* rescue dogs killed to prevent shelter workers from leaving their homes to care for them

*24,000 kids herded into a arena for vaccinations, guarded by police, no parents allowed

*Hotlines to call in family and neighbors for breaking curfew or attending protests

*military patrolling city streets

*$1000 fines for being caught outside "for no good reason"

*police manhunt for citizen accused of nothing more than being covid positive

* Police "forced" to use weapons on unarmed protestors

Is Australia even salvageable?

Also, if anyone on the right is still operating under the delusion that the thin blue line is in your corner, please dissuade yourself of that foolishness asap.

Historical precedent tells us many if not most will slide willingly into compliance with a tyrannical state and its unreasonable, immoral dictates, but still sucks to watch it go down in real time.

Ok, seems like this is probably what M.M. was talking about. Thank you for the run down. I've mostly been avoiding news and media of late.

Don't worry, coming to a theater near you soon (unless you live in France?).

Meanwhile, the Australian government is apparently showing the world what it was always truly--a more tightly controlled branch of the former British empire, with no qualms trying to break its "naughty" population with force. The origin of an energy and archetype has a continued effect on the trajectory of same?

Some people think that America usurped Britain in becoming the world's foremost superpower and empire...well things are not always as they seem. On the surface, yes, America did.

But when you understand that certain influences never left America, that sort of originated in Britain, then you understand the two still go together like peas and carrots.

Cough, cough bank of england. One of the oldest organizations of the psychopathic plutocrats. And boy how did it meddle in American affairs well after Britain the nation conceded its lands.

Jackson was a giant prick and racist of a dude, but the one good thing he did in his life, was to keep the foreign banks from completely over taking America during his time. And then naive, starry eyed Wilson let them right back in. And it's gone down hill ever since.

The day that America died, and we were singing, bye, bye, Miss American pie, drove my chevy to the levy, but the levy was dry. Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing, this was the day that it died, this was the day that it died.

(And some thought that Covid, or China, or Trump, or Biden, or whatever was the death of America..)

Geez, Shura, I'm beginning to think that we are truth/sarcasm twin souls or something.

Yes, the British Empire is no more but the Anglo American societies are still in control and long have been, under the radar.
eg Some like to attribute the Bolshevik Revolution to Jews, and it is true they made up the bulk of the foot soldiers, but ofc it was the Anglos who made the call.

the government of South Australia, one of the country’s six states, developed and is now testing an app as Orwellian as any in the free world to enforce its quarantine rules. People in South Australia will be forced to download an app that combines facial recognition and geolocation. The state will text them at random times, and thereafter they will have 15 minutes to take a picture of their face in the location where they are supposed to be. Should they fail, the local police department will be sent to follow up in person. “We don’t tell them how often or when, on a random basis they have to reply within 15 minutes,” Premier Steven Marshall explained. “I think every South Australian should feel pretty proud that we are the national pilot for the home-based quarantine app.”

And I can't wait until the hypocritical GOP turn around and use any more covid deaths against the Democrats, after railing against any kind of restrictions, since early last year.

America and the UK have always been allies, even after the temper tantrum with tea.

Let's just let people die. What a pledge for the American people. Just so long as we can eat in restaurants, go to the movies, or inflict ourselves on anyone who can't avoid it, because: capitalism, and selfishness.

I suppose in the grand scheme of things, these events 'just are'. Politics has to be one of the most unsuccessful societal concepts yet. Right behind organised religion. Both these cults cause more harm than good. And decade upon decade we are faced with the same problems in different jackets. Core issues at the individual level of fear, envy, narcissism, greed. Same old, boring story. I don't think our problems are fixable within our current faulty systems and the faulty beliefs they perpetuate. There is no messiah for me, the type of people who turn the public on are the last people you'd want in power, so even democracy can't work.

But what do I know. I'm not that bothered really, as long as I can walk in the wilds, and be creative. I'm selfish too.

Should the US be like South Australia then?

Maybe Americans should work on developing real health, rather than rely on pharmaceutical corporations to "save" them with quick fixes? But that would require discipline and self responsibility, and who wants/likes that?

Isn't it interesting that Covid is notoriously hard on the elderly, and yet the nation of Japan which has the highest percentage of elderly population in the world and had pretty soft mandates, has done so well?

