People who want to stay home can still stay home. And people who want to support local businesses should be able to. ALL businesses are essential businesses to those who own them and who depend on them to support their families. IP: Logged |

Georgia, the first of many states to start opening up for business. About time for an Outlaw Ribeye at Longhorn Steak House!

We closed the country down to keep hospitals from being overrun, and because we didn’t have enough ventilators. Mission accomplished. I support those who wish to still shelter in place, those who decide to open up their businesses, those who patronize those businesses, and those who may decide not to open their businesses at this time.IP: Logged |

quote: From the nationalreview: Coronavirus Kills More Americans in One Month Than the Flu Kills in One Year Although there is still much we don’t know about the coronavirus, we know enough to say that it is far more dangerous and deadly than the flu. It took twelve months and 61 million infections for the H1N1 swine flu to kill 12,500 Americans in 2009–10. The Centers for Disease Control estimated that the seasonal flu killed 34,200 Americans during the 2018–19 flu season. In 2019, car crashes killed 38,800 Americans. As for the new coronavirus? On March 20, the death toll in the United States was 225. By April 20, the coronavirus had killed more than 42,000Americans.

These numbers are overstated. Hospitals get funding for each death attributed to COVID-19.IP: Logged |

Trump says he disagrees with the Governor of Georgia? This after he was tweeting to "liberate" a few States run by Democratic governors, on Friday. IP: Logged |

This will be an interesting Case Study for the Whole World. If COVID-19 Cases do not spike up in May end after Georgia reopens, then the rest of the World will follow the Georgia Model.IP: Logged |

Forked tongue don is playing politics with a deadly virus. Naughty dem. Governors are over reaching, need liberated but Georgia doesn't.. The don thinks they shouldn't be liberating that state. Remember, this isnt partisan but rather deadly .------------------ Partial truth~the seeds of wisdom~can be found in many places...The seeds of wisdom are contained in all scriptures ever written… especially in art, music, and poetry and, above all, in Nature.

I never said hospitals get paid for people dying. I said hospitals receive funding for those who die if COVID-19 is the cause.IP: Logged |

If the purpose is to support the people who depend on the income of their businesses, why not just send them money to sustain until they can safely reopen?

You need to listen more closely to what the President actually says...instead of getting your news from leftist lunatic news sites. Trump does not disagree with Governor Kemp opening up businesses in Georgia. President Trump disagrees with opening up barber shops, hair salons and tattoo parlors..and other businesses requiring close contact..as in touching. IP: Logged |

Maybe he could have been clearer on that with this tweets about liberating States then. I didn't see anything about safely opening a few more stores, and practicing social distancing at the movies. I saw him wanting entire States to open, rallying his base as usual. IP: Logged |

I didn't mean at state/government scale. Just people. Instead of spending $15 on a steak dinner, you give it to the owner, or give him $10, enough for him to cover his cost and still make a profit and you have enough to still buy yourself a healthy meal (even if it's not as fancy). My point is, preserving the income of people doesn't have to go hand in hand with violating health measures. You have to be creative and go the extra mile to find how to make it work but it's possible, if supporting those people is your purpose, your true project, then it has nothing to do with questioning lockdown and planning to go out again.
