It's both funny and extremely sad the amount of vitriol a percentage of people, and many from the left/liberal side, spewed at him for just stating facts of his own experience.

There are some people that are under some serious cognitive dissonance with this whole thing and especially the corporate media narrative of same. It's almost like deep, deep down, unconsciously, some part of them knows that they are being somewhat lied to/manipulated to some extent, and really, really, really don't want to face this harsh truth consciously. So when someone or something pokes a hole in their now core belief system, it's like poking a hornet's nest.

Though, to maintain balance, I've seen this same thing with the right re: Trump and how much of a false pedestal he is put on. Similar dynamic going on.
