BTW, Trump was instrumental in getting McCarthy elected Speaker. Trump, personally interceding with the 20 holdouts who voted against McCarthy 14 times and got them to change their votes on the 15th vote for Speaker.

Personally, I wouldn't have lifted my little finger to help McCarthy get elected Speaker. I don't trust McCarthy any more than I trusted Ryan or Boehner. Time will tell if McCarthy turns out to be the backstabbing little weasel many conservatives think he is.

I also appreciate those members who held out their votes until they got what they wanted, and did not cave in to pressure - even from Trump- to vote for McCarthy.

Those concessions were needed. We don't want another Mitch McConnell...
