In CA, strip clubs can remain open, but churches can’t. One church is defying this and being fined every Sunday. In NV, casinos can allow more people than churches can (only 50). The free exercise of religion is the most fundamental right we have. It’s time to resist. IP: Logged |

You can't compare the size of churches with bars. Bars has fewer number of people and social distancing can be easily implemented. Also Church members can meet online. The services are really non essential. They can worship kneeling on the floors of their home. Bar members can't drink online IP: Logged |

Did I say anything about bars? Bars are closing down. I said strip clubs and casinos. Strip clubs were allowed to remain open based on a First Amendment free expression argument. If that is strong enough to defeat a “compelling government interest,” then so does religious freedom. You can’t pick out pieces of the First Amendment.IP: Logged |

Sigh. It is decisions such as these that confuse the public and make personal decision-making more complicated than it needs to be.IP: Logged |

I have yet to see any strip clubs without bars. And why are we comparing , religious amendment with the first? Are you suggesting the Elites are suggesting stop worshipping your Gods. They are the new Gods on whose mercy we all live. WOrship them and the system? Many jobless and broke desperate to survive. Many can't keep their homes . Hence I was against Fascism in the first place. The president invites American companies to make vaccines. But cannot invite American companies to make vote counting machines? Give me a break. Election has been stolen since ages. The Elites determines who keeps stability in the world and decides the next prez. IP: Logged |

Allow me to educate you. Just because a strip club has a bar doesn’t make it a bar. It is a strip club. Just like a restaurant might serve alcohol, but it is not a bar. Further, many strip clubs do not serve alcohol. Depending upon the state, strippers cannot get fully nude if alcohol is served. The argument is that it is a form of artistic expression and thus free speech. The comparison that you seem to be lacking context in is that free speech and freedom of religion are both contained in the First Amendment. IP: Logged |

I heard of a case where church members got around this by holding services in a casino. IP: Logged |

Well , in New York, the supreme court concurs with you and struck down on restrictions. California will follow it I hope.Seriously ,strip club is a form of artistic expression? So why did the republican mayor in new york city ( I believe it was Giuliani) who shutdown male nudity clubs? Many democrats are ****** since . IP: Logged |

It depends on the state. Strippers sued in GA when legislators tried to eliminate all nude dancing. They won under the First Amendment. Then legislators took away liquor licenses unless they wore pasties and g-strings.IP: Logged |

I smell a rat. Just doesn’t seem genuine. That’s why social media is so bad for influencing people, on both sides of the fence. IP: Logged |

Their account was suspended, but I’ve seen things like this from others who were genuine. I look these things up, when I’m not having to do something else. I’m wary, too. Not as easily influenced as some might think. IP: Logged |

I am quite an avid reader of the Bible, and respect Gnostic Christianity a lot [derived from early Christians harassed as Heretics by the Catholic Church]There is just no mandate from Scripture to pack and fill Churches, especially during a Pandemic. If this is construed as an attack on Churches/Mosques/Synagogues, then such Churches/Mosques/Synagogues are attacking Humanity. This is Mischief to spread more COVID19 using religion as an excuse. South Dakota and North Dakota are a wake up call. Those two Deep Scarlet States are suffering beyond average despite wide open spaces and sparse population density and months to prepare. If Orthodox Mecca and Medina Mosques can make adjustments, then other places of Worship can adjust too for a few months. IP: Logged |

That’s cool. It was a general observation.
I just think that it’s so easy for people to put out misinformation on social media. Subsequently, I see both parties bringing it into these forums. It’s messy.

Not sure to be honest teasel, I’m pretty indifferent to these sorts of things over social media. Your first link: the first few replies were appalling, that’s as far as I got.
