Had a gig with a client this morning who was a no show, so I have some extra free time on my hands. This list is from an article which I will link after. I do not agree with every point on said article and so I'm not posting every one of them. I will be adding some personalized comments of my own in [] below some of the points. Let's start getting specific! All the ways in which Trump did not live up to his campaign promises (aka the "great white hype"?):

"2. He said he won’t have time to play golf if elected president. But he has made more than 250 visits to his golf clubs since he took office—a record for any president—including more trips during the pandemic than meetings with Dr. Fauci. The total financial cost to America? More than $136 million.

3. He said he would repeal the Affordable Care Act, and replace it with something “beautiful.” It didn’t happen. Instead, seven million Americans have lost their health insurance since he took office. He has asked the Supreme Court to strike down the law in the middle of a global pandemic with no plan to replace it.
[I will say that I am glad that Trump did repeal that stupid tax penalty for people without health insurance. That is one of the better things he has done for the common people. People shouldn't be penalized for not being able to afford healthcare even so called "affordable" healthcare.]

4. He said he’d cut your taxes, and that the super-rich like him would pay more. He did the opposite. By 2027, the richest 1 percent will have received 83 percent of the Trump tax cut and the richest 0.1 percent, 60 percent of it. But more than half of all Americans will pay more in taxes.
[Birds of a feather certainly flock together, and Trump was a great example of that.]

5. He said corporations would use their tax cuts to invest in American workers. They didn’t. Corporations spent more of their tax savings buying back shares of their own stock than increasing workers’ wages.
[I suppose one could "blame" the corporations, but c'mon, he knew this would happen, its like adding 1+2 to get 3].

6. He said he would boost economic growth by 4 percent a year. Nope. The economy stalled, and unemployment has soared to the highest levels since the Great Depression. Just over half of working-age Americans are employed—the worst ratio in 70 years.
[Not all of this was his fault, the Rona and the draconian shuts downs/mandates certainly didn't help.]

7. He said he wouldn’t “cut Social Security like every other Republican and I’m not going to cut Medicare or Medicaid.” His latest budget includes billions in cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

8. He promised to be “the voice” of American workers. He hasn’t. His administration has stripped workers of their rights, repealed overtime protections, rolled back workplace safety rules, and turned a blind eye to employers who steal their workers’ wages.

9. He promised that the average American family would see a $4,000 pay raise because of his tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. But nothing trickled down. Wages for most Americans have barely kept up with inflation.

12. He promised to eliminate the federal deficit. He has increased the federal deficit by more than 60 percent.

13. He said he would hire “only the best people.” He has fired a record number of his own Cabinet and White House picks, and then called them “whackos,” “dumb as a rock,” and “not mentally qualified.” Six of them have been charged with crimes.
[Seriously, this was nothing but a giant circus and soap opera. But he said he would only hire the very best, and then end up firing so many of them. One of the hallmarks of folks with ASPD and/or malignant narcissism is sowing the seeds of discord and chaos wherever they go, especially socially.]

14. He promised to bring down the price of prescription drugs and said drug companies are “getting away with murder.” They still are. Drug prices have soared, and a company that got federal funds to develop a drug to treat coronavirus is charging $3,000 a pop.
[This is not entirely true, if I remember correctly, he did help to lower insulin cost, so kudos to his admin for that. However, the general trend was indeed still up and up for medication in general.]

15. He promised to revive the struggling coal industry and bring back lost coal mining jobs. The coal industry has continued to lose jobs as clean energy becomes cheaper.

16. He promised to help American workers during the pandemic. But 80 percent of the tax benefits in the coronavirus stimulus package have gone to millionaires and billionaires. And at least 21 million Americans have lost extra unemployment benefits, with no new stimulus check to fall back on.
[Yep, primarily mega corporations and already plenty wealth people gained, and everyday people and small businesses lost. Big surprise eh?]

17. He said he’d drain the swamp. Instead, he’s brought into his administration more billionaires, CEOs, and Wall Street moguls than in any administration in history, and he’s filled departments and agencies with former lobbyists, lawyers, and consultants who are crafting new policies for the same industries they used to work for.
[This is unbelievably true. More specifically he brought in people like Steve Mnuchin, one of the slimiest, most predatory lending Goldman Sachs henchmen of all time as his finance guy... If one wants to look up the definition of "psychopath" in a dictionary, there should be a picture of Steve next to it. Then billionaire Betsy DeVos who is not only a piece of work herself, but happens to be the sister of one of the most notorious war criminals/mercenaries who is another hard core psychopath--one Erik Prince. The guy should be in prison, and that whole family is corrupt and severely lacking in empathy and conscience i.e. on the ASPD spectrum. Drain the swamp my arse, he added a bunch of Swamp creatures to the swamp.]

