*it should read reelection survey*

I received one in the mail today. It was hilarious!!
Front and back plus one page cover letter.
It railed and whined about the democrats ad nausium.
The survey was much of the same. No expected questions on the economy ,foreign policy or any other important issues.
More railing, finger pointing and berating Democrats in general and Pelosi and Schumer specifically .
Very self serving and unthinkable from a POTUS.
I hope another country doesn't get a look at one. Embarrassing and the jokes on us .

The only embarrassment is the Democrat nominee. He’s the best your party can do?

Your president is an embarrassment every day. That was the best you could do, and you’re happy about it? I worry more about who supports him, than what he might do next.

so cheap.
Instead of focussing on the covid-19 crisis they are wasting time on these trivia.
But even Nancy pelosi should focus on covid-19 related issues, not sure why she is hooked on to Trump.

Is all this just a drama indeed and battle is fought really in the political arena in the end. Nationalism and not betraying your country is secondary in the grand scheme of things? Will these people deflect to Mexico or some other foreign country when the testing times comes?

They better get their act clean.

The survey also ask if I would work for the campaign and contribute monetarily

15% unemployment , doled out stimulus checks and the don wants some of it back for his cause.

Good times.

We're still not over laughing at the green cardboard that was handed once on the place to the US and asked if we had participated in nazi crimes in the 40's and were coming with the intention to perform terrorists acts.

So, how much did you contribute to Trump's campaign coffers?

Surely, you're not blaming President Trump for the 15% unemployment number!!!!!!

Another boomer bites the dust but collateral damage is all part of the political game.

You didn't know? lol
O boy... in the 90's and early 2000's, when you travelled to the US, you were handed this green cardboard form destined to immigration and custom services to fill in during the flight, that included general questions about you (name, address, address to be in the states etc...) including a whole section about mental illnesses, participation to crimes of war in the nazi era, entering the US soil with the intention to commit crimes, intention to perform terrorist acts...
It has since disappeared and was replaced by the ESTA forms mainly around 2008 I think, though not too expert, haven’t travelled to the US in ages, though I know for a fact the questions about criminal intentions remain to this day for having seen a friend fill out his form on his computer.
For all the laughter this has brought into my life, I cannot tell a country that wasted so much ink and carboard for so many years and keeps on asking such questions, to "not" change ^^

You actually think the American people don't want to know who is entering the United States, if they have criminal records, if they're fleeing prosecution in another country etc.?

I'm an American citizen. If I left the US, it would have been on a US Passport. Same for reentering the US.

Glad you got a good laugh. Bet citizens of most countries would like to see more stringent entry requirement for people coming into their countries. Ask the French. Ask the Germans. Ask the Spaniards. Ask the British. Ask the Italians...etc.

I have an American passport, but I remember mum dealing with something like that. When my dad was an accidental bigamist for a little while, after rushing to remarry my mother, and not realizing that something was marked incorrectly on his divorce papers with his second wife, this woman at St. Louis airport was threatening to send my mother back to England, when we were in the process of moving to California. Never mind that she'd lived here for a decade before, had a green card, paid taxes, married an American, given birth to two American citizens - nope, she was flagged as a potential problem.

Wow, you really are short-sighted to a frightening degree. I'll spell it: the laughing had nothing to do with regulating whoever gets in the country, it had to do with the ridiculously inefficient way in which it's done. It's amazing to me you didn't get that and you jumped to some inexistent debate where you defend something that is not questioned with arguments that are neither here nor there. Taking people's word at face value is not a "stringent" method by any shot.
But ok darling, you keep on believing the blokes on the plane on 9/11 ticked the box and told customs what they were up to and I keep living in reality
Please let us Germans, British, Spanish, French, Italians... where we are. We didn't ask for your help with immigration, in fact you're probably the last country we look at for ideas in that matter.

But do you also have a British one?
Yes, the green thing is quite famous, pretty sure your mum would have filled it

I was 16 the first time I travelled and encountered it. We were a group and one of the boys thought it was so stupid he wanted to tick yes, for "fun", like any stupid 16 year old does, the adults in charge explained it was no joke and the kid was floored, I remember him saying "damn it's so easy being a criminal in this country if people just believe it if you say you aren't". In our culture, when we talk about criminal records, we check, we don't ask people.
But I digress, what shocks me now in retrospect is that it was just a short 2 weeks trip, you know? Teenagers on a visit program, and we had to answer these questions, some of them we weren't even fit to answer as minors, it was completely disproportionate and ridiculous.

