I'm not sure if President Trump is talking about this, but here's a new conservative friendly Facebook style platform opening up:

Remember, it may seem righteous to rail against "censorship," but cults and Fascist regimes are built on messaging. Propaganda is powerful. Any Nazi well tell you. Putin will tell you that as well.

Examine what you read and what you think. The "leftist" mainstream media is NOT getting it all wrong (no matter how you wish to believe). Run the news story you WANT to believe across Reuters and the Associated Press to see how well your story squares with reality. These entities still have journalistic standards. A huge segment of media on the Right does not adhere to any such standards.
Twitter and YouTube are not reliable sources of news. They are potentially tools of propaganda by anyone who wields them in that manner.

Be wary of the idea that a person's belief is enough to establish fundamental reality. I've seen people berate others for believing the news over believing their interpretation of events. One cannot self-inform. One can analyze for sure, but the data has to be good.

Realize that the government administers the law. They're tied together. You can't have one without the other, and the lack of either is anarchy. Dwell on this.

This means liberals, who love the government, also love the law.
This also means conservatives, who can hate the government, can also hate the law.

You are much more institutionally valued by the Left than you are by the Right. The Left wants you to have opportunities. The Right wants you to maintain your advantages. The Left wants you to have access to education. The Right regularly seeks to undermine education.

I say all of this as a warning. Be reasonable and take care that you support the right things.

There is no "Freedom of Speech" permissible for Fascist's Hate Speech who seek to end Humanity.

However, I would love a
Platform" exclusive for Fascists and Neo-Nazis which they think is impregnable so that FBI can have an easy time locating the Domestic Terrorists.

For now, I think Twitter should not have fully suspended Trump's Account until Jan 20th.

What if there is a genuine emergency not related to politics, but say Yellowstone Caldera or something, and Trump needs to inform as many people about precautions as possible?

The left wants only power. The fact that you cannot see that is so unbelievable. Both parties love power, but the Dems have been taken over by the far left fringe. It was the Republicans who voted for the Civil Rights Acts. The Dems were too busy wearing their white hoods. Facts. The Republicans were founded in 1854 as the anti-slavery party. So, let's not wax philosophical about opportunities.

And actually, hate speech is protected speech. The Supreme Court has spoken. If we don't have free speech for speech we disagree with, no matter how unsavory, then speech is not free.

i don't think we should praise censorship

silencing voices is never a good thing on a larger scale, only the people it serves praise it but if sides were flipped they would see an issue

you shouldn't have to be the one who's silenced to see a problem with massive censorship

AG is pro censorship. But I bet he wouldn't be if he were the target of it. And there's that Hitler/Nazi narrative again that fake news networks indoctrinated him to say. I dub thee: The king of Hypocrites.

I’d forgotten that Belage told me to stop getting my panties into a bunch, when Whitmer could have been kidnapped and executed.

Quit getting your panties into a bunch, trump supporters. Everything’s fine, right?

Her newsletter from yesterday was taken down, and that usually happens because someone is offended, and reports it. You guys clutching your pearls over the truth.

But I'm sharing, because substack was yet another idea - unless he goes ahead and breaks the rules there, too.

I appreciate that my words have impact.

quote:
The left wants only power.

False. The Right wants only power. That's why the Left in Washington tends to represent millions more voters than the Right does. It's completely lopsided and often down to gerrymandering.

quote:
Both parties love power, but the Dems have been taken over by the far left fringe.

Demonstrably false. We just voted in the furthest Right guy in our packed field.

quote:
It was the Republicans who voted for the Civil Rights Acts.

Maybe you need to read up on it: https://www.senate.gov/artandhistory/history/common/generic/CivilRightsAct1964.htm The way you're representing it is false.

But, moreover, what have you guys done since? What rights have you expanded?
Were you there for minority communities, or was it Democrats that shepherded in laws about hate crimes? Did you try to get a handle on medical costs, or was it Democrats who actually passed something insuring MILLIONS more people were insured? How about gay marriage? Did you guys do anything there? The Defense of Marriage Act was signed by George W. Bush. Immediately following, it was in Obama's administration that gay marriage became legal.

Tell me, in these last four years, is hate crime up by chance? Oh, it is? That's not liberals. That's Trump supporters.

quote:
The Dems were too busy wearing their white hoods. Facts. The Republicans were founded in 1854 as the anti-slavery party. So, let's not wax philosophical about opportunities.

Who does the KKK proudly support? Who do the white supremecists support?

quote:
you shouldn't have to be the one who's silenced to see a problem with massive censorship

True. Thank goodness I live on the side that's in actual reality and not some made-up conspiracy that requires silencing.

quote:
It's both righteous and quintessentially American to rail against the censorship of authoritarian regimes.

Which the far Right seems to be. Which is why all these Twitter accounts are being voided. Which is why Google and Apple are removing Parler. The war on disinformation may be under way because your side went too far.

quote:
AG is pro censorship. But I bet he wouldn't be if he were the target of it. And there's that Hitler/Nazi narrative again that fake news networks indoctrinated him to say. I dub thee: The king of Hypocrites.

Obvious nonsense. You're right. I would hate it if it were happening to me. I live in reality. I don't go in for fake stuff. You know that no one "indoctrinates" me, but we can all clearly see that people here have been indoctrinated, that they've lost touch with that which is literally true. We're having this conversation for YOUR benefit.

Actually I am glad.

Trump should have left Twitter back when he joined Parler last year. Instead of posting on Parler, he continued to give Twitter the juice and interest it didn't deserve, and the glee of censoring him whenever they wanted like a father disciplining an unruly child.

I would say to Trump, move on, there will be other platforms that will rise to the occasion. And I would suggest half of the country who supported him get off Twitter too. Let twitter become the echo chamber it wants to be.

No one I know who comes from a dictatorship regime or has lived under dictature is equating Trump to a dictator. Ask the cubans and the Russians who fled to the US, the Chinese who have fled mainstream China and now CCP dominated Hong Kong.

All of them know what true dictatorship is like and they can tell that the media's assault on democracy and freedom of expression is odly reminiscent of the regime they left in their native lands.

I have a Romanian immigrant friend who texts once a week pleading with me to buys guns and move away from the city because he has "seen this all before"

Had HW and academia spent 1/10th the time churning out Communist takeover stories as they have Nazi, more of us might see what's happening.

Yep, most people who moved here from the Eastern bloc, they know what the deal is. They recognize that beast because they've seen it before.

We have gotten very complacent here in the US and never thought it could happen here in that insidious fashion. We all thought it could happen thru forceful invasion or warfare, never thru this insidious slow boiling of the frog manner.

We have a fairly high-profile conservative immigrant with a perspective on this:
