Violence is not justice. Vigilante justice is of the dark ages and should never be accepted by any citizen or leaders .

Not all suburban women voted for him. It's very clear to many of us that he has continued with the same attitude that he ran with. He was excusing violence from his supporters, during his campaign - he offered to pay the legal fees for those who assaulted protesters.

I wanted to attend a peaceful protest, and was going to figure out how to do it safely. A friend of mine in NYS, near the border, said that her town had a socially distant protest.

I'm not in favour of violence, but a lot of it seems to be coming from the police, not the protesters. Maybe if those protesters in Michigan, and elsewhere, hadn't protested with *guns*, and tried to scare lawmakers, they would have been taken more seriously. I feel for anyone who is living through this - I have friends who are scared, and dealing with this, too. I also have friends who feel grateful that they've managed to survive another day in America, as a black person. They aren't out there looting, they're wishing that people understood, and will stand for *actual* change, instead of lip service, and nothing really happening to change things.

Also: if people were only concerned about making a living, and nothing else, what's with the mocking of people wearing masks, and trying to keep a safe distance? Randall said that if he owned a store, he would throw out anyone who wore a mask in there. WHY? A friend of mine dealt with harassment, glares, and nasty comments, because she wore a mask to the grocery store. Other people have mentioned the same thing. People are deliberately not being careful, like toddlers, and what kind of point are they trying to make? They harm whatever message the rest of you were trying to get across. Several of you sneered at me, for being concerned. I was just scared, or wanted people to die of suicide or starvation, right? None of this is a joke. None of it.

Rather than sneer at the website this is published on, why not take in the actual message?

"Violent protests are not the story. Police violence is.
The protests will eventually end. But state-sanctioned violence against black Americans won’t."

At the protest in Cleveland, most people were wearing masks, and some were handing out bottles of water, and hand sanitizer. They weren't there to cause trouble, or to loot, they were there in support of the people who are scared they will be the next George Floyd, or that one of their children could be the next Tamir Rice.

If looting is okay, then it doesn't matter who is doing it, right? Or is is only okay if blacks are looting? Then we can spin all sort of socio-political theories to justify it?

If you are now saying and believing the looting and instigating are done by Alt-right groups who have infiltrated Antifas (that's the latest conspiracy theory I am hearing on various medias), then why are you still up in arms about the possibility that they might get shot while doing their nefarious deeds? I am not losing sleep over Alt-right getting shot while causing mayhem...

If people truly believe Alt-right is behind all the mayhem, then why are they still taking to the street and marching "peacefully" since it will predictably degenerate?

Now, on to the Antifa folks. If they are so hapless and clueless that they have become a portal or vector for Alt-right to use as coverup, then maybe they should cull their ranks or disband.
