Some messages referenced theories that a coup was going to take place before the end of Inauguration Day. Others moved the goalposts again, speculating that Trump would be sworn into office on Mar. 4.

“Does anybody have any idea what we should be waiting for next or what the next move could be?” asked another user, who said they wanted to have a ‘big win’ and arrests made.

Jared Holt, a disinformation researcher at the Atlantic Council, said he had never before seen disillusionment in the QAnon communities he monitors at this scale.

“It’s the whole ‘trust the plan’ thing. Q believers have just allowed themselves to be strung from failed promise to failed promise.”

“The whole movement is called into question now.”

It is part of a concerted repressive disinformation effort. If you label Trump supporters white supremacists, you can legally deprive them of first amendment right, freedom of speech, you can legally censor and deplatform them, all the while wrapping yourself in the virtuous flag of anti-fascim and defender of democracy.

But it does not stop there. Eventually, you can advocate for them to be fired and lose their livelyhood. This phase has already started. The goal is to get them to shut up, to be docile and follow the program. If they won't submit, then their total destruction becomes fair game.

I have no idea if those who are parroting this tactic are doing so willfully or out of ignorance of the consequences of their words. Only God knows what's in their hearts.

Kind of like Trump using pizzagate/q to rile up people susceptible to things like that, in order to get votes from people who would never have chosen him otherwise. Who would want to vote for satan-worshipping, baby-eating pedophiles? It’s sick that some people hated Hillary so much, that they would believe such idiocy. He also had no plans to deal with coronavirus, and to help us, but he knew that if he shouted about freedom and rights, you would line up and scream with him, and even agree that people should die for the economy. He knew that if he went on about those unable to attend church *in person* you would get distracted and angry enough to demand that they be opened up again.
