Emissions are down, no air travel, and it only cost us 30 million jobs and $6 trillion. Welcome to the New Green Deal. Fail. Special thanks to Jesse Waters for this brilliant comparison.

Because of a virus that your president didn't contain. 50,000 deaths now?

President Trump blocked immigration, and the Dems called him racist. Now they say he wasn’t racist soon enough?

For the record, no idea who that bloke is.
But you're not being fair as the purpose of lockdown wasn't to cleanse the air, it's just a teensy bit of happy news in the middle of all the collateral shite you mentioned.
No one put green concerns over America's precious green, what was done was done in relation to the virus only.
Can't blame people for trying to find a silver lining, can you?

I think he meant that you implied the borders had not been closed soon enough (to contain the virus), and bounced back on that to try to redeem the racist border-closing view on immigration.
I'm not explaining well because I'm still HIGHLY disturbed by the implicit comparison between immigrants and a lethal virus.
This is serious racist stuff Randall, I'm all for politically incorrect humour, but there's nothing funny about the potus' views and actions 🤮

Oh, thank you.

I wasn't even thinking about borders, and I don't know anyone who thinks this immigration ban is a good thing.

I was, perhaps, convoluting two subjects. You said President Trump didn’t act fast enough. More simply put, on January 31, President Trump closed down flights from China. But Pelosi said everything was fine and encouraged people to continue group outings in Chinatown. Biden called President Trump a xenophobe, and Dems called him a racist—meaning that he himself wouldn’t have done it, and neither would the Dems. So, if your candidate were in charge we would have a much higher death toll. Yet the Dems want to now say President Trump didn’t stop flights to China soon enough. The immigration block should be obvious. Supply and demand. Once again, Dems fall back on the same racist name calling. They never learn.

What’s racist about preventing people from a country ravaged by a highly contagious virus from entering our country? And viruses are frequently named by where they originated. Also, what’s racist about temporarily halting immigration into a country that is hemorrhaging jobs?

Keeping the virus from entering the country? It's already here. That's why we've been sheltering in place, but now it's fine to open things up and take our chances? Which is it? A deadly virus, or we're just fine?

It is racist to liken that, which isn't, to closing the borders to immigrants for xenophobic reasons which has been an ongoing talk in your country.
Immigrants aren't a virus, it's important not to merge the current closing of the borders by most countries (logical) to the potus' views (racist, or rather something else, as contrary to common practice "poor" isn't a race...).
Your first comment was ambiguous, it's good you clarified.

Teasel, just about your entire party now agrees that stopping travel from China was the right thing to do. Are you now saying that it wasn’t? Biden would have let them all in. Yes, we know the virus was already here. It was about stopping people who were exposed increasing our rate of infection. I shouldn’t even have to say that to you.

"Keeping the virus from entering the country? It's already here."

How did the coronavirus get 'here'?
Where did it come from?

Trump was briefed in Dec 2019 about the Wuhan Bio Weapon Leak. From then till Trump stopped Direct Flights from China, 400000 travelers from Wuhan had reached USA. And then, in Febnruary Trump SLEPT and went to India to dance with Fascist Modi. February saw more Carriers from Europe freely enter the USA.
