They are trying to save face by saying that since Omicron is more contagious, masks won’t work. DUH! The virus didn’t change its size. Masks have never worked. But at least the official narrative is that they won’t work against the current variant. So, teasel, are you still wearing a chin diaper? Or have you finally seen the light?

Omicron really blew the lid off a lot of accepted covid beliefs and dogma. But then again Fauci knew it, when he truthfully stated at the beginning of the epidemic that masks (and he meant non-N95 masks) were useless.

I still don't think most of the fear gripped and mask virtue signaling folks are going to stop wearing their cloth masks & requiring that others do too. EDITED TO ADD: But hey, I would love to be wrong!

I sent the article to a mask compliant friend of mine to garner her thoughts. She said after reading the article that she needs to start double masking, even though she feels like she is suffocating in them.

Ya know, it is what it is. I give up. It's not my job to save people.

We always used masks, we got Delta and Omicron and many times the normal flu, as it was normal with our special immune system, exactly as often as without masks.

I had always more problems in my mouth/throat after have used a mask, bad taste and smell in the mouth because the natural bacteria had multiplied too much, caused an imbalance and sore throat...so actually they can worsen peoples' health, not to forget the lack of oxygen...
