The Pentagon said Saturday morning at a briefing that as of August 14, about 117,000 people have been evacuated from Kabul, including 5,400 Americans.

That number is far short of the 11,000 Americans who were estimated to still be inside Afghanistan given by White House press secretary Jen Psaki last week.........

I think Cardin is the typical democrat LIAR. I think there are far more than a 'few hundred' US citizens in Afghanistan and I think they're desperate to get the hell out of Afghanistan. I also think Joe Blow has already made the decision to leave them in Afghanistan to be killed or become hostages to the Taliban.

This is the price for Joe Blow's photo op as he tells the world he ended the war in Afghanistan. Trying to take credit for Trump's real work in hammering out a withdrawal agreement with the Taliban...which Joe Blow promptly ripped up with disastrous results.

Lawmakers: State Department No Longer Allowing American Citizens to Enter Kabul Airport

Members of Congress said Sunday evening that the Biden administration was not allowing Americans to enter the Kabul airport and leave Afghanistan, as the evacuation mission nears its end by August 31.

Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) tweeted Sunday night that the State Department was not helping American citizens trying to evacuate.

“I am furious!! My team has been on the phone all day trying to get AMERICAN CITIZENS out. They have been just outside the airport numerous times, but the State Department WILL NOT help them,” he tweeted.

He added, “They have been beaten by the Taliban at check points and told to leave and come back with large sums of money. Biden is going to get them killed! Enough!! We have [to] put someone who gives a damn in charge RIGHT NOW!”........
