice president that he strong-armed Ukraine into firing its top prosecutor.

In his own words, with video cameras rolling, Biden described how he threatened Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in March 2016 that the Obama administration would pull $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees, sending the former Soviet republic toward insolvency, if it didn't immediately fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

"I said, 'You're not getting the billion.' I'm going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: 'I'm leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you're not getting the money,'" Biden recalled telling Poroshenko.

"Well, son of a b----, he got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time," Biden told the Council on Foreign Relations event, insisting that President Obama was in on the threat.
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2019/09/deep_state_deflecting_bidens_ukraine_scandal_with_whistleblower_complaint_.html

Not even a smidgen of corruption in the Obama Administration.

This is a can of worms demorats should not have popped the top on.

Look out Joe 'Plugs' Biden.
Look out Hunter Biden
Look out DNC.

......According to interviews with more than a dozen Ukrainian and U.S. officials, Ukraine’s government under recently departed President Petro Poroshenko and, now, Zelensky has been trying since summer 2018 to hand over evidence about the conduct of Americans they believe might be involved in violations of U.S. law during the Obama years.

The Ukrainians say their efforts to get their allegations to U.S. authorities were thwarted first by the U.S. embassy in Kiev, which failed to issue timely visas allowing them to visit America.

Then the Ukrainians hired a former U.S. attorney — not Giuliani — to hand-deliver the evidence of wrongdoing to the U.S. Attorney's Office in New York, but the federal prosecutors never responded.

The U.S. attorney, a respected American, confirmed the Ukrainians’ story to me. The allegations that Ukrainian officials wanted to pass on involved both efforts by the Democratic National Committee to pressure Ukraine to meddle in the 2016 U.S. election as well as Joe Biden’s son’s effort to make money in Ukraine while the former vice president managed U.S.-Ukraine relations, the retired U.S. attorney told me.............

......And it’s too bad a shallow media effort has failed to capture the whole story and tell it to the American public in its entirety.

It’s almost as though the lessons of the now debunked Russia-Trump collusion narrative never really sunk in for some reporters. And that is a loss for the American public. The continuing folly was evidenced when much attention was given Friday to Hillary Clinton’s tweet suggesting Trump’s contact with Zelensky amounted to an effort to solicit a foreign power to interfere in the next election....

...And if anyone is to have high moral ground on foreign interference in elections, Clinton can’t be first in line. Her campaign lawyers caused Christopher Steele, a British foreign national desperate to defeat to Trump, to be hired to solicit unverified allegations from Russians about Trump as part of an opposition research project and then went to the FBI to trump up an investigation on Trump. And her party leaders, the Democratic National Committee, asked the Ukraine embassy to also try to dig up dirt on Trump. That’s not a record worthy of throwing the first punch on this story....

http://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/462422-missing-piec e-to-the-ukraine-puzzle-state-departments-overture-to-rudy

And all the while, it was Hillary The Corrupt and the DNC who solicited meddling in the 2016 election with both Russia and Ukraine. Not Trump!

One more thing. Stop using the word 'whistleblower' when referring to the a$$ clown who kicked this nonsense off. He..or she, does not meet the statutory definition of a 'whistleblower'.

Whistleblower Complaint Now Looks Like Democrat Effort to Protect Joe Biden from Investigation…

The mysterious “whistleblower” case now looks like a coordinated Democrat effort to block any investigation of presidential candidate Joe Biden for corrupt pressure on Ukraine to drop the investigation of Burisma, an energy company operating in the country, on which his son Hunter Biden was a board member.......

Caught: Trump Full Treason Exposed by Intel Whistleblower, this is not a joke

The whistleblowing process Congress set up for the intelligence community has been used up to 20 times a year, according to official reports. But never like the Trump complaint.

The facts show not only criminal acts by Trump but that Barr as Attorney General and others are now fully engaged in a criminal coverup that involves Attorney General Barr in an act of treason against the United States if allegations, which have already been judged both of substance and well documented, move toward the required judicial process.
An intelligence whistleblower, acting within the law, has brought before congress evidence that President Trump made an “offer of service” to a foreign leader, specifically to act as an agent or representative of said government, misusing his power as Commander in Chief to employ the armed forces of the United States for personal gain. This is how it began:

A second accusation says that Trump withheld $250m in aid to Ukraine because they refused to fake evidence Trump could use to get Joseph Biden to drop out of the presidential race. The Washington Post carries this story:

To be clear, this does not involve a diplomatic negotiation involving a potential agreement between the US and a foreign nation but rather a personal offer that goes way beyond violating the emoluments clause of the Constitution.

