Here is a deeper dive: 54% think we are in a recession; 74% think the economy is negative; 54% say inflation is the top voting issue; 66% say inflation is causing strain; 71% say the economy is heading in the wrong direction; 19% think the economy is heading in the right direction; only 28% say democracy is the top issue; only 16% say abortion is the top issue; and they trust Republicans more on crime.
