This has caused me to ponder about the nature of human beings.

Under the right circumstances, a great number of people can turn into authoritarian fascists..

The "right" circumstances are the intense fear generated by the media's relentless headlines and shows about Covid. Fear is a primal emotion, we need it in order to stay away from the tiger or the snake, and the media has used this primal emotion to sell the agenda of those who have spent the past few years systematically buying or giving money to mainstream outlets.
