I live in a major blue city and you guys are right.
Going to work gives me anxiety.Being at work gives me anxiety.Going home gives me anxiety.Going to the supermarket,the store,anywhere.I’ve spent so much on Ubers because I don’t like taking public transportation. I won’t even take my daughter to the park after 12 pm.The crime isn’t as high here as some other blue states but it has gotten higher and the energy is different.I definitely don’t feel safe. You don't know some of the places I've lived, in the past. Plus, I've left my home even less in the past year, because I didn't want to be around covid-deniers. I wouldn't want to be in a place like Florida, no matter how pretty it is, at the moment, because it's like one huge germ. I don’t feel safe in red states, around people who think that a gun will solve every problem. In local groups, there are people who talk like that, whenever someone has an issue. Or around people who think they can arrest and/ or execute women who have abortions. In this red state, we still have a loophole that states men can rape their spouses if they need sex, and the spouse is incapacitated in some way (unable to say yes or no). We are talking about a poll concerning how Biden is handling crime. Do pay attention. Much of what you said about red states is utter nonsense. Anti-gun enthusiasts are now buying guns. That’s how bad it is getting. That is the issue that will tilt the scale in 2022.IP: Logged |

Blue states aren’t gun free…most criminals get their guns through illegal means.People in these types of places will hurt/shoot if they think you looked at them the wrong way.A woman was shot and killed in my sister’s neighborhood over an argument over music.Red states began making those abortion laws when blue states began making it legal to have an abortion up until a woman’s due date and then taking away a newborns rights to get medical attention if it survives the abortion.Leaving the mother with the option of still “aborting” after the baby has been born.Disturbing.