18. He promised to protect Americans with pre-existing conditions. His Justice Department is trying to repeal the entire Affordable Care Act, including protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

19. He said Mexico would pay for his border wall. The wall will cost American taxpayers an estimated $11 billion.
[Hahaha, you guys should have known something was up when this all happened. One of the most obvious con jobs ever. "yeah yeah, I'm going to make Mexico pay for this wall" some 10 billion + later of Americans' tax money gone and its not all that effective. Really, how obvious does the evidence need to be before you lose your hard on for this con artist?]

20. He promised to bring peace to the Middle East. Instead, tensions have increased and his so-called “peace plan” was dead on arrival.
[And there was no justification to bomb Syria whatsoever! The smear campaign against Assad was primarily a Mossad and CIA/NSA collaboration. Just like it had been towards Gaddafi, and as Hillary Clinton maniacally laughed over his murder. Gaddafi's true "crime" was that Libya was trying to set up their own independent Central bank backed by gold. The international banking institutions/powers (who have powerful ties to the Israeli government and plutocrats) saw this and said, "We cannot allow them to become a positive example of independence so lets go in there and tear them apart", which they did with primarily the help of the US. Merica'F yeah. But y'all still buy the lies and the whole "left right" thing, don't you?]

21. He promised to lock up Hillary Clinton for using a private email server. He didn’t. Funny enough, Trump uses his personal cellphone for official business, and several members of his own administration, including Jared Kushner and Ivanka, have used private email in the White House.
[Oh the hypocrisy, it never ends among politicians on the right nor left. It seems one of the core traits to become a politician in most cases, is a severe case of hypocrititis...]

22. He promised to use his business experience to whip the federal government into shape. He hasn’t. His White House is in permanent chaos. He caused the longest government shutdown in our nation’s history when he didn’t get funding for his wall.
[Wait, I though Mexico was paying for it.. wink, wink.]

23. He promised to end DACA. The Supreme Court ruled that his plan to deport 700,000 young immigrants was unconstitutional, and DACA still stands.

24. He promised “six weeks of paid maternity leave to any mother with a newborn child whose employer does not provide the benefit.” He hasn’t delivered.

25. He promised to bring an end to Kim Jong Un’s nuclear program. Kim is expanding North Korea’s nuclear program.
[Well at least he did sort of work on relations with North Korea so this is sort of one of those "mixed bag" and relative things. I always give kudos when kudos are objectively due.]

26. He said he would distance himself from his businesses while in office. He continues to make money from his properties and maintain his grip on his real estate empire.
[Gotta make that cheddar I suppose. Who could possibly live off a President's pitiable salary of "$400,000 salary and is still on government payroll after leaving office. The president is also granted a $50,000 annual expense account, $100,000 nontaxable travel account, and $19,000 for entertainment"? Whose gonna pay for the solid gold toilets? He's so blatantly corrupt and hyper materialistic, it's not even funny--though it is funny that people somehow believe he is for the common person. When he pulls a Buddha and leaves the palace and all those trappings behind and actually lives like a common person, then I will believe he is FOR the common person.]

27. He said he’d force companies to keep jobs in America, and that there would be consequences for companies that shipped jobs abroad. Since he took office, companies like GE, Carrier, Ford, and Harley Davidson have continued to outsource thousands of jobs while still receiving massive tax breaks. And offshoring by federal contractors has increased.
[Yep, this has only continued full steam ahead. Another "big surprise" and an example of the more things change, from left to right or right to left, the more they stay the same.]

28. He promised to end the opioid crisis. Americans are now more likely to die from an opioid overdose than a car accident.

29. He said he’d release his tax returns. It’s been nearly four years. He hasn’t released his tax returns.
[Personally, I think that all elected public officials should only release their tax returns for when they are in office, and it shouldn't just apply to one and not the other. All the Congress critters, judges, and the Presidente.]

30. He promised to tear up the Iran nuclear deal and renegotiate a better deal. Negotiations have gone nowhere, and he brought us to the brink of war.
[Well this is one of those, many of the recent Presidents have brought us near to the brink of war in their beating the war drum, but fortunately they usually get some push back.]

31. He promised to enact term limits for all members of Congress. He has not even tried to enact term limits.
[Well, that would have been nice and a step in the right direction. Que Cera, Cera?]