Of course, Donald is fighting back, using the tricks he learned from his very very very close friend, mob boss Roy Cohn (left in photo, Trump on right “in drag”)

It involves not just emoluments, payments from a foreign leader, but also the “rental” of the powers of the American presidency.

We are told the report involves Trump and the Ukraine, but our sources say it is Saudi Arabia.

Max Boot of the Washington Post reports the following:

Chiropractors Baffled: Simple Stretch Relieves Years of Back Pain (Watch)

Saudis trying to drag US into an attack in Iran – Veterans Today | Military Foreign Affairs Policy Journal for Clandestine Services

45 World Maps That Reveal Amazing Facts

On Wednesday, The Post reported that an intelligence community whistleblower had lodged a report alleging that Trump had made an improper “promise” to a foreign leader. This complaint was considered so troubling by a Trump-appointed inspector general that he asked that the acting director of national intelligence, Joseph Maguire, immediately forward the complaint to Congress, but Maguire refused to do so, reportedly on the advice of William Barr’s Justice Department. Then on Thursday night, The Post reported that the complaint centers on Ukraine.

We don’t know yet precisely what this means. But the most likely explanation is that this is a reference to a July 25 call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

It is no secret that Trump and his attorney, Rudolph Giuliani, have been pressuring Ukraine to open a corruption investigation into Democratic front-runner Joe Biden. Their contention is that Biden, as vice president, encouraged the firing of Ukraine’s top prosecutor because he was probing a company that employed Biden’s son. Numerous journalists have shown that this accusation is bogus. The prosecutor was notoriously lax in pursuing corruption cases. So rather than fomenting corruption, Biden was fighting it. Trump and Giuliani have been acting in a highly improper fashion to induce a foreign government to lie on Trump’s behalf.

How improper? On Sept. 5, The Post’s editorial page reported that Trump had put a hold on $250 million in U.S. military aid to Ukraine to force Zelensky to launch a probe of Biden. Several congressional committees are now investigating this explosive accusation for which there is considerable circumstantial evidence.

Kiev’s own readout of the call between Zelensky and Trump says that Trump urged Ukraine to “complete investigation of corruption cases, which inhibited the interaction between Ukraine and the USA.”

Vice President Pence, who recently met with Zelensky, was asked by a reporter whether they discussed Biden and whether he could offer assurances that the hold-up of funds to Ukraine “has absolutely nothing to do with efforts … to dig up dirt on the Biden family.” Pence denied that Biden was discussed, but pointedly would not deny that the administration had stopped the funds to spur an investigation.

Oddly enough, just as Congress began looking into these allegations last week, the White House finally released its hold on the $250 million for Ukraine.

Editor’s note: What we are told; that this wasn’t only the deal to blackmail Zelensky to fake evidence on Biden but something far worse. Our sources say Trump cut a deal with a foreign leader (Saudi Arabia) to attack Iran based on personal financial dealings and a guarantee of Saudi Arabia financing Trump’s re-election campaign.

If there is any substance to the official allegations now before congress, the continuation of the Trump/Pence administration threatens American sovereignty as outlined specifically in the constitution. There is no legal protection against arrest in such a case.

The charge being discussed here is treason. The punishment, execution.

oh yes thank you for the complement.. you just substantiated everything I said.
in late 2017 when most of the documents were finally released about the kennedy assassination, it was revealed that the CIA coined the term conspiracy theorist. they disseminated this to the main stream media and told them to use this term to ridicule(you are quite adept at ridicule) those who did not accept the false explanation given by the warren commission about JFKs assassination. so by labelling me such.. you are validating that I am telling the truth about the lies in this situation.

Veterans Today
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Veterans Today is a website known for disseminating conspiracy theories and fake news. It describes itself as a "military veterans and foreign affairs journal", but the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) had said "the anti-Israel bent on VT can slide pretty quickly into overt anti-Semitism."[1] It is also accused of Russian propaganda.

