And in cases of rape and incest, (which again are only a small portion of all abortions) paternity could easily be established through DNA testing of the baby, which would result in punitive consequences for the rapist.

As opposed to abortion which destroys the DNA paternity evidence, and leaves the rapist free to continue raping and incesting...

So yes, there ARE consequences for men...

Abortion had become just another form of contraception. Disgusting.

But giving a birth by police orders is ok?!
Many fail to see that abortion isn’t something women do as a first choice, but because they don’t have other choices.

Men get to give a part of their paychecks. When women need to go through labors, postpartum depression, give up their body, and life, dating, socializing, work if they can’t afford a babysitter. Also, take care of a child’s health and behavior problems.

Moreover, many men are self-employed nowadays. It’s not always easy to find any paychecks to garnish there.

Huh, it’s only women fault again. They should care about everything. Men don’t need to bother themselves with using a protection and possible consequences?!

There’s a suggestion nowadays men are supposed to get vasectomy to help women. This would be a more fair solution.

I disagree that women only use abortion as a last resort. But maybe that will change.

There are a series of choices that are exercised before a woman gets pregnant and feels abortion is her only choice:

1) the choice to have sex
2) the choice to have unprotected sex
3) the choice to have sex with unsuitable men (broke, unemployed, unwilling or unable to be suitable fathers or mates) if being a single mother is not acceptable to her.
4) the choice to NOT use the plethora of birth controls available.

I get it. I used to feel that I could and should be able to have sex whenever with whomever, without having to deal with consequences. A baby/fetus was just an annoying afterthought, something that should never come before the mother and before sexual pleasure. I get it, I used to feel like this.

My thoughts on this subject have evolved in ways I had not expected....And I am glad the issue of Roe vs Wade is once again at the forefront, generating much needed dialogue.

I don't really care about all the hypothetical semantics..and I already know that no matter what I say, how holistically logical it is or what not, it will likely not change any minds here. (So I will resort to a combination of plain facts, and dripping sarcasm).

But it needs to be stated nonetheless. This is NOT a step in the right direction. Bureaucracy and government should have no say in what a person can or cannot do with their own body and its processes to this extent.

Also, historically speaking, women have indeed been overly suppressed/repressed/mistreated by men. Treated like they were lesser then. This is just another way to control women/females.

There are groups and men in this (and in other countries) that long for the "good ole days" when women were just 2nd class citizens, and seen and not heard. This is them, getting their way behind the guise of things like "religion". Sure, not ALL the people that are pro life are anti women's rights, but most of the people that are anti women's rights are indeed pro life.

I dare any of you to ask to speak directly to the Source and Yeshua, and ask them, do they have a problem with women having bodily autonomy.

Hey, my sperm are alive and one half of what goes into making a fetus. Maybe these control freaks (mostly rich, white old men) should also outlaw things like jacking off, because you know, every time I do that, these little spermies, which could turn into humans, die. Oh, the horror, the murder of it all.

Come join me, if you're pro life, best go ALL THE WAY. Ban masturbation with ejaculation NOW. Save the sperm from being murdered.

Actually, there are millions of women who are pro life. This decision has nothing to do with bodily autonomy. A Constitutional right has not been taken away. Abortion was never a Constitutional right. Roe was a horrible decision that took power away from the states. The Supreme Court just made things right. Strictly from a law perspective, rights not enumerated in the Constitution are reserved for the states. It is really just as simple as that. Each state can now decide through their representatives what their abortion laws will look like. And that is the way it legally should be. That sperm reference is just utter nonsense. If anything, it is analogous to a woman’s eggs. And rioting is always stupid, but rioting in states where the ruling won’t even affect abortion is especially so. Plus, protesting the Supreme Court is ridiculous. You are wasting your efforts and time. Protest at the state level.

I know that. I also know that most of them are for lack of a better term, religious/fundamentalist/indoctrinated nuts. God/Source/The Creator wants more spiritual fruits in this world, and less religious nuts...

I do agree that generally speaking, that states should have the right to decide for themselves, but there are certain inalienable rights and issues that need to be addressed at a federal or over arching level as well.

