Disinfecting The Left-Wing Media New lows of anti-Trump hysteria and smears after the president raised intelligent questions about ways to fight the Coronavirus. Scott McKay April 27, 2020 As well as President Trump has done in those daily press briefings discussing the federal government’s fight against the Wuhan ChiCom virus, it might be time to put those to bed. The reason? He’s beaten the Democrat activists in the White House press corps to a pulp, he’s destroyed their credibility, and he’s captured as much of the confidence of the American people as he can in those press conferences. And at this point the Dem activists are simply going to report what they want to report, the facts and reality be damned. Trump has noticed that, skipping the briefing on Saturday and expressing frustration with the media’s refusal to offer anything like responsible journalism on the virus. A good example of that came last Thursday, when Trump had Acting Undersecretary of Science and Technology for the Department of Homeland Security Bill Bryan at the podium to discuss a new study indicating that the presence of UV light, as in sunlight, was very effective in killing the Wuhan virus in open air, and also indicating that the virus died off very quickly in the presence of disinfectants. Bryan offered a good deal of information to indicate that the outdoors could be a tonic environment for those exposed to the virus, but not much of it was reported. Why? Because the president, interested in the findings of the study, asked a few questions about whether the study could open up the possibility of new methods to treat the virus. Specifically, he asked about whether UV light could be used inside the body, perhaps in the lungs, to kill the virus — and also whether disinfectants could be infused into the body of a virus patient. Maybe it’s inappropriate to hold a brainstorming session on different ways for doctors to kill the virus within the framework of a press conference. Or maybe its refreshing to see ideas discussed in the open. Your opinion might be colored by your opinion of the president. Or your opinion of the legacy media, which immediately reported that Trump was suggesting people huff Lysol. That idiocy spread so quickly that the makers of the household disinfectant put out a statement begging people not to swallow their product, as though somehow that’s what Trump was saying. It turns out that there are actual practical methods being employed to use UV light and disinfectants on an experimental basis with respect to treating the Wuhan virus. Whether Trump was aware of them or not when he asked the question, he isn’t the only one thinking along those lines. http://aytubio.com/healight/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iF9XRXtqRHg&feature=youtu.be Doctors at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles have been working on applications of UV light inside the body. In fact, last October they published an abstract of research into that very thing — an entry in the United European Gastroenterology Journal discussed “Internally Applied Ultraviolet Light as a Novel Approach for Effective and Safe Anti-Microbial Treatment.” And with the appearance of the Wuhan virus making effective forms of treatment highly important, a company called Aytu BioScience has invented something called the Healight, which is essentially a probe emitting beams of UVA light into the body of virus patients on ventilators, doing almost exactly what Trump was talking about. Here’s the YouTube video explaining the device. Whoops! Sorry. YouTube won’t allow you to see it for some reason — new and/or experimental treatments, especially those referred to by the president, can’t be discussed on YouTube. At the Healight website, the video is posted in Vimeo format. Also, there’s a “fan video” still on YouTube describing the device. As for the use of disinfectants inside the body, that isn’t unprecedented, either. No, nobody uses Lysol. But hydrogen peroxide, which is a well-known disinfectant, has been used internally for quite some time against infections. This, from two weeks ago… Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, H2O2 may help fight the coronavirus, according to Dr. Thomas Levy. He said people can utilize hydrogen peroxide using its aerosolized form in a standard nebulizer. Levy suggested using at least a 3 percent food grade hydrogen peroxide. It is important to know that some products have higher concentrations and people should inhale only 3 percent. How Hydrogen Peroxide Works Against Coronavirus The potential COVID-19 treatment mainly targets infected cells. Viruses move around the body by infecting live cells that replicate viral DNA and RNA. A recent study, published in the Journal of Hospital Infection, shows that even just 0.5 percent hydrogen peroxide could kill human coronaviruses, such as those that caused SARS and MERS. The findings backed a 2009 research that found inhaling vaporized hydrogen peroxide could lead to 99 percent inactivation of virus activities. Vaporized hydrogen peroxide has long been considered effective in removing viruses. Researchers in 1997 discovered that the compound could completely inactivate a range of exotic animal viruses. Another way to “disinfect” internally would be to use ozone, which is a method for treating infectious disease going back more than 100 years. A company in Texas has been touting ozone therapy as a potential treatment for the Wuhan virus, but just like in the case of the Healight, the media establishment and the public health bureaucracy came down like a ton of bricks on them, calling it a “sham” treatment. Whether it is or it isn’t, we aren’t going to weigh in on. The point is Trump isn’t the only one thinking along these lines. He isn’t a doctor and he can’t be expected to invent a miracle cure. But as the president attempting to find ways to fight the virus, it’s difficult to understand what’s so wrong about asking those questions. What’s most obnoxious about all of this is while Trump is being treated like a snake-oil salesman or a moron for discussing things like this — the way the media treated him for expressing optimism about hydroxychloroquine, while doctors all over the country were busy prescribing it to largely good effect, was nothing short of disgusting — it seems like he’s the only one who actually cares about finding effective treatments for the virus. These geniuses in the mainstream media and their pals in the Democrat party sure are big on telling everybody to stay under self-imposed house arrest, but perhaps your author is the only one noticing they trash every single suggestion for how to treat this thing. Maybe none of these methods work. Or maybe the media and the Left actually LIKE the shutdown. And what would it say about them if that was the case? http://spectator.org/disinfecting-the-left-wing-media/

