Biden and his commie pals are embarrassing.
In the past, both the Biden administration and their commie pals have tried to cover up the fact that Cubans are protesting their murderous Communist government. They said...Cubans were protesting Covid 19.

They still won't say Cubans are protesting Communism. Just one group of Communists looking out for the interests of other Communists.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki declined to blame communism for the current unrest in Cuba on Wednesday, when asked by Peter Doocy of Fox News whether communism was the reason that people might want to flee Cuba for the U.S.

The context of Doocy’s question was a previous query about a statement Tuesday by Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas that Cubans and Haitians should not come to the U.S. by sea — though the administration is making illegal entry easier through the southern land border with Mexico.

The following exchange occurred during Wednesday’s White House press briefing:

Doocy: As the administration tries to figure out the “root causes” of migration to the country, don’t we know that the reason people want to leave Cuba is because they don’t like communism?

Psaki: We–

Doocy: And so as you’re trying to figure out, like, what the processes are for these people who want to leave Cuba, is —

Psaki: Well, I’m not sure what your question is.

Doocy: You guys have spent a lot of time —

Psaki: why are people leaving Cuba, or what is the process for them getting here? I can explain either of them, but you tell me.

Doocy: Sure, yeah. Do you think people are leaving Cuba because they don’t like communism ?...........

On the subject of Cuba, isn't it past due time the US lift the sanctions against the country?

If we can embrace communist China and do major business with it and have practically everything in our house Made in China, what is the rationale again to continue imposing sanctions on this little struggling country?

The Left has argued consistently, since the days of Elian Gonzalez (bonus pts if you recall that name), that Cuban unrest and emigration is a direct result not of communism but of US trade restrictions. It's a convenient way of blaming the Great Satan.

In fact, the Left has glorified the supposedly small scale, post Soviet communism of Cuba since the USSR's demise.

One fav old talking point was organic gardening.

Yeah, I get bonus points for remembering the US government snatched Elian Gonzalez from his relatives home...at gunpoint...in Maimi and returned him to Cuba.

Now, you can earn bonus points if you remember who directed that operation so many years ago and later became a high federal government official. Hint for leftists. It wasn't Donald Trump!

Btw, organic gardening is fine but let's not give Cubans too much credit for 'organic gardening'. Chemical fertilizers are scarce in Cuba and unaffordable to most citizens. So, it's organic gardening or try to grow food in infertile soil.

They want vaccines. That’s part of what they’re protesting for.

I'm all for organic gardening. Most people are, which makes it a fine talking point. I mean what kind of a boorish capitalist pig must you be to rail on organic jalapenos, right?
And there's the rub. Capitalism. Or the lack thereof. ie When we forcefully restrain capitalism in favor of the common good, wonderful things like organic jalapenos are the inevitable result. Cuba is proof.

And bicycles. Don't forget the bicycles.

Sometimes the people just need to be (forcibly) shown the way.