Yes, of course the sperm comment was ridiculous. Was meant to be. Was meant to point to the fact that if males were the one in this situation, but still with the power and control in this world, then they would sing a very different tune on this issue.

For example, if states had full/complete autonomy, then it is very possible that slavery of African descent people in the deep south could still be a thing. Or at least, not having full civil rights.

These were mandated at a Federal level, because they needed to be. Historically speaking, certain states were trying to keep these alive.

And don't forget, at one time, plenty of people thought not only were these things ok, but some even thought it good and necessary (especially those who benefited monetarily from it). Goes to show you how warped humans can be in their belief systems/dogma and ego.

That’s just it—states don’t have full autonomy. Abortion isn’t an inalienable right. And the real nut jobs are on the far left. Their religion is climate change. And it is as radical as can be.

Bodily autonomy IS and SHOULD BE an inalienable right. Especially so for a group (women/females) that have been historically mistreated and minimized by males and power structures for time immemorial (minus some rare, exceptional cycles and places here and there).

That effing Trump did do something before he lost the election. He appointed his agents to the supreme court, who knows nothing of the spirit world and are lop sided. Poor choice of Chief justices who think only with the left side of the brain . Yes, all rightists think from the left side of the brain. All leftist from the right side. It was sin to write with your left hand in the ole days. They will lose program control over you if you started using your left hand i.e right brain.

Wake up! The time is now. So many wrongs needs to be righted with awakening and how they manipulate and control you. Don't mind the lizards in this website. Do your part. The chance won't come another 26000 years.

Bodily autonomy and abortion are not the same thing. Anyway, this is reality. Roe is history. People need to accept it and move on. They need to refocus their efforts on their state legislatures.

You can have your own opinion. The constitution was meant to evolve with time. There is a process on how to update it.
In an ideal civilization -- you do not need a constitution. You are guided by it intuitively.

Liars (lawyers ) and money hoarders will go to hell. Elon Musk doesn't mind going there because he thinks 99% of the people will be there. What a better world to be a king there lol.

You are wasting your time thinking she will understand the comparison. First, a baby had nothing to do with bodily autonomy. Second, you can’t even claim such a thing after your support of vaccine mandates.

I do very much agree that the left has been very hypocritical with the whole bodily autonomy thing, especially in relation to vaccines vs abortion.

But then again, the right is being hypocritical as well.

When men start carrying babies in their ball sacks (or wherever) then maybe they will have a valid right to tell women what they can or cannot do with their own bodies.

What do you think that the baby is made from? Primarily from the mother's body. Those little spermies from us, only inject some information. All the rest of the material is taken from the mother's body.

So if the baby is literally primarily of the mother's body, it is more or less "her body" as well until it leaves same.

Why else does there tend to be such a strong psychic-intuitive connection between mothers and their children? Ever hear of "mother's intuition"? There is a reason for that. It's a real thing/phenomena.

There have been literal studies done, showing that mothers can accurately pick out the articles of clothing worn specifically from their babies, when mixed with various other same clothing from other babies--either by scent or some kind of psychic/intuitive process (or perhaps both). Pretty amazing either way.

Bet you the fathers can't do this accurately and repeatedly like the mothers can...

I highly doubt mothers can do that. Link to any studies? But what does that have to do with a baby being a separate living being from the mother? A baby is not an appendage.

For starters: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2717541/

Did I say "appendage"? Nope. More like a symbiotic parasite originating and sustained in the mother, intimately connected to and one with same, until the umbilical cord is cut and the baby is out of the womb.

Since the fetus cannot (easily, or rather, naturally) survive without the mother whilst in the womb until fully grown/developed, and since MOST of the fetus is made up of the mother's own bodily material... again, seems pretty clear that while it is technically true there are "two bodies" here, that the bigger perspective truth is more shades of gray, and it is more like one other body contained within and one with, or, "OF" the other body.

But I get it, y'all love simplistic black and whites. Nuance, relativity, larger context, bigger picture perspectives, and shades of gray are just not popular thangs here in Global Unity 2. It's all non professor Hulk style.

"Hulk don't like complexity and nuance! Hulk smash!"
