And stained glass church windows. Why don’t they attack mosques? Mohamed owned slaves.

Same reason the statues of Lenin and Marx are untouched. There are already stirrings of Sharia law enforcement being planned in Minneapolis. This is happening in Europe, too.

I haven't seen any evidence of Sharia law. This country also isn't a Christian nation. I'm not religious - a lot of people aren't.

No it isn’t, because our forefathers were wise enough to write the provision into the constitution that religion cannot be legislated or enforced. Abolishing the police in Minneapolis has opened the door for ideological policing. This has already happened in NYC, when charges were dismissed against rioters, while throwing Jews and other church goers in jail. The Supreme Court just ruled on this, stating it’s discrimination.

In Europe, there are Islamists that dress in police-like uniforms and drive in cars designed to resemble police cars. They enforce things like strict curfew on women being out after dark or without a male chaperone. This has already happened in NYC. Minnesota has a large Muslim community, and they have already been fighting for sharia law to be recognized and allowed for several years. There is a reason Islamists are supporting the BLM organization, because they also support abolishing the established courts and police.

Because you think Jesus wasn’t white or because you aren’t Christian doesn’t mean those statues should be taken down.

They can't be replaced with something more realistic, by those who believe in him?

Religious freedom. A statue of Christ is covered by that.
If the Christ statue offends anyone, too bad. 1st amendment.

Except it isn’t the parishioners of these churches calling for this change. Just like circumventing law to tear down statues in cities across the nation, the ones calling for this aren’t content to follow or respect the democratic process of the local community.

(music) Some Children See Him (Alfred Burt, text by Father Andrew, 1954, perf James Taylor)
[4:41] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s49gEmTlOTk

song lyrics

Some children see Him lily white,
The baby Jesus born this night.
Some children see Him lily white,
With tresses soft and fair.

Some children see Him bronzed and brown,
The Lord of heav'n to earth come down.
Some children see Him bronzed and brown,
With dark and heavy hair.

Some children see Him almond-eyed,
This Savior whom we kneel beside.
Some children see Him almond-eyed,
With skin of yellow hue.

Some children see Him dark as they,
Sweet Mary's Son to whom we pray.
Some children see him dark as they,
And, oh! they love Him, too!

The children in each different place
Will see the baby Jesus' face
Like theirs,
.. but bright with heavenly grace,
And filled with holy light. !!!

O lay aside each earthly thing
And with 'thy heart' as offering, !!!
Come worship now the infant King.

'Tis LOVE
,,, that's born tonight!

endquote

The MESSAGE... is Love.
* Love God --
* And, Love one another
.. whatever skin you're wrapped in.

Intent behind the song --
quote
This text came from the part of their conversation that had pointed out the purity of the way children embrace the baby Jesus, seeing Him as being just like them.
. . .

As our world has become more global and our experiences more diverse, this carol, … has truly come into its own.
As is often the case, insights of children hold profound truths that are eclipsed by our adult sophistication.

“Some Children See Him” has become the carol that speaks to us in this complicated world of the purity of faith and the immensity of God-with-us.

Another worrisome attack on freedom of religion. Not surprising it is coming from people who are not religious or even spiritual, they want to infringe on other's right to practice their beliefs as they see fit.

However, we also need to have a larger conversation, long overdue, as the infringements have not been one sided. I totally respect everyone's right to believe what they want but in the past 2 decades, the religious right has actively tried to infringe on other people's right to live as they please.

To name a few, women's reproductive choices have been under attack. You don't like or want abortion? Simple, don't get one. You are free to stand on street corners and shout anti abortion sermons. You can preach it from your pulpit. You can state your position when talking with friends, and strangers irl or online, but you cannot enact laws to infringe on other people's bodies and life choices. And then you wonder why people are pushing back at religion...

You don't like homosexuality, fine. I do not believe in imposing alternative lifestyles on religion. Churches and non-profit religious organizations should not be forced to hire or keep people who do not fit their religious ideas. I am totally in support of them pushing back on these issues. HOWEVER, I also want to see them step back and not try to enact laws that interfere with the right of gays to get married and to live life as they see fit, outside of the religious community.