32. He promised that China would pay for tariffs on imported goods. His trade war has cost U.S. consumers $34 billion a year, eliminated 300,000 American jobs, and cost American taxpayers $22 billion in subsidies for farmers hurt by the tariffs.
[But, he cares so much for the farmers!]

33. He promised to “push colleges to cut the skyrocketing cost of tuition.” Instead, he’s made it easier for for-profit colleges to defraud students, and tuition is still rising.
[Yep, that also would have been nice and certainly a step in the right direction.]

34. He promised to protect American steel jobs. The steel industry continues to lose jobs.

35. He promised tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations would spur economic growth and pay for themselves. His tax cuts will add $2 trillion to the federal deficit.

36. After pulling out of the Paris climate accord, he said he’d negotiate a better deal on the environment. He hasn’t attempted to negotiate any deal.
[Meh, humans are not the sole nor primary cause of Climate Change, so I don't care so much about this one. However, POLLUTION is very much a very real and big problem and we do need to clean up our act for that. Is it any wonder that so many chronic diseases are on the up and up? Partly food, partly health lifestyle and partly increase environmental toxicity. Sperm count of males in developed countries has gone down drastically.]

37. He promised that the many women who accused him of sexual misconduct “will be sued after the election is over.” He hasn’t sued them, presumably because he doesn’t want the truth to come out.
[Having worked with children with disabilities, I've had to learn about things like sexual abuse. It is fairly rare for both children and women to just completely make up sexual abuse claims. It can and does happen, but its rare. And when MULTIPLE women come out and say similar, then I pay attention, because chances are, there is something to it. Trump has always been pretty upfront and honest about how he objectifies women and considers them nothing but arm pieces and sexual objects. That is exactly the kind of guy who will act inappropriately and/or in an aggressive sexual way towards women. Course some like to forget the whole, "grab them by their yoni's" How convenient. And this, THIS is your white knight come to save us common people? Maybe first he should develop some basic morals and ethics, or even just common decency, like not make fun of people with disabilities or shove people out of the way, etc, etc?]

38. He promised to bring back all troops from Afghanistan. He now says: 'We’ll always have somebody there.'"
[He had PLENTY of time to do so in a organized and more effective manner. Why didn't he?]

The above was sourced from the following online article: http://prospect.org/politics/trumps-40-biggest-broken-promises/
As I said, I don't agree with all of it, but shared mostly what I either did agree with, or kind of agreed with. If it was more shades of gray/mixed bag/relative, I noted same.

I just don't get this cult like and non questioning worship of him at all (especially since it is so obvious he has severe narcissism*)? It is very weird and disturbing. It's like the polar shadow of how people worshiped Obama, which also was weird and disturbing to me. And so many clung to the lies and self delusion even after his admin proved time and time again he also wasn't for the common person. Obama expanded many of the horrible programs of the Bush admin.

*There is a teaching in the Bible based on the metaphysical concept of Like attracts, begets, and resonates with Like. Yeshua summed it up in that bad trees cannot produce truly good fruit. If your hero has so much overt/obvious ego problems and his character is so lacking in so many ways, how can you expect such a person to come and save you from the other wealthy baddies out there? And yet so many talk of him as if he was the second coming of Christ. Do you really think that Trump actually cares about any of you non billionaires that like and/or support him? It is beyond delusional. It's like a psychosis.

This will likely be the last I talk about Trump here. Like I said, he is just not my favorite topic whatsoever. And yes, this was a waste of time. Probably motivated more by ego (and some boredom) than anything. It's all gotten real old, from both sides of right and left with Trump.

That article is full of lies. I don’t have time to go through each one, but I will touch on some of the most egregious mistruths. No, the tax cuts did not go to the top 1 percents. That has been debunked. Most of the tax cuts went to the middle class. The way that lie worked was that it used the idea that the individual cuts would expire, and it used that future theoretical statistic as it’s base. The average family of four did see an increase in $4,000 due to cuts. No, President Trump did not cut social security or Medicare. He lowered the projected increases. That is not a cut. He brokered, I think it was four, Middle East peace deals. Unemployment was at all-time record lows for Blacks, Hispanics, women, and youths, before tha pandemic. Some corporations invested is stocks, but overall, they did create more jobs. Lower taxes plus cut regulations created more jobs than people to fill them. Trumpanomics was a success. He did rip up the Iran deal. He did distance himself from his properties and lost billions from his businesses while in office. The part about his salary is laughable, because he took no salary. There’s nothing wrong with using private email for WH business. Hillary used a personal server for CONFIDENTIAL and top secret business. Big difference. Mexico was going to pay for the wall via various methods where money sent there from people here would be taxed as well as with tolls. This whole article is ridiculous. He did repeal Obamacare and did replace it, but he was screwed by one vote from a RINO traitor. He said he would release his tax returns AFTER the audit was completed. I could go on and on. So many more lies to tackle!

