The Early Voting in Texas is just inspiring, almost 8 million votes cast with 2 more days to go for early voting. This means record voting guaranteed in this election. Hope 90%+ of eligible Americans Vote. This is the Beauty of Democracy, everyone taking the effort to have a Say.------------------ Astrology Articles New Services and short readings IP: Logged |

Fingers crossed for good news from there. Ohio will probably remain red, but I’d like to see it go blue again. IP: Logged |

Ohio is a bellwether that has determined the victor correctly since 1964. Interestingly though, the key states this election cycle will be Michigan and Pennsylvania.Everything is out of whack though, so predictions are basically useless. As for the greatest state in the union, Texas has had early voting as an option for a long time (I voted early in 2018). We’re also the 2nd most populous state. I’m not surprised at the large turnout. IP: Logged |

Yeah, Biden's attacks on God, Guns and Oil is a winning strategy for Texas, also for Pennsylvania and Ohio.IP: Logged |

texas aint what it used to be, jwhopto the point, *texans* aren't what they used to be. Californians and Mexicans do not magically transform into GOP voting cowboys when they cross the state line. IP: Logged |

Biden is religious. What are you on about? I saw rump declaring that all holidays would be taken away from people, along with school and church. He is an idiot, so much for not wanting to scare people. IP: Logged |

Texas has good liberals who live there, too. Shocking.

If Texas goes Blue in this election, and if Dems take the Senate, then it would be the end of the GOP as we know it for two decades minimum.

Biden has as much chance of winning Texas as a bowl of frozen ice cream has of remaining solid in a blast furnace. IP: Logged |

I sure hope you are right JWHop. I really do. But please promise us that you will not blame Election Fraud in Texas if Biden pulls it off.IP: Logged |

People attempting fraud have already been caught here. Jwhop is correct, in that Texas turning blue is incredibly unlikely. Texas going for Biden would absolutely be an indication of fraud. A state doesn’t just switch affiliation in a single term cycle. Any change would first be reflected by congress members or governors elected across many terms. One of the most important industries here is oil and gas, and as an energy-independent state, it would be absurd to vote for the guy who wants to phase it out. The leading investors and researchers in green energy are those same big oil and gas companies. Texas has the largest wind farm in the US. Going for Biden would cripple the state’s economy. No way will Texans cast their electorate votes for him. IP: Logged |

I think you are downplaying the numbers. Texan urban counties lean left. Hispanic Texans lean left. Are we forgetting Beto's near win? Jwhop at least is old enough to remember a solidly, dependably red California. Demographics changed that. What is to prevent the same happening in Texas? IP: Logged |

I've said repeatedly I dont believe Texas will turn blue this presidential election. But you will likely lose 2024 and definitely 2028.
If you believe that is avoidable, I would genuinely like to hear how it might be done

The urban centers have been blue for a long time. I grew up in the Austin area, and it has always been “Austin weird”, suffering high crime and homelessness. Texans are prideful though, so they will stick to their principles. There is a large influx of out-of-state transplants that have been invited in by Gov Abbott. Those are not Texans, but they clump together in those same urban centers. He’s also ******* a lot of Texans off about meddling in the people’s business. That’s an indicator that the population is swinging right.Demographics are certainly changing, but I don’t expect to see it affect this election, and certainly not this rapidly. Beto had a close senate election against Cruz, because his coffers were very deep. He also tried to cling onto Sanders’ populist left movement, attracting younger voters. The situation today is different. IP: Logged |

Those urban counties have some of fastest growing urban pops in the nation. Texas is becoming an urban state, as crazy as that might sound to older people. When you say "not Texans" do you mean they can not (legally lol) vote in Texas? Because if they can vote in Texas, they're Texans. IP: Logged |

In some circles, it is said that "voting is giving your consent to be ruled/governed". IP: Logged |

By not Texan, I mean not Texan in heart. They do not espouse Texan values, the (oftentimes amusing) pride Texans hold, their personalities, or their quirks. Texas does have its own culture. That is what I mean. Someone may have a Texas address, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are Texan in spirit.Edit: I should clarify that being Texan doesn’t mean being a republican, either. I’m talking about Texas values. IP: Logged |

Texas values are determined by Texans. The Texans are changing. As the Texans change, so do the values.

That's true. But remember that people escaping from Kalifornia aren't likely to vote for the same crap they escaped from. IP: Logged |