History[edit]

Veterans Today was founded in 2003 "in opposition to the invasion of Iraq." According to Politico, the site "soon began publishing wild conspiracy theories" and, according to Politico, "has consistently published articles that push the Kremlin party line".[2] It has ties with the Iranian state-backed Press TV, and has had ties with Russia's New Eastern Outlook website since 2013, though according to The Daily Beast, the latter connection ended in 2018. The website is formally partnered with several other Russian institutions.[2][3] According to University of Washington professor Kate Starbird, Veterans Today is a fake news site actively pushing the Kremlin party line.[2] The New Hampshire Union Leader says that the website mixes "advice for veterans on how to find jobs and pay medical bills" with conspiracy theories and Russian propaganda.[4] Its editorial board includes a former head of Pakistan's intelligence services.[2]

It has published false headlines such as, "Pravda: Ukraine indignant at 80% of Jews in power" and "Water Terrorism by India to Overawe Pakistan."[2] A joint article with Press TV, written by Jim Fetzer, was entitled: "Did Mossad death squads slaughter American children at Sandy Hook?"[5] According to Veterans Today, Israel was behind the 9/11 attacks in collaboration with the United States and Julian Assange of WikiLeaks is controlled by the Israeli government.[1]

In 2012, the website's chairman, Gordon Duff, told an interviewer that "about 30% of what's written on Veterans Today, is patently false. About 40% of what I write, is at least purposely, partially false, because if I didn't write false information I wouldn't be alive".[2]

Duff spoke at a conference organized by the Syrian government Counterterrorism and Religious Extremism Conference held in Syria on November 30 and December 1, 2014. The four-man Veterans Today delegation (eight Americans in all were present), also included managing editor Jim Dean.[6] During his speech, he indicated his delegation from Veterans Today wanted to try to establish a method of communication that will allow Syria and other nations in the area to understand Israel’s control of the U.S., the control of the U.S. by organized crime, and how the U.S. government is subservient to a worldwide criminal organization.[7]

Now, all we need from veterans today is an allegation that earth has been invaded and conquered and all world leaders are shape shifting reptilian space aliens.

I know of at least one person who would believe that.

Blocked by Google on orders from Attorney General Barr: “NEO, The End of the Trump Presidency is Here

Exactly as with Watergate, it is a simple thing. Trump, aided by Rudy Giuliani, his personal lawyer and US Attorney General Robert Barr, a former CIA “fixer,” have, according to some news sources including the Wall Street Journal and Washington Post, been caught bribing and blackmailing a foreign leader in something miles beyond RussiaGate.

Google issued a block on this article (which will fail miserably) upon a NSL issued by US Attorney General Barr, mentioned in this article as a potential co-conspirator in high crimes and misdemeanors

From the Daily Beast:

“President Trump asked Ukraine’s president to investigate Hunter Biden, son of 2020 Democratic candidate Joe Biden, eight separate times during one phone call this summer, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

According to the Journal’s sources, Trump told President Volodymyr Zelensky in that July phone call to work with the president’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani on probing the former vice president over allegations he shielded from investigation a Ukrainian gas company with ties to his son.

“Mr. Trump didn’t mention a provision of foreign aid to Ukraine on the call, said this person, who didn’t believe Mr. Trump offered the Ukrainian president any quid-pro-quo for his cooperation on an investigation,” the Journal added.

Trump’s interactions with the Ukrainian president have come under scrutiny following news of a whistleblower’s complaint about the president’s communications with a foreign leader and a “promise” Trump allegedly made in those conversations.”

What puts the icing on the cake, as it were, is that directly tied to this, Trump held up a $260 million military aid package which was eventually released after the blackmail attempt came to light. Also, from the Daily Beast:

“A source with direct knowledge of the situation says that in recent months he has informally advised Trump on how to approach Zelensky. That advice came around the time rumors started flying that the president was withholding aid to the Ukrainian government until he received assurances the Biden investigation would move forward.

“He’s a question mark. There are a lot of good things, but there are these people he surrounds himself with,” Giuliani said of Zelensky in a conversation with The Daily Beast in late July. “He’s been there too short a period of time to know how he’s going to act. But I think there are very good signs and I have an open mind.”

On Thursday evening, when asked about the latest Ukraine revelation and if it was related to his well-publicized efforts, Giuliani simply said, “Don’t know and don’t care. Let them [the Democrats] knock themselves out.” Asked whether anybody had been in touch with him yet about the whistleblower complaint, the Trump attorney responded, “No, it’s total bull[**** ].” He then claimed that “Biden did bribery, and you don’t cover it. I did my job as a good lawyer [for President Trump] and Corrupt Media gets excited.”

The Trump administration ultimately did sign off on a major military aid package, releasing it on Sept. 12. Zelensky spoke to Trump in late July. The readout of that call from the Ukrainian camp reportedly noted that Trump was focused on Ukraine’s ability to ‘complete investigations into corruption cases that have hampered Ukraine-US cooperation.’”

This is where it ties up neatly, 8 requests to investigate the son of a political rival and the blackmail, holding up funds based on blackmail which has been officially acknowledged by the Ukrainian government.

