With that said, the bad needs to be taken with the good. Those two very stereotypyically "red neck" guys, did take "Borat", a foreigner, in and let him live with them despite his weirdness and eccentricity, and that was a very kind and generous thing to do. Hence, they do have some heart connection.

But some of their beliefs and perceptions that they were talking about are very dogma based, very distorted, very extreme, very fear based, and very cringey.

And when Borat was singing at the festival about chopping up people, etc, and people in the crowd were cheering, and during a Nazi reference at least one person haled Hitler--well these are disturbing signs/indications.

The ironic thing is that many of these folks identify as "Christian". If they truly understood and lived the message of Christ, they were would be a lot more loving, tolerant, forgiving, and they would be a lot more focused on facilitating unity rather than separation. But instead, many of them just complain constantly about "liberals", "Democrats", etc as if these were not fellow people, but a separate species.

This is very sad, and very un-Christ like. The other side does it as well too much. But, many of these don't call themselves Christians.

The deepest and most important truth in all of Creation is that we are One and completely interconnected. What we do, think, don't do, don't think to the "least" of those of the Whole, we do our Maker, to the Whole and to ourselves ultimately. Christ came to teach and example that Oneness in the flesh. Love is the active recognition and livingness of that Oneness in the flesh.

We call can do better. We all should try to do better. Rather than focus so much on the differences and the negatives in others, try to focus on the good, the positive. There is at least a tiny bit of the Creator and good in most people (except hard core psychopaths), whatever their political affiliation.

And the obvious truth is, the REAL enemies, the psychopathic plutocrats fund and play both sides of the aisle and political parties as is necessary and convenient for their goals, which is ultimately world control/domination. YOU friends, are contributing to their goals and plans when you as a common person, fight amongst your likewise commoners.

I find Borat to be unreliable and unethical. You saw the gun shop vid? The long tradition of Jewish comedians beating on white, mostly rural, Anericans is tiresome and just so overdone. I dont believe we will learn anything truthful from such a biased representation of a community he clearly dislikes.

Does the Tolerance Paradox apply to Christians? Per their traditional teaching, evil must be recognized and identified.

If the chart is correct, the ruler of his Gemini Rising is in Scorpio closely conjunct Scorp Saturn, and he has Scorpio Sun conjunct Scorpio Pluto. That's a lot of ego, materialism, etc. Basically a slower vibratory/less mature Soul chart.

But ironically, with Venus, Moon, and Uranus in Sagittarius, he probably sees and views himself as a "truth teller" (many comedians do).

Anyways, whether or not I like or agree with the guy, the interactions between him and the ultra right/conservative guys who took him in, do have some interesting points. They definitely seemed sincere and not actors.

But I'm sure there is plenty in that movie that is taken out of context and they show the very worst and/or most dramatic stuff. Cohen's definitely extremely biased if nothing else.

I tend to either go directly within to Expanded Guidance to get info via deep meditation and dreams, or I look at varied sources on various sides before I come to conclusions.

And as I happen to live in the south of the US, I've seen directly, with mine own eyes, plenty of what the film addressed in relation to people that are ultra right/conservative. My particular county is very highly Tea party and very, very strongly Trump supporting. But, do I view most of these people as "evil"? No course not. Just a bit overly fear filled, afraid of change, and sometimes a little ignorant.

But I agree with John Lennon in his song, "Working Class Hero" when he sings, "And you think you're so clever, classless, and free, but you're still f'ing peasants as far as I can see."

Hello Ballerina, are you selective about who you get news from? I also find that stepping back from news, Twitter, threads helps a lot. I am mindful of what I read and who I listen to. Have to be careful on these threads. I don't read poison. I'm finding that Sacred sound and yogic breathing practices are very effective to safeguard my state of mind.

President Trump won 73,000,000 (that we know of) in 2020. He won more votes than any president in U.S. history.

Yet, we're supposed to believe Joe Biden won more votes than Barack Obama in 2008.
