Do these people realize that by doing this they are actually hurting the people that they claim the want to protect by getting everyone vaccinated?“Pat Burke introduces bill that would allow insurance companies to deny coverage for people who refuse to be vaccinated” It is way harder to get an exemption than the left loves to pretend it is. https://twitter.com/patburkeny/status/1463169434873434115?s=21

That is going too far, but they already deny coverage for a lot of things (which is equally unfair - I have nothing good to say about the healthcare system here). IP: Logged |

The whole thing has become unreasonable. Reminds me of when they let a local 22 year old buy the majority of the supply of insulin and increase the price by nearly 200% Americans deserve better than greed in the medical industry. IP: Logged |

It's refreshing to see that you do have limits as to what you would allow society to do to the unvaxxed. I kind of agree with your statement about our healthcare system. I have heard people say it's much better in Great Britain, but I have no personal experience with it. IP: Logged |

I do see his push for that, as desperation in regards to all of this, in the middle of a pandemic, but I googled, and saw that he was told they can already do this. This is normally the type of thing a democrat would be fighting against. The republicans here, would also be telling us that the insurance companies have every right to do this - if they hadn't decided to help erode people's confidence in all of this, for political reasons.I kind of agree with your statement about our healthcare system. Of course I have limits. I see the un-vaxxed as having their heads screwed with, by people who know better. I'm not happy when they die. I came here to ask about those people who were convinced to get fired, in response to vaccine mandates, instead of quitting. If they were fired, they would get unemployment, but what about health insurance? Would they still be covered for a period of time? I also see this the democrat feeling desperate, in the middle of a pandemic, but this is something they would normally be fighting against. The republicans would also be insisting that the insurance companies have every right to deny coverage, if those same posters hadn't leaned into pushing lies about the vaccine, for political purposes. *I'm posting this again, because my edits don't seem to be working? Oh, and it is better in Britain, where we can go to the doctor and the dentist for free, automatically run out and get a prescription filled at no cost. You might have to wait for a while for some procedures, but I have friends who have really good insurance over here, who are also having to wait months to just get an appointment with specialists, or for other things they need to have done. That's why it gets on my wick when I see people going on about how wonderful insurance is, and how awful the UK healthcare is (when it's certainly no worse). You also get the option of paying for insurance - I remember one guy got me an appointment with his dentist, on a holiday. You can have surgery, without worrying how you're going to pay for it. I really miss the NHS, and if I ever moved back home, that would be my main reason for doing so. Aside from family and friends. IP: Logged |

@ teasel, the quote of mine you have in your post, I have no idea where some of the statements came from. Maybe you are picking them up from another poster...

I have heard good things about the British healthcare. I think it sounds fantastic for many people who want free allopathic healthcare. For someone like me, not so much, because I use mostly complimentary natural medicine, things like homeopathy, naturopathy, acupuncture, chiropractic, massage therapy, and from I understand, these things are not free, you have to pay for those. Doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, clerks and the useless bureaucrats at NHS all work for FREE. What a fine Communist plan...if any part of it was true, but it's not true, not a word is true. So, when you were running out to a doctor or dentist, someone paid. Everyone who had a job paid. Everyone who paid taxes paid so you could have your FREE medical. Disgusting! IP: Logged | |