I have no idea what this means, but like I said in another thread, there's no point in responding. I'm sure I will bite again soon, but I'm not in the mood tonight. IP: Logged |

You have no idea what that means because it wasn't meant for you...unless you were one of the yippers and yappers alleging President Trump said people should drink/inject Lysol or bleach or perhaps Drano to kill coronavirus. Well, were you? Turns out Trump was right in what he said when he questioned a government scientist about ultraviolet light and internal disinfectant killing coronavirus. But, he said nothing about Lysol or bleach or Drano. Perhaps if you read the article..... IP: Logged |

Jwhop got this one right about the don. No amount of bias , including mine, can put drinking brand names in his mouth. It was lame brained to attempt a weak brainstorming session during a national press conference. The question he ask simply means he needs to talk to Drs and Scientists more often and be intelligently prepared. ------------------ Partial truth~the seeds of wisdom~can be found in many places...The seeds of wisdom are contained in all scriptures ever written… especially in art, music, and poetry and, above all, in Nature.

As it turns out, President Trump was right about ultraviolet light and disinfectant use internally to kill coronavirus. Or, perhaps he already knew both were being tested...as the lead article on this thread shows. The propaganda press and democrats...same thing, took the bait, screeched and howled about Trump recommending drinking Lysol and bleach to kill coronavirus. Democrats and their conspirators in the press look like fools for jumping all over the story with their lies. Can't wait for Trump to drop another mountain on democrat buffoons when he invites the owner of Aytu BioScience to a press conference to talk about Healight..and/or Dr. Thomas Levy to talk about aerosolized hydrogen peroxide breathed in through a nebulizer to kill coronavirus in the lungs. The number of Americans who believe anything the democrat propaganda press says is dwindling. Their screeching and howling over this issue is typical...and the reason their credibility is in tatters. Trump didn't say a word about ingesting bleach. Trump didn't say a word about ingesting Lysol. You know this, so why do you persist in trying to blame Trump for the stupidity of others...if those stories are even true? IP: Logged |

There are so many people who blindly follow an authority figure. I'm not disparaging them but their common sense needs to prevail . In this case, it suprised my by the amount of poison control calls and people actually considering if poison is safe to inject or swollow. A good lesson for them to remember, the don is a business man not qualified to give medical advice. Next time, listen with their ears not bias's Hopefully, he will stop musing during a national emergency and stick to factual material. ------------------ Partial truth~the seeds of wisdom~can be found in many places...The seeds of wisdom are contained in all scriptures ever written… especially in art, music, and poetry and, above all, in Nature.