Well funny enough, we are one of those average families that didn't get a 4, 000 dollar increase at tax time.

I do wish the author of the article did better source/cite, because I don't have the time nor energy to go through all of them myself.

However, even if the list is only 50% correct (and that is being quite generous), it is still egregious and indicates that Trump was more full of hot air than anything else.

But then again, so wasn't Obama. Then again, so wasn't Bush Jr, then again, so wasn't Clinton, then again so wasn't Bush Sr, so wasn't Reagan, etc And now Biden is breaking most of his promises.

See a pattern yet. Break free of this left-right illusion. I command you in the name of Christ! lol.

The reason the author had no credible sources is because it was a political hack job. It’s not 50 percent correct. It’s just about zero. If you didn’t get that $4,000 in lower taxes, then maybe you needed a better tax preparer. President Trump kept almost every promise. And he tried to keep them all.

Let me ask you Randall and JWhop, did Trump do anything that you either disagreed with, disliked, thought could have handled better, or the like? Is ALL criticism towards him just baseless b.s.? Not a single one sticks at all?

Did he just fart gold bricks and unicorns?

This could very well turn into a lead up to a bad joke, "you might be a cultist if..."

Oh, I commented under a number of them that are very true. Like non intervention in foreign affairs--one of his biggest campaign promises, draining the swamp--egregiously broke that one, etc

Heck, even just the golf thing, while kind of funny and middle school'ish, he clearly reneged on.

Promising to hire the best of the best, and then turn around firing so many of those he hired as well as belittling and condemning them.

Seriously...

The number of golfing trips is subjective. He was often working tirelessly into the night during his trips to his club. Compare that to Biden who has taken 11 trips back to Delaware and who doesn’t work past 5 pm. Draining the swamp didn’t mean just do every task yourself or hire people that have no political experience or who are otherwise unqualified. Being a political outsider, it made sense to use people in his administration that knew how to circumnavigate the political landscape and get things done. That doesn’t have anything to do with “not draining the swamp.” And firing them when they did not measure up, hell yeah, I approve! As far as not locking Hillary up, President Trump did what he could. He can’t control the Justice Dept. Also, there is a difference between political promises and political rhetoric. I pretty much agreed with everything he did. I had admittedly mixed feelings on his bump stock ban, but I don’t strongly oppose anything he did. I even loved his mean tweets.

Great research GCE. I wasn't able to substantiate it with facts when I said Trump is all talk with no action. He has not done anything worthwhile in his 4 years at office. He only brought death to the world. Atlas really got shrugged by a pubber who was a former democrat.

When you go to your dictionary to look up the definition of insane, you'll find your picture there.

Because, you are (1) either the biggest liar in your state, (2) you are totally ignorant or, (3) you're clinically insane...or all three are true and it's not even a close call.

You are always wrong in trying to characterize me or trying to decipher my habits such as caffeine drinking.

Trump has done nothing for the middle class. The rich has gotten richer under him.

He brought a curse to the world ... see #32 above on China. Trump also had lot of business dealings in China, before he became a prez , just like rest of the rich and elites. He encouraged everyone to trust the big pharma companies , who will get us out of this pandemic. Its 40 years and absolutely no breakthrough in cancer by these companies. billions of dollars all tax payers money, down the drain. and these execs surf the golf clubs and have their thing blown lol. The pharma execs just keep getting richer.

Middle class man doesn't own anything, be it their homes. Even at their jobs they are controlled by a higher authority. What a fascist nation USA has become and inspiring China to be one.

Go check facts. Don't look far, GCE has done most of the hard work for you.

Do you have a reading comprehension problem? All GCE did was post an article he found, and he even disclaimed its accuracy in that post. It was filled with distorted half truths and outright lies. He even spotted some of the lies himself. Get a clue.

You left brain/martians simply don't get it.

Trump is a con artist. GCE exudes his confidence in labelling him that. Go re read yourself , this time with your right side of the brain.

The whole wide world is activating their right side of the brain . Enough of fascism and building most of our lives around the left side of the brain.

You got it from Gods in the first place. King George, obviously , least interested in America and more in India and the east back then. Trust the new world order or perhaps the lack there of. Elites have to yield. They have been manipulating us and our foods and now our bodies.