Then it gets deeper, particularly if you watch the press. We have two platforms, the Wall Street Journal and Washington Post reporting the story. Behind it all, where the story gained official standing as a criminal investigation against Trump is the law that protects federal “whistleblowers” who bring evidence of wrongdoing, in this case by President Trump.

That evidence is, we are told and it could be nothing else, an intelligence intercept of conversations either directly with Trump and Zelensky or, and these are not protected in any way, multiple confirming intercepts that cover not only Zelensky discussing the blackmail but others, which could well include Giuliani and Barr, discussing criminal aspects of the conspiracy.

Where it stands, the White House is blocking congress from evidence that has already been judged substantive in establishing the guilt of Trump and many of those around him in crimes well beyond Watergate.

The whistleblower materials have already been verified by intelligence officials at the White House and congress has been informed that they are considered valid and of vital interest to national security, that Donald Trump is considered by the National Security Council, a “threat against the United States.”

While we see some media outlets reporting some parts of the story, others are censoring it entirely and others still, like the “Trump hating” New York Times, simply accepting Trump’s denials and accusations as proof the charges are false.

You see, Trump has said the individual charging him is a known operative of the opposition party. Problem here, Trump has no idea who this individual is, he simply reached into his bag of tricks learned from mentor Roy Cohn, the infamous mob boss that Trump spent his early years “clubbing” with, always deny, always attack, this was the Roy Cohn way.

Cohn’s vindictive and combative ways aided Trump but Cohn himself succumbed to liver cancer as a complication of AIDS in 1986, leaving Trump to eventually find, years later, Rudy Giuliani as a legal guide, but never anyone to replace Cohn, his lifelong closest associate.

We are looking at this one incident because it represents one leak, one highly documented leak, that exposes the way Trump has done business since day one and that blackmail and bribery have been a part of White House day to day operations since Trump moved in and, according to our sources, years before.

Let us look at the situation in the Persian Gulf. The US has just sent military units to “protect” Saudi Arabia, the 4th largest military on earth, from Iran, a nation with a handful of aircraft.

The problem here, Trump and his family have hundreds of millions in overt and even more in covert private business deals with Saudi Arabia, including deals for hotels, night clubs and even “adult relaxation” facilities, a term we take to mean “brothels” which are invariably tied to human trafficking.

Let us remember that on two occasions, Trump attacked Syria based on reports he received from his daughter who read them on social media. On both occasions, Syrian air defenses handily defeated American attacks, a huge humiliation for the Pentagon.

The result of this, something not reported, is that the Pentagon is unwilling to accept orders from Trump, orders continually issued, then rescinded then reissued, the altered then forgotten.

Military leaders speak of nothing else, “Trump has advanced dementia.”

Then we have the recent revelations by former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. From Politico:

“Former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Wednesday that Israeli officials “played” President Donald Trump in their conversations with him, warning that a “healthy amount of skepticism” is needed in dealings with Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

The comments came during a panel discussion at Harvard University in which Tillerson, who was fired by the president last year, touched on a variety of themes from his tenure, including Iran, his hiring freeze at the State Department and the unpredictable nature of Israel’s longest-serving prime minister, Netanyahu.

‘They did that with the president on a couple of occasions, to persuade him that ‘We’re the good guys, they’re the bad guys,’’ Tillerson said, according to the Harvard Gazette. “We later exposed it to the president so he understood, ‘You’ve been played.’”

He cautioned that skepticism is necessary when dealing with Netanyahu, whom Tillerson called ‘a bit Machiavellian.’”

In fact, every action Trump has been involved in starting with breaking the nuclear treaty with Iran which has virtually destroyed NATO is based on Trump being “played” by Netanyahu.

Inside sources also say Netanyahu had a hand in Trump backing out of the INF treaty as well, putting the US on a war footing with Russia and in an arms race that has potentially disastrous consequences, particularly since Russia’s weapons tend to work better than America’s, a fact the Pentagon has not been able to keep from the public. From Tass:

“Missile defense systems all over the world sometimes fail to demonstrate the intended result, US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said, when asked by a reporter why Saudi troops, armed with US-made Patriot missile defense systems, failed to repel the recent drone attack on the kingdom’s oil facilities.

‘We’ve seen air defense systems all around the world have mixed success,’ the Department of State press service quoted Pompeo as saying upon his arrival to Jeddah. ‘Some of the finest in the world don’t always pick things up. We want to work to make sure that infrastructure and resources are put in place such that attacks like this would be less successful than this one appears to have been.’

