The CDC admits that only about 6% of supposed covid 19 deaths were caused by covid 19 virus alone. They've even lumped in people who died in auto accidents and from gunshot wounds...because those people were covid 19 positive when they died. They died WITH covid 19, not FROM covid 19. You must be one of the few left who believe much of anything coming out of the CDC. And Belange is right. Hospitals listing patients as covid deaths get a much higher payout from the government. I believe the number is more than $37,000..if covid 19 is listed on the death certificate. IP: Logged |

It’s not so much about the policies of the government but rather about citizens who can see beyond themselves and actually follow the rules for a common good. It’s not a government you wear a mask for, but for people, like frontline workers who are at risk. And I’m not just relying on their self reporting but first hand accounts from friends who live there. China is messed up in many ways, but implying it’s completely devoid of any positive qualities worth emulating? You’re showing your extremely biased hand there, bud. And if you trump voting, mayo on white bread eating bigots are deciding who is the authority, I’d rather not be considered one. 👋 IP: Logged |

it's not so much about the policies of this genocidal, imperialistic, racist behemoth of a nation but about how the innocent souls living under its jackboot are forced to conform to undemocratic edicts. yeah that sounds good lol You write this crap and manage to sleep at night? Impressive. Also when you're done making excuses for genocide and prison camps, take a minute to rethink the tired racial slurs. Or maybe just take your fascist self elsewhere. IP: Logged |

Let us put aside the sermonizing and let us use our little grey cells. -- Florida was lax when it comes to masking and allowed businesses to continue functioning. Everyone criticized DeSantis and said he was crazy or careless. -- California closed most businesses early on and was very strict with masks. Newsom ruled with an iron hand and was praised for it. If the media was so right, one state should be drowning in Covid, while the other should be smooth sailing. Well, chew on this recent Newsweek article: Florida Sees Same COVID Case Rate as California, Despite No Statewide Restrictions https://www.newsweek.com/florida-sees-same-covid-case-rate-cali fornia-despite-no-statewide-restrictions-1576211 IP: Logged |

It’s nice to meet you! Thank goodness, I agree. I’m glad that I don’t fit in here. I’m wearing my mask for others, because I don’t know who has been vaccinated. Children under twelve, still can’t be vaccinated. I haven’t been yet, because I put it off (health reasons), but I plan to be. Anyone telling me to stop wearing my mask, will be told where they can go, and what they can do with themselves. IP: Logged |

I missed what prompted this comment, but remember the white supremacist who was in office until January 20th of this year? Remember those who marched more than once, and tried to overthrow the government? It was all quite disgusting, tbh. IP: Logged |

My gums were swollen, I have a toothache, I had a fever over the weekend. A friend said she didn’t blame me for putting it off, because my body was already fighting an infection. Use the other word, I don’t care - I expect it from almost everyone here. I don’t go around telling people to wear a mask, and they’d better not come for me when I’m wearing mine. I’m fine with vaccine passports. We’re in a pandemic. IP: Logged |

You saw an explanation. If it made sense, can you articulate it? Because you know, it's not about mindlessly parroting the pitiful excuses the media is concocting to save its ass after having whipped people into a paranoid frenzy for more than a year now. Not saying people should not be afraid in a pandemic, of course they should be afraid, but the level of fearmongering the media engaged in DAILY for months while pretending to follow science is truly revolting.

That same toothache/gum issue you've had since the first week of April? ETA: You're better than me. No way I would be putting up with a toothache infection for so long. IP: Logged |

A friend of mine in Tennessee, said that she went to her favourite place for a break, hoping to feel better, and she ended up feeling worse, because people have decided that the updated guidelines mean that we can just breathe over each other now, and that isn’t the case. She’s vaccinated, but her mum has an illness that has kept her somewhat isolated, even before covid, and her children can’t be vaccinated yet. IP: Logged |

I see. So you are implying Florida is drowning in Covid with hospitals overflowing with dying and dead people, but somehow, hospitals are turning down the extra Covid diagnostic money and lying about the numbers?!? That's the best you can come up with? Try again, teasel. You are talking to people who actually use their brains here. We should steal the title from Al Gore and rename Florida, An Inconvenient Truth. IP: Logged |

Just because you two love living in fear doesn’t mean the rest of have to. You can wear a mask while alone in the shower if you want to. But society is putting that behind us. IP: Logged |

No, I don't "live in fear" of the virus; I just want to be part of the solution, not the problem. I don't feel like the "government controls me.” I feel like I'm an adult contributing to the security in our society and I want to teach others the same. If we could all live with the consideration of others in mind, the whole world would be a much better place. Wearing a mask doesn't make me weak, scared, stupid or even "controlled.” It makes me caring and responsible. IP: Logged |

I think you...like many others who are controlled by their emotions...are looking for the word 'VIRTUOUS'. IP: Logged |

No, I'm not particularly virtuous and I don't think what I said is virtue signaling. Being a citizen comes with certain perks and certain responsibilities. This is the bare minimum. And it certainly doesn't make me a good person. As opposed to you guys who deny the science behind covid deaths and mask usage, instead relying on absurd conspiracy theories such as hospitals making more money from covid deaths (read this: https://www.factcheck.org/2020/04/hospital-payments-and-the-covid-19-death-count/ ) or twisting facts like with the 6% figure (read this: https://www.livescience.com/covid-19-comorbidities.html) But sure, I'M the one being led by emotions. I'm curious, if you were to believe that covid is serious ie life threatening and that wearing a mask could prevent it from spreading would you wear them then? Or would there be a whole different barrage of excuses? ------------------ “The truth was a mirror in the hands of God. It fell, and broke into pieces.
