Where are the flying cars we were all expecting in the 21st century? Well, over 20 companies are now working on creating flying car designs that can take off and land vertically. The cars are expected to roll out by 2040. The market is projected to be $850 billion by Morgan Stanley. I always thought it would be impossibly dangerous the way people already drive on the ground, but with self-driving technology, we could see highways in the sky. Science fiction finally becomes science fact in 19 years. Can you imagine the government regulation involved? Massive! Would you fly around in a self-driven flying car? I think I’ll keep my feet and my car on the ground. Much less traffic to deal with. And all the cops will be in the sky. Unless the cars are prohibited from exceeding certain speeds by their programming. Or would there even be speed limits? Talk about ruining a good sunset view!