The US top diplomat lashed out at rumors that the attack on Saudi Aramco oil facilities was a result of US withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran’s nuclear program.”

One must remember, Israel is protected by a lightly modified American system, far less costly and elaborate than the one that failed in Saudi Arabia. The same thing is true for Saudi Arabia and for much of Western Europe except nations like Turkey that use Russian systems.

Others are likely to follow as well. And we must remember, Iran has a Russian air defense system.

Conclusion

Washington faces an analog of Watergate with these exceptions, the media giants that took on Nixon and his gang no longer exist. Washington is a city of “small men,” not just Trump, Barr and Giuliani, but opposition as well.

Few alive today remember Senator Sam Ervin. The real question here isn’t so much the those we have thus stated, that the military no longer finds Trump credible and has taken on presidential power, the worst kept secret imaginable, that America as we know it ended some time ago.

There are so many others. I mention Senator Ervin but let us read his opening address from 1973 courtesy of Rolling Stone:

“A Black Cloud of Distrust, May 17th, 1973.

We are beginning these hearings today in an atmosphere of utmost gravity. The questions, that have been raised in the wake of the June 17th break-in, strike at the very undergirding of our democracy. If the many allegations made to this date are true, then the burglars who broke into the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee at the Watergate were in effect breaking into the home of every citizen of the United States.

If these allegations prove to be true, what they were seeking to steal was not the jewels, money or other property of American citizens, but something much more valuable—their most precious heritage, the right to vote in a free election. Since that day, a mood of incredulity has prevailed among our populace, and it is the constitutional duty of this committee to allay the fears being expressed by the citizenry, and to establish the factual bases upon which these fears have been founded.

The Founding Fathers, having participated in the struggle against arbitrary power, comprehended some eternal truths respecting men and government. They knew that those who are entrusted with power are susceptible to the disease of tyrants, which George Washington rightly described as “love of power and the proneness to abuse it.” For that reason, they realized that the power of public officers should be defined by laws which they, as well as the people, are obligated to obey.

The Constitution, later adopted amendments and, more specifically, statutory law provide that the electoral processes shall be conducted by the people, outside the confines of the formal branches of government, and through a political process that must operate under the strictures of law and ethical guidelines, but independent of the overwhelming power of the government itself. Only then can we be sure that each electoral process cannot be made to serve as the mere handmaiden of a particular Administration in power.”

Remember, this was 1973. The Vietnam war was nearly ended, America has stopped what had seemed an endless war, one brought to a close by combat veterans, not “activists” or “leftists.”

Nixon, as with Trump, both acolytes of Roy Cohn, was seen as a sinister individual, a pathological liar, malevolent and “unclean.”

His destruction was seen as a victory for justice at the hands of men who fought and won World War II, leaders that simply don’t exist anymore, leading an America that fewer and fewer Americans have faith in.

Trump didn’t cause this. Did it start with 9/11, or the Kennedy killings or the fake terror wars?

What is left is simple, Trump is now a placeholder, not a president, powerless, clownish, a buffoon and embarrassment. Opposing him, to a large extent, are those who will never be able to find what we used to call “the American spirit.”

It could have been that Trump might well have been the cure to the disease of engineered cynicism that infects America. Instead, the president who promised to “empty the swamp” became, as so easily predicted, the worst of its creatures.

Gordon Duff is a Marine combat veteran of the Vietnam War that has worked on veterans and POW issues for decades and consulted with governments challenged by security issues. He’s a senior editor and chairman of the board of Veterans Today, especially for the online magazine “New Eastern Outlook

When you get the 'Tin Foil Hat' I sent you, better put it on and wear it...before your brain is corrupted beyond salvage.

Got a good laugh though.
veterans today apparently doesn't know that Attorney General Barr has no authority to tell Google to take down any content...that isn't national security related or 'secret'. So, they're totally unhinged dopes.

But, what's your excuse for posting such nonsense?

Trump's lawyer Rudy Guiliani just said to Hannity that it was Mike Pompeo who asked him to talk to Ukraine for investigating the Bidens.

Earlier he said on CNN that he went on his own.

And Mitch says he does not know why trump delayed the aid to Ukraine.

Looks like by end of this week, several White House Staff and GOP big wigs will try to throw each other under the bus.

The whistleblower didn't see or hear anything. It was by second or third person. Dems are going to conduct an impeachment inquiry before even seeing the complaint? That shows how insane they are. The call transcript will be a big fat nothing burger. The Dems have guaranteed that they will lose a lot of seats next year.
