Can we all put away the pretense and return to normal life now?

I had a dream a couple of nights ago that normal life was back. I was wearing my mask, then noticed everyone around me was maskless, laughing and interacting without social distancing. I was so elated and at the same time puzzled and wondering, did people really stop wearing masks just like that?

And then I woke up...
