Wearing masks during Flu Seasons, and IF you're having to be out in public with a bad cold?I once caught a horrible flu when someone behind me on a crowded bus sneezed into my hair. By instinct I smoothed the back of my hair, and FROM that, probably touched my face! If you have a compromised immune system, it's a GREAT idea! They've been doing that in the Orient for a while... I used to see some Asians walking around our town {tourist town} wearing their masks BEFORE Covid was ever on the scene.  People who test positive on TB Skin Tests wear masks until they are medically cleared. 
It protects OTHERS while letting them do their necessary errands in town. Excellent Idea!    IP: Logged |

Masks don’t work against viruses. A virus is too small. It’s like a chain link fence stopping a water hose. A mask would be effective against TB, which is a bacterium and which is highly contagious, yet there was never a mask mandate until Covid.IP: Logged |

I am growing so tired of this boy in the bubble mentality. It's flaccid and fear based. If you live in the the sort of place, or find yourself in the sort of temporary circumstance wear wearing a mask seems prudent to you, by all means. The issue here is imposed corporate and/or state regulation. See the difference? Let me help ...
1) self agency. ie *I* chose to wear a mask based on my individual situation
2) unaccountable and often anonymous powers employ one size fits all laws forcing me to wear a mask, or else IP: Logged |

I’ve just seen someone talking about anti-maskers now choosing to wear a mask, when they will be around vaccinated people. So they were fine potentially giving covid to people, but don’t want to take their chances around those who are vaccinated. Over the weekend, a “truther” was harassing a woman after using a picture of her little girl in a mask, to spread her anti-mask BS propaganda. Insanity. IP: Logged |
