Refer to the 22nd Amendment.Republicans would need to win the House and Senate, but certainly possible since Americans see how corrupt the media and big tech are. IP: Logged |

I don't think he would be willing to submit. But he'd be the best one the USA ever had. IP: Logged |

I don't think 3, 4, or 5 terms as President is a Constitutional matter. I believe a 2 term limit was established by Congress after FDR. IP: Logged |

It isn't constitutional. No way. When he goes there, you should all be saying "no".IP: Logged |

Even the Arabs are wanting him to win because of the recent peace deals. Both Israelis and Arabs at the same time. He could be the most known President in the history of the USA for making peace. No wonder why the establishment wants him out. IP: Logged |

I say keep him in there until he kicks the bucket.More peace, less soldier deaths. Less overall death. IP: Logged |

Pass. We must respect the rules of our governmental institutions as laid out in the constitution, no matter how exceptional or wonderful a president may potentially be. The only constitutional amendments I would support are to impose term limits on the House (not Senate, as we need senior lawmakers for balance), and to standardize the number of Supreme Court justices. What’s far more imperative is fostering likeminded spirit, and encouraging more to enter representative positions. America is a country of many. We ditched the idea of a singular leader, because its key failing is the power void left behind when that figure inevitably disappears. Representation is flexible, and is perpetually pliant to the will of the people. Our forefathers were brilliant. I would not stand behind bending the rules, even for an undeniable saint. IP: Logged |

Coincidentally, Reagan's quote was shortly after Biden used the N-Word twice (see the Robert Byrd thread). It should be up to the people (electoral college) to vote for whom they want. It wasn't in the original constitution of the founding fathers. So it wouldn't be a big deal if they repealed it. It wouldn't be the first time to repeal an amendment to the constitution. ------------------------------------------ Nov. 29, 1987 REAGAN WANTS END OF TWO-TERM LIMIT President Reagan says that after leaving office he ''would like to start a movement'' to repeal the constitutional amendment that limits Presidents to two terms. Mr. Reagan, in a restatement of a past position, said the limitation interfered with the right of the people to ''vote for someone as often as they want to do.'' http://www.nytimes.com/1987/11/29/us/reagan-wants-end-of-two-term-limit.html

If a Democrat served more than two terms and a Republican didn't, then it is only fair for a Republican to serve more than two terms.IP: Logged |
