So, with 2 years notice to produce a report under the 45 day rule after an election, the intelligence community stalled and missed their deadline.

This executive order is designed to report on who meddled in US elections.

What are they trying to hide?

Apparently, someone found a gateway into US systems through SolarWinds software. Who did it? Since I'm in no position to know, I'll presume Pompeo has good information.

But, this thread isn't about a hack of American institutions. It's about Executive Orders requiring a report from the IC regarding who...foreign party or parties, illegally meddled in the 2020 election. Those Executive Orders came out of the Obama and Trump administrations and, they lay out a course of action to follow. It's also about why there's foot dragging from the intelligence community. What are they trying to hide?

I doubt Haspel will keep her job until Jan 20th. Ditto for Christopher Wray. Keeping a low profile probably won't save their jobs.

Trump is a lot more patient than I am. I would have cleaned the CIA and FBI down through at least 2 and perhaps 3 layers of management a long time ago. Those who aren't corrupt are worthless and not getting the job done.

But, the killer is waiting until 2 days before an Executive Order mandated report is due before announcing they're not going to meet the 45 day dead line. Color them gone!
