I think only the seniors need to be protected.

I'm pretty sure almost everyone will get Covid except for a few mountain hermits.

We should be encouraging herd immunity. After lockdowns end, the virus is still around.

Oh the mandates are coming, you can bet on it. It's the slow boiling of the frog in water. They put the squeeze slowly so you don't notice until it's too late.

They'll first try the soft approach to get you to take it - scaring you, shaming you, guilt tripping you, telling you it's your patriotic duty to take it (never mind that the "patriotism" that gets thousands of soldiers killed every year, seems to benefit only the elite & never the common people).

They will also get religious leaders to "urge" you to take it.

When the soft (manipulative) approach fails, meaning not enough people get it, then will come the mandates.

Biden is already saying it’s our “patriotic duty” to wear a mask.

I have to disagree Randall. That could kill my grandparents. The countries which took less measures in March are seeing a similar increase in cases to the rest of the world now. Although even Sweden did tell people to stay at home, socially distance, etc. They just didn't lock down. And they are still on a similar trajectory RE cases and deaths as the rest of the world.

Yeah, I think so too Secretgeek, that we will almost all get it at some point. But we definitely need to protect the same people who are at risk of serious disease from flu.

Oh for sure Linda, the psychological manipulation is well out there, and it's the people doing it to each other. I told someone in my work that I may decline the vaccine and she tried, but failed, to hide the contempt in her face.

I don't think they will make it mandatory. That would be unprecedented, at least here in the UK and would raise serious concerns from the people. However, they keep using the phrase 'unprecedented times' - it seems to be the go-to justification for any manner of extreme measures at the moment, so you may be right.

Every leader has been using this type of persuasion.

We are all on the same trajectory no matter what we do. Isolate those most susceptible as the virus attenuates. We shouldn't isolate the healthy. That's absurd.

I know what you are saying and on the one hand I agree, however, the problem is the minority of individuals who were thought to be 'healthy' and have died, despite being of fairly young age (under 65) with no recorded health conditions. This isn't just from the news, a colleague's nephew died, he was in his twenties with no health problems.
