Dem Representative, Cori Bush, is trying to get us to call mothers "birthing people," as if all a mother is reduced to is a birthing receptacle. IP: Logged |

Right. Sure you have. Now you’re getting into delusional territory. Trump supporters are the antithesis of the woke mob. IP: Logged |

A mother is the word. And no one should stop saying it. IP: Logged |

*Mother* is a word too closely associated with ciswomen. This is unfair and hurtful to mtf persons who also can be pregnant, give birth, menstruate, etc Until that connection is broken, 'birthing person' is preferred. C'mon man!IP: Logged |

Well I will continue to refer to "mothers" as "mothers" What an insult to try and call the 1 person who loves us more than any other person could, unconditionally, something so informal and generic. I don't care if it is PC or not. It's insane to even propose such nonsense. Like don't we have bigger problems? Do we really need to replace the word mother with something stupid & laughable? Geez I never thought I'd ever even have to think about something so ridiculous... Why is everyone so fragile that they base their own self worth on society acknowledging them belonging to some group or holding some label as if that matters. IP: Logged |

I am not 100% sure if you are serious or if this is just you joking. I think it's funnier if you are being serious.
I've got no hate for Trans parents. They are every bit parents as any one else. But c'mon man. They are free to refer to themselves as moms, dads..birthing people.. w/e they want, more power to them. But trying to force society to cave to their insecurities by calling all mothers "birthing people" because it hurts someones feelings. No one uses the word mother to be hurtful to them or anything malicious. Seriously though, if there is actually people suffering emotionally from this to the point the actually feel they need to intervene. Forget about REAL pain & REAL suffering, someone's fragile psyche is bruised, let's focus on that. THAT hurts MY feelings! Where is my parade? Regardless what gender, they have no business procreating & raising children if they are that fragile. I really have no more patience for this level of ignorance in people. Especially when they feel humanity would benefit from there being more of them. IP: Logged |

Happy belated Birthing Person’s Day, everyone! Not that I give a flying **** what anyone calls it, but as far as I’m concerned, the process of pregnancy and childbirth is, in fact, the only reliable, across-the-board distinction between a mother and a father. When I hear men talking about how motherhood is the hardest job on Earth, I kind of want to puke and cry and kick things. But that’s just me... I had major postpartum depression that didn’t even begin to ease up until my youngest son was at least a year old, and as much as I want to, I’ve honestly never quite managed to bond with him in the same way as his older siblings. So, yeah... the weeks around Mother’s Day and his birthday are usually nothing but a massive, pointless, absurd self-imposed guilt-fest for me, and his father’s idealistic notion of what a mother-child relationship *should* be like has made it infinitely worse. Just sayin’... when I was a little kid, I thought it was totally normal to get a day off school for Lee-Jackson-King Day.IP: Logged |

I will celebrate Father's Day on the 20th of June exactly the same way as I celebrated Mother's Day, honoring and thanking the Men of this place here, their Fathers, whoever they are-good or not good and every Man and Father in the world.IP: Logged |

Good for republicans who voted against $500 per month for pregnant women. Pregnancy is not a disease or illness. IP: Logged |