Freedom of religion is a beautiful thing, a right I deeply cherish, but some soul searching needs to be done by the religious right on the way they have conducted themselves in the past decades. Have they infringed on other's non-religions beliefs?

U.S. District Judge Gary L. Sharpe handed down a preliminary injunction on Friday against New York officials for violating the First Amendment by shutting down religious services while encouraging Black Lives Matter protests....

None of the major newspapers (CNN, NY Times, Washington Post) have covered this story. I googled and could not find anything from those sites. Crickets...

But I bet if the judge had ruled in favor of Cuomo and Diblasio, they would have trumpeted it on their sites.

They don't want the public to know that maybe, just maybe, what those officials did was not right.

I joined an e-church back in 2013~2014.
Have been attending 'live' church services,
streamed on computer.

After the prohibiting of live physical church attendance due to COVID, the pastor announced that ALL church services would be televised from this sanctuary through the e-church, found on the church's website.
He announced he would NOT open live attendance until it was SAFE.

The pastor also opened a youtube live-streaming channel.

Today, the echurch link visuals were pixelating pretty badly. Audio was fine, but I like "watching" the pastor preach. Went to youtube streaming service instead.

I loved watching the chatroom during the broadcast. (I don't have a youtube account, so I can't participate.) When individual people type in the chat, asking for prayers about issues in their life, I pray for them too.

While I watched, YouTube showed there were 26,000 viewers partaking in live services.

Before I responded to this post tonight, I double-checked the channel for number of views----

There were 44,296 views listed for a service that streamed only 7 hours ago.

With these sermons being stored at his channel, ALL services are available to listen to, at any time.

The church has MORE ready-INFLUENCE now, than it did before COVID. I've noticed other mega-churches, and even Catholic Masses are streaming their services. I started visiting a small home Jewish worship service too.. Shalom Sabbat.

No germs!
Church from the privacy of your home.
And you know that 10's of thousands of people are worshiping together, in ONE accord.

The people in the chat were from places ALL over the World!

I've been in new age online streaming prayer sessions before.

It Makes A Difference.

(music) The Presence of The Lord is Here (Byron Cage, 2003) [7:02] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwQah89a-8A

"..humble themselves and pray,
I shall heal their land."

Well, it seems that according to these officials it's not okay to attend church services, but perfectly fine to protest en masse.

Good news.

Salvation lies within

I am watching the game of thrones series in HBO , and noticed a flag /sigil of an army showing a man crucified upside down. That is Peter the jew (Jupiter). The Elites has done a magic 2000 years ago, to rule the masses, by this symbol. It is all coming to me so clear our history and thus the future. 9/11 twin tower burning down to become one was a ritual too. I hear Jefferson didn't want any part of religion in the constitution to be protected-- He was right after all. Hitler cleansed Germany of christianity. In America , it will take a village to cure them of their badly invested faith. Good to see masses awakening. No more poisoning of their souls by philosophy and ideology. The rich people has been looting the poors and torturing their souls by pushing technology and ideology down their throats. We have become slaves to our employers, to the system.

http://nypost.com/2020/ 06/30/black-jesus-painting-now-in-one-of-uks-oldest-cathedrals/?utm_source=NYPTwitter&utm_paign=SocialFlow&utm_medium=SocialFlow

One of Britain’s oldest churches is paying tribute to the Black Lives Matter movement by installing a version of Leonardo Da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” with Jesus recast as a black prophet.

Dubbed “A Last Supper,” the reinterpretation of the original 15th-century artwork was painted by British painter Lorna May Wadsworth, who hired Jamaican model Tafari Hinds to pose as the son of God. The 9-foot print will be installed at the alter of St. Albans Cathedral in Hertfordshire — a move prompted by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.

poorly executed painting, but tbf artistic accomplishment isn't really the point here, is it?

Sweet! They should repaint Peter as the typical "American republican post Lincoln era". Absolutely , no tolerance of other races and the true deceiver of the Master Yeshua.

Not surprised the leftist droolers in the press are protecting their leftist mayors and governors.

Time for pitchfork parties in Albany and NY city.
