Can't read those! .. The second link has WAY too many pop-ups.So yeah...
It's about the money and expense of an infected SHIP. Here in Florida, several cruise lines are saying they are NOT going to stop in Florida Ports 'because' of Gov's taking all restrictions off, and, the personal non-compliance rate with vaccines AND masking. the rate of infections here is awful. I know of a couple who came here to do business at the Attractions. They didn't have Covid when they came. After they got HOME???, they BOTH tested positive. They had become infected, and had to go into quarantine. All it takes to close-down a WHOLE SHIP of vacationers are a couple of people, LYING and saying they are vaccinated. The Ship has to go through that EXPENSE of furloughing business for a while. They INFECT people! Vaccines are not 100% (for covid).
You can still get it, even 'when' you've had all your shots. There are folks who 'cannot' have a vaccine due to 'medical' reasons {allergy to ingredients, etc}. It will take a while for them to be able to feel free. We would have to have a GOOD grip on immunity of most of the population, for them to be able to move about town. Passports or Documents proving Immunity are a GREAT Idea.
Saves on anxiety & stress, money, health-costs, and human lives.

@mirage,People are quick to believe that Covid vaccines provides immunity. But they are quick to forget that infection also provides immunity. Yes, if you have been infected and you survived (like most people who have been infected), guess what, you now have immunity! That is how your body works. So high rate of infection means the population is soon to reach natural HERD IMMUNITY! Which is currently the goal the health authorities want, after poopooing it in the beginning. As for cruise lines, I can see how this is putting them in a pickle, but do ships really have to close if someone comes down with Covid? For the vaccinated, what are they worrying about if someone on the ship gets Covid? Either these covid vaccines work and protect them or they don't. Supposedly they do, so there is no need for the vaccinated to go into quarantine. For the unvaccinated wanting to go on a cruise, they need to be willing to sign a waiver. If they get infected, they will have to quarantine. But the rest of the ship doesn't have to. IP: Logged |
