There were 978,000 new jobs expected, but only 266,000 were created. There are 7.4 million job openings, and only 266,000 people got one. That's what happens when you pay people $900 a week not to work. IP: Logged |

There were 7 million more people working this time last year. Socialist policies don't drive the creation of jobs. Capitalism does. Less taxation, less regulation, and less litigation equals more innovation and more job creation. IP: Logged |

I think they pay people $600 a week, not $900. Still, that's way more than or the same amount of money many of these workers used to make showing up for work fulltime. So it's not surprising they don't want to go back to work. I wouldn't either. IP: Logged |

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure the new bill added an extra $300 to it per week. IP: Logged |

It’s even higher in some states. In New Jersey, it’s $1,000 a week not to work. IP: Logged |

Well darn it! Now I understand why so many people are seemingly enjoying lockdown and want it to continue. It has nothing to do with fear of the virus. lol Which puts the Biden administration in a bind. If they stop paying people to not work, these people will turn on them.