Ha, hell hath no fury my dove... Immigration in any country really can get bonkers on a whim. Look far enough and everyone comes from some migrant, based on that and the madness of paperwork, anyone can be turned into an illegal on some technicality.

I don't have a British one, but I was born in England, so they would wave me straight through. I should still have dual citizenship.

It is funny to think of terrorists telling the truth on the form. Maybe even detailing their plans.

Don't understand why filling out an entry questionnaire would offend you...or why you would find it funny that America would want to know who and for what purpose people are entering the US.

Most of the citizens of countries I listed would like a more stringent immigration/entry process.

Keep this in the front of your mind; I'm not your 'darling'.

🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦

I express amusement, you read offence.

I clearly spell my point, you keep on arguing about something else as if you were unable to say something that hasn’t been programmed, like you run pre-validated opinions only.
Just like you keep on posting long and extremely biased articles using propaganda terms all the while pretending to denounce bias and propaganda (clearly, you’re a stranger to irony if you don’t even get the difference between amusement and offence) from everyone you decide to associate to your “enemy”, because you exclusively express yourself in extreme binary terms and have never proven yourself to be able to articulate a thorough or even just nuanced thought (yes, resorting to posting articles every time a point requires over 5 lines and something other than a yes/no agree/disagree answer is NOT debating or discussing and is not impressive, especially when you then have the nerve to insult the mental abilities of those who disagree with you when at least they wrote something all by themselves, like grownups).

I clearly signify to you I am a resident of the countries you listed, you keep on telling me what my fellow citizens want. It’s like you’re struggling to come off as both entitled and seriously challenged.

I use ‘darling ‘ as a cultural reflex thing, you literalise it and add a “my” (as if I’d ever use an affectionate possessive around you EEHW, what’s wrong with you? You’re a rude and extremist stranger to me) and some shade of teeth (because that wasn’t completely gratuitous nor pathetic in a Thatcher’s epic quote “being powerful is like being a lady, if you have to tell people you are, you aren’t“ way.)

But, ok, darling, I’ll remember that you tried to patronise my language on the grounds of you being upset you don’t understand anything I say like some good xenophobic reflex: me not understand, it don’t fit extremes and binary mode, it bad, me attack.

This is obviously my last post to you, there was a reason why I never engaged with anything you posted (oops, I almost typed “wrote” lol), I wish I had learnt by now that being polite never warrants anything and that someone who has no record of an interesting, stimulating, thorough, nuanced thought, doesn’t all of a sudden provide something that can qualify as conversation and not hollow word vomit.

Thankfully, I never stay mistaken long, I don’t play chess with pigeons. Off you flock.

Aaah, good, who would want to cut ties with the mother land? 😊 #teamscones 😉
Exactly, it’s basic common sense. Asking people once they are on a plane at that (it was before boarding when I filled it again in 2002, but from 1998 to 2001, I had to do it during the flight) is no policy or measure, it’s just rubbish. Especially considering the ability to actually ask for and verify documents prior to people flying in.
We laughed at the silliness of the process, but I remember the landing to be dreadful. You queue and you’re sent to the booth one by one, the agent makes ZERO effort with the English (I was with a group of 20 foreign kids, they only had basic school English) and sported faces that were aggressively unfriendly. I remember half the kids bursting into tears. This is pointless, terrorising children and tourists is in no way a means to prevent terrorism and crime. Criminals don’t care about lying or people being rude and mean to them. Children and tourists do.
Take the Eurostar at the same time for example, controls were much stricter, including for people from within the EU, but it was all fair and clean. You knew in advance what documents to send and provide depending on your trip. By the time you queued they already knew you’re not an offender, and the person verifying passports adapted their pace for non-English speakers and sometimes they even smiled! Basic human stuff, and actually efficient (within the reasonable limits of any immigration control of course).

Not sure what I was feeling then. Elon musk was deciding to move his company away from California perhaps.

But seriously, have they ever explained, why that weird flag on the moon was fluttering instead of drooping because there is no atmosphere on the moon. So this acceptable for the government to tell half truths. Can they really get away with anything in the name of national security of foreign competition. Seriously , 2020 on is year of judgement and the way saturn is aligning it is payback time for most of the year and next for the USA.

USA needs to disclose all truths, come out on all the lies including Roswell.

As superpower it should fear no one.
It owes it the world.