Oh Really!Calls to poison control hotlines are up because people bought bleach, Lysol and other disinfectants...not because Trump told them to Chug-A-lug disinfectants but because of constant reminders, TV, radio and news stories to disinfect...your hands, your clothing, your kitchen countertops and other hard surfaces to kill coronavirus. Further, those increased calls reported by poison control hotlines occurred BEFORE TRUMP ASKED TASK FORCE DOCTORS ABOUT EXPLORING THE USE OF DISINFECTANTS TO TREAT CORONA VIRUS PATIENTS. President Trump asked the question to his Coronavirus Task Force on...April 24th! No, Poison Control Calls Aren't Suddenly Spiking After Trump's Disinfectant Comments Calls to U.S. poison control centers are up. They have been since March. Elizabeth Nolan Brown On Thursday, the president suggested that perhaps an "injection" of disinfectant could help cure people of COVID-19. Critics of Donald Trump went to town—and rightfully so!—while supporters scrambled to settle on a defense (both "he didn't really say that" and "he did but it was sarcasm" have been in play). By Saturday morning, social media was abuzz with articles about people calling poison control centers, each crafted to illustrate how Americans had apparently taken Trump's ramblings to heart and consumed household disinfectants like Lysol and bleach. The problem? Articles shared as illustrations of this actually said no such thing. One article making the rounds, from the New York Daily News, is headlined "A spike in New Yorkers ingesting household cleaners following Trump's controversial coronavirus comments." But the article makes no mention of anyone deliberately consuming household cleaners. It simply states that 30 people called the city's poison control hotline "over fears that they had ingested bleach or other household cleaners." Fearing that you ingested something doesn't jibe with having intentionally consumed that substance. The authors of the Daily News piece, Anna Sanders and Chris Sommerfeldt, try to circumvent this inconvenient fact by noting that over the same time period in 2019, the Poison Control Center "only handled 13 similar cases." And while this time, nine calls were about possible Lysol exposure and 10 about bleach, last year's calls contained "no cases reported about Lysol exposure and only two were specifically in regards to bleach." The paper doesn't present any other data about calls to Poison Control for comparison. But one needn't do a detailed analysis to surmise why exposure to things like Lysol and bleach—and fears about this exposure—might be up this month over April 2019. And one needn't reach for the ridiculous explanation that it's because people deliberately consumed it en masse after listening to Trump. We are in the midst of a pandemic right now, and we were not in April 2019. Of course more people are being exposed to household disinfectants at the moment than were during this time last year. The Daily News does note that none of the callers died or required hospitalization, which also suggests their exposure was minimal and not of the Lysol-mouthwash variety. But the Daily News piece is far from the only poison-control story being framed misleadingly. A story out of Kentucky that's being shared as "evidence" people have been consuming household cleaners following Trump's Thursday statements is actually about calls to Kentucky poison control centers in March. "Poison control centers around the country, including here in Kentucky, are seeing a spike in calls related to COVID-19," says the WDRB.com story. Ashley Webb, director of the Kentucky Poison Control Center, told the outlet that "just in March, we saw about a 30% increase in hand sanitizer exposures and about a 50% increase in household cleaners." A similar spike in calls to poison control centers has been seen in many states. But these boosts all started in March, as people began using more household disinfectants to try and stave off the new coronavirus, and not just last week. Michigan reported "a nine percent increase in calls for accidental poisoning from home cleaning supplies" in March, says ABC 57. In Maryland, over the past six weeks, "calls for toxic exposure to hand sanitizers have nearly doubled since the same time in 2018," according to Fox 5 Baltimore. "In addition, the MD Control Center has had 95 calls for bleach exposure, more than double last year's 46 calls in the same time period." In Illinois, two people "had 'inappropriate exposure' to disinfectants after President Trump's COVID-19 briefing Thursday," reported WCIA.com on Friday. But a spokesperson for Illinois Poison Control told WCIA that this wasn't unusual and calls had been up 36 percent since the COVID-19 pandemic's start, often related to people doing things like trying to wash produce with cleaners that are toxic for people to ingest. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 28,158 people called U.S. poison control centers about possible exposure to household cleaners in March 2020, compared to 25,021 in March 2019. The number of calls about possible exposure to disinfectants went from 12,801 in March 2019 to 17,392 in March 2020. The CDC report containing these numbers was released this week, so many have interpreted the data as being related to the Trump disinfectant hoopla. But the CDC data on poison control calls end on March 31. http://reason.com/2020/04/25/no-poison-control-calls-arent-sudd enly-spiking-after-trumps-disinfectant-comments/

Trump asked about light and disinfectant injected into the body. There are two existing therapies. UV therapy as well as ozone therapy. The one that has the left all riled up is ozone therapy. This has been used for cancer patients. O3 gas is infused into the body as a DISINFECTANT to improve the intake of oxygen while ramping up the immune system, thus more efficiently killing bacteria and viruses. You can google it if you want. Trump asked the expert off to the side if testing was being done relative to applying this to the coronavirus. But of course NBC CBS CNN and company would take his words out of context to make it sound like he looked at the camera and said “hey let’s all drink bleach”. Disinfectant inside the body is indeed dangerous and should only be done by a doctor.A footnote: if you take high amounts of vitamin C yourself, you will wind up with a buildup of hydrogen peroxide inside the body. Hydrogen peroxide is a DISINFECTANT. This is why vitamin C is so effective against viruses on its own. Side note: hydrogen peroxide is actually produced in the human body to help keep cells healthy. One of the spots it’s produced is the lungs. So, your body actually produces it’s own disinfectant. People gargle, it, put it in ears to pull out ear wax and yes actually put it in their body when they pour it into cuts. Not Trumps fault that most people hear disinfectant and think household cleaners. What I really suggest is that people do their own research. IP: Logged |

"For those that want to know, the so called ‘disinfectant’ Trump was alluring to is called Hypochlorous Acid. It is a well known anti-bacterial that can, in certain conditions, be ingested into the human body. The media are such bloody morons, of course the man is not a scientist so doesn’t know the full details.. incidentally he’s not meant to, it’s not his job, he has scientists to do the research and come up with the solutions for him and the people! However, after researching for a while (which the media could well have done instead of dumb-criticism) it only took me a short period of reading to discover there are already patents and research projects going on to realise a way of creating an orally safe version.. which funnily enough acts as a ‘DISINFECTANT’ THAT ERADICATES PATHOGENS INTERNALLY!! Stay Safe (from the media) People... See Below research patents: http://patents.google.com/patent/CN101313916A/en IP: Logged |

I will also bring up Trump was criticized a lot for bringing up hydroxychloroquine! Some things you should know: **Giving people hydroxychloroquine when they are in critical condition already in ventilators has proven to be ineffective and unhelpful but what the media won't tell you is that hydroxychloroquine has proven to be very effective when given early on to treat coronavirus and for prevention purposes.People who have autoimmune diseases who were already taking hydroxychloroquine have not gotten coronavirus. For example, people with Lupus are already taking treatments that prevent them from getting it so statistics are showing these folks are not getting infected. ^^Perhaps we can target at risk people and put them on treatments of this nature. **Last hydroxychloroquine is very cheap and big pharma wants the media to shut down treatments that are affordable and want them promote more expensive treatments/solutions they can patent.
