While I don't necessarily agree with/condone the events of that day in particular, I should note that government should, ideally, be afraid of the people. We should be more like France in that regard. But Americans have largely become apathetic, fearful, unable to self sacrifice for a larger cause, etc. But above all, we've become too divided and polarized by a silly, largely illusionary two party system. The wizard of Oz construct has not yet been seen by enough for what it really is; a tool of manipulation. IP: Logged |