Why is that? Maybe because they are holistically healthier? Nah, couldn't be, what you put in your body, being physically active or not, having better mindsets or not, etc actually affects immunity? Preposterous!

About 60% of Americans are fully vaccinated, so what gives, it's only the unvaccinated that are getting sick now? I'm not, and I've barely been sick at all in the last couple years. I take no extra precautions except when forced. Weird how that works. Shouldn't I be dead, or least have been severely sick by now?

Fear does funny things to people. Makes them believe in all kinds of things.

I’ve never worn a mask. I don’t social distance. I still shake hands. My friends and I hug each other. People I don’t know even hug me. My server yesterday hugged me. I am not taking the vaccine. Ever. Why am I not dead? Why am I not sick?

I've experienced some interesting turn of events and perhaps a little crow eating for some of my previous boasting.

This last Tuesday, my spouse, who is fully vaccinated started to come down with something. Early Wednesday morning her fever broke. Then Wednesday evening I started to feel off (I'm not vaccinated), and then early Thursday morning my fever broke. Neither of our symptoms were all that severe during the actual infection period, but ever since, we both have felt extremely tired/lethargic and drained. Sucks for sure, but again nothing extreme.

Yesterday, my spouse got a rapid antigen home test and it showed she is positive for Covid. Antigen tests tend to go to the false negative side whereas PCR tends towards the false positive since the latter is far more sensitive (actually over sensitive). It's very clear we had the same thing. The only difference in our symptoms is that my taste buds have gotten damped down and hers are fine.

I find it ironic that 1. she got sick before I did (when I think we were exposed to the same vector at the same time on Sunday) and 2. my symptoms, other than a loss in taste intensity/acuity, haven't been any more severe.

And I know why I got sick to begin with. I've been eating over acid of late, unlike usually. I recently found a new store that sells wild Alaskan pollock fish sticks for really cheap, and went a little crazy and bought a lot and have been eating flesh foods more than I normally do. Meats are quite acid forming. Every time I've gotten noticeably sick, I can link it back to such a pattern. The last time I got really, really sick, many years ago (it was quite bad, for example I passed out and fell head-back in the bathroom) I was eating a crap ton of smoked alaskan salmon.

If there was ever any doubt in the pointlessness of vaccines for myself, at least, it has been proven to me beyond a doubt. Also further supports my experience that eating more alkaline forming is one of, if not the best ways, to avoid getting sick to begin with.

I think the reason why both of our fevers broke so quickly is because I put us both through a hyper alkaline regiment. Literally from the time I first started feeling off to my fever breaking, was like 12 hrs. I will say that I am somewhat surprised at how lingering the lack of energy has been so far. It clearly did affect our bodies moderately, if not severely.

I could see where people having less healthy and balanced bodies might be affected more intensely, but then again, my wife hasn't done any better than myself with her full vaccination--and that's the important point and takeaway here. She's just a day ahead in the recouping/recovering than myself.

Do either of you take supplements? Even if you eat an entirely raw diet, commercialized fertilizer only replaces the few minerals needed to make plants look pretty and grow. Over time, the soil becomes deficient in other crucial minerals like selenium. Those who get sick from Covid usually have low D3 levels, and Zinc is required for immune function, so Covid infection uses up the body's zinc stores. That's likely why some people experience a loss of taste and/or smell (a sign of zinc deficiency).

Thank you as well for sharing, Belage. I think most pathogenic type micrograsims are by nature opportunistic. But yes, there was a similar case of imbalance beyond the norm going on for both of us.

Thank you for the tip, Randall. Yes, we do take some high quality supplements, but I probably could up my intake of zinc as I don't have a zinc specific one that we currently take. I think my food based "organic" multi vitamin that I occasionally take may have some zinc, but I don't think it's much.

I think that would be wise. People lose taste or smell unrelated to Covid--when zinc levels get low.

I totally agree with you on the thin blue line. The police by its very nature is not in your corner. Its job is to enforce whatever measures the establishment that is in power decrees. During times of democracy, the police can just focus on criminality and such, but in times of dictatures as we are in now, the police is going to be used as a tool to enforce the dictatorship.
