In light of the recent shootings in the fledgling new nation of CHOP and protesters blocking the police from providing aid, the radical mayor says she will dismantle it.

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan is a contemptible disgrace."The mayor did not give an immediate timeline for clearing out the occupation but said “additional steps” would be examined if people don't leave voluntarily. With scores of people camping in a park in the protest zone, Durkan said peaceful demonstrations could continue, but nighttime disorder had to stop. Right! Check! Additional steps would be examined! See, Trump didn't have to intervene.  After the shooting death of a 19 year old (apparently black) youth this weekend, in what was supposed to be a self-governing police free safe heaven for blacks, Mayor Durkan and the City council have eggs on their faces, along with the liberals/pogressists/ leftists that supported this experiment. They have to do something. Now, what remains to be seen is if all the CHOP people there will leave voluntarily, and if not what additional "measures" will be then taken. Had Trump thrown himself in the midst of all this like an elephant in a china shop, he would have had to assume all blames while the usual suspects would have come out smelling like roses. I am glad cooler heads in the administration prevailed on this.

Belage, you are right... but. It's not over. We will have to see what they (squatters) do. This is Durkans summer of love; joke or not she has made poor choices. Bhaz is more worrysome right now. St. JOHNS CHURCH is beyond horrible. ------------------

Juniper, what we have now is mob rule, which is condoned by the democratic party's silence and cheered by woke whites on twitter, so they feel emboldened. I have not heard Joe Biden say anything about the latest events, nothing about CHAZ/CHOP, the toppling of statues, desecration of graves, defacing of federal sites.. I googled, but I found nothing, Zip. Nothing from Pelosi either. If I missed their statements on this, please someone put a link. THey are silent because they probably realize the situation is getting out of control and they don't know what to do. So they are laying low, thinking it is best to let Don make the first move and they then can come out and act indignant and say he is antagonizing things and putting oil on fire instead of uniting people. The Greatest Protest in the past several years has been the "Shaheen Bagh" Protest by Minority Women in New Delhi against Modi's Holocaust Camp Enabling Laws. Not a single act of violence, 100% effective. Modi had to postpone the Implementation of the Law. If a Protest in a Democracy has weapons and violence and vandalism, it is meaningless.
